Yesterday, mysterious explosions from the region of the as-yet unnamed facility to help build new ships to replace the aging space ships currently in service. This morning the Dictator confirmed rumors the facility was destroyed by terrorists, using an as-yet unidentified type of explosive, and the Dictator has declared today a day of mourning for those lost in the explosion. Enigma has given his sympathies to the families and has rerouted funds from the Department of Religion and Spirituality, as well as 2 billion from the government waste fund, to help the families recover. He has vowed the terrorists will be found and dealt with in a permanent fashion. There is still no news on how the terrorists got the explosive to the site.
At this time, no plans to attempt construction on a new facility are in place and Enigma is searching to contract out to an ally nation the construction of ships and spare parts.
In response to this, the Department of Law Enforcement has announced plans to develop a new enhancement to guns, nicknamed the "Smartgun System," to increase efficiency and ability to hit targets. The location of where this research is taking place has been classified to prevent terrorist actions, but we do know the research is estimated to cost three billion and take up to three years.
