hey i know u are all used to 50 ft tall robots smarter than the average MENSA member, with 20 lasers and 100 rockets, but why don tu take a look at a realistic system........

if you canned the idea of AI and kept it remotely controlled, would it fall under modern tech?

the AI will still be modern tech, it will respond to voice commands from humans.
You should look into the advances in robotics.

I thought you meant like sentient AI, my mistake

Where is the ammo stored? Where is the power generator (or battery)? Where is the motor (or hydraulics) that move the thing?

Seems a little too small... good concept though.

the ammo is sored internaly in the "arms" the power generator is in a "backpack" type storage area to the rear. The actual power cell type hasnt been decided upon. There are small electric servo motors in each limb.

EDIT: added external ammo boxes to second prototype, for easier reload (asisted by human infantry)

Looks good Phoenix Militia. I'm not sure whether I would buy it, but I would certainly RP with it.

The holy empire of Shazbotdom would like to know if there is any word on how much it would cost?

Several hundred thousand dollar per unit, no price set as of yet since it is still being devloped.

The military of P3X1299 is willing to help field test your new weapons system, should you require it. Also, our military would be interested in purchasing some of the remotely operated variant of this unit, if it enters production.

What did you have in mind? Do you have any old tanks, apcs or trucks we could test the weapons systems on? We do have an additonal thought though. We could equip the prototype with simuntion (bascally paintballs) and see how the BETA preforms against say a squad or two of your Infantry(you would be using simunition also) As for possible purchases, they will be available at some point in the Phoenix Dynamix Store.

Subject: Vehicles for testing of the B.E.T.A.

The military of P3X1299 has recently come into possession of some obselete M-48 tanks. We would be interested in seeing how well the weapons of the B.E.T.A. perform against the armor of those tanks in a live fire excercise. We would also be interested in seeing how the weapons of the B.E.T.A. perform against 2 1/2 ton trucks and M113 APC's.

That simunition idea also seems a worthy test. We would be interested in pitting two squads of our marines against two B.E.T.A. units in several enviroments of our choosing, including urban, forest, swamp, and desert. In order to gain a better impression of the B.E.T.A. unit's abilities, we feel that it would be unwise to reveal the testing area beforehand.
