And one... and two... and three space stations!

“Rudolph Corbelli” shipyards,
High Orbit over Nova Texas,
Wherever that thing is.

All three installations were now complete. At least, the job of the KKC (Keth & Korolev Corporations, a private company specializing in orbital constructions and equipment) was done. The three installations, a quite big one in orbit of Nova-Texas, other two smaller ones in orbit of good ole Mother Earth, were very similar. Indeed, ship cages, the dismountable skeletons that could be quickly reassembled depending on the size of the ship that had to be built within, were lined in a row, with depot modules between them. Behind the cages were various other modules. Refineries, factories, living quarters, power blocks, biodomes, etc. Everything interconnected by tunnels, that could also be dismantled, reconnected, interconnected et ad nausea.

All in all, the installations were quite mobile, very autonomous and remarkably efficient. The major drawback, however, was that they were very vulnerable to a military assault. But then again, nothing is perfect.

The final meeting between the KKC officials and the Allaneans was held in a meeting room inside of the “Rudolph Corbelli” Shipyards orbiting Nova-Texas. The room’s only furniture was a long table and chairs besides it, the KKC leaving the decoration to the new owners. The KKC representatives sat by one side of the table, the Allaneans by the other. Othek Keth, one of the founding members and administrators of the corporations, a rather young man in a typical business suit, imposed his signature on the last official bla-bla papers and handed them over to the Allaneans.

- Good. We have completed the installations following the default configuration. Since we used your people as work force under the watchful eye of our specialists, I believe you will not have any problems with handling the stations. If you do have problems, well… you can always give us a call. Now, as of the production licenses. Well, the Federal Patent, License and whatever other things they cater for Bureau has been warned and did the appropriate changes. I guess we could send you the physical forms, but so many of them… production licenses for space suits, modules, parts, et cetera…

He shook his head and sighed, just at the moment when the lights were out, just to come back on several seconds later. The people in the room looked up on the ceiling, the Allaneans clearly frowning, Othek shrugging.

- Guess they are doing the last verifications. We have left the military defenses of the station entirely up to you. Your engineers have been briefed on the installation of turrets, connections with the power and data systems. We have also received the payment, verified everything, so I guess it is all good.

The KKC representatives stood up, followed by the Allaneans, the two groups shaking hands.

- Has been a pleasure doing business with you.

It was not long before the last Taraskovyan specialist left all the sites, the installations now totally and completely under Allanean control, to do as they pleased.

KKC announces plans to expand into the jewelry market.

The Keth & Korolev Corporations have announced today a possibility of expanding into the jewelry market. This announcement comes after the company made public the fact that it has been building orbital installations for the nation of Allanea. “It was a very juicy contract, I assure you” – the CEO of the company has been quoted as saying. It is still unclear why is the company expanding into the jewelry market after the deal with Allanea, but some speculate that the KKC was paid in gold.

This news has been met with skepticism by the major Taraskovyan jewelry sellers […]

[OOC: For those interested:
1. My nation has a capitalist freeish market economy.
2. My governement does not give a rotten cookie about this deal. It has other things to worry about right now.
3. That is where my participation ends. Allanea does whatever he wants with the stations, builds what he wants - not my business.
Thank you for your attention.

Now, I need to get the hell out of the forbidden forum.]

Somewhere in Allanea
General Benning smiles happily as he watches - on subspace transmission - the freighters haul the beggining on what is about to become the Miriel nos Feanor into the "Rudolph Corbelli" spacedock, just as engineers work to add point defense turrets to the dock proper and the Robert Heinlein fleet rushes around it for added protection.

"Good," says the General. "Very Good."
