Grand Duke Kos has given his approval for the start of a slow privitisation of the iron and copper mines in Apollina. Along with this the metal works and foundaries are to be privitised. It is hoped that this will free up Government funds and manpower , and most importantly provide a boost to the economy and an increase in wages. Our private sector that is dominated by small traders will also be gradually opened up to foreign investment; we hope foreign powers will help thier private sector to invest in Apollina to allow benefits to both thier and our economies.

In the space of a year our GDP has already begun to increase thanks to our new policy of gradual privatisation. This policy, along with the our new relations with foreign nations, has started to stop the rot in Apollina's economy, to our people's benefit. Already there are plans being layed down for a small, but international, airport, and $70 million is being put into stimulation of a new tourist industry; Apollina's beaches, archelogical sites, museums and services will be developed in a sustainable way to provide jobs and income that will secure the future of many Apollinans.
