For the past few months there has been a military build up in southern Iraq relating to the smuggling of oil through underground pipes into Kuwait. There have also been several raids on banks in the city of Basra. Now the Emperor after receiving advice from the Ministry of Defence at BattleTech HQ has authorised regular military air patrols over Kuwait.
