Two nights ago, the ILSF-7A Mercury Space Shuttle blasted off on the nineteenth and final launch in support of the Layartebian space station, called "Explorer." The nineteen launches were conducted in complete secrecy with the station orbiting now at an altitude of 300 miles. The last piece assembled was the final airlock, of which there are two.

The station can support up to forty-two experiments and has a crew of nine of the most highly qualified astronauts. Initial power problems were solved with the addition of a new module with small photo-arrays, conducted at launch sixteen. The station now has a power output of eight point eight kilowatts more than necessary.

Three escape pods are fitted onto the station, each with a capacity of nine people. They are on the Earth-side of the station while the main photovoltaic array is facing away, towards the sun.

The entire project has cost the Imperial Layartebian Space Agency a total of five trillion dollars, including shuttle launches and logistics.

The ISS looks cool I must say, I can't wait until it's fully completed so that I can see it from the ground here in New York.
