Starbase MENKAR IV

Captain Templeton walked around nervously. The year was 4183 AD and over the past millenia Guffingford transferred from an earthborn nation of warriors and Holy Crusaders to a central trading hub in space. Steel, Diamond, Crystals, Titanium, Platinum... Everything that can be sold is traded in Guffingford. The Sith were the most valued customers and their gold - acquired by the death of millions - laid in the deepest vaults of the Guffingfordii banking ships. How much money was it? Trillions? More. It is so much it has became an irrational number, like pi.

The construction of the Sith' Death Star was one of the finest examples of Guffingfordii engineering. The fine computing machines and the strenght of all weaponry make this vessel a true death factory, made to pump fear into the hearts of the most seasoned veterans. The more havoc it created, the more gold would fill our coffers. It was a perfect arrangement. If angry customers wanted to attack us, we'd bribe their leaders or blackmail them, whatever pleased us. Thank God we had no trouble with the Sith...

Captain Templeton sat down and drank some wine. In these times, a commodity like wine was rare and the only people able to grow the perfect, earth-like grapes were the Guffingfordians. Yes, many years ago a planet with no life of intelligence was found and it was splendid. The planet circled every few thousand years around the star Menkar at a safe distance. It became the foodbasket of many space nations.

If only he knew what the future might bring him besides prosperity.
