Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this. SEATO (Southeast Asia Treaty Organization) is a regional alliance based upon NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). Like NATO, each member of this pact is contractually obligated to come to the defense of any other member nation should said nation come under attack. In a nutshell, if someone gives you crap, the rest of SEATO will rally to your aid and wipe that numskull from the face of our fair planet. If you are interested, please sign up here. We find this accusation preposterous! We have no plans on Invading Generic Empire now, or ever in the future. Disregard this statement, for it is based on absolutely NO facual evidence!

The Only time the Lightning Star has EVER wished harm upon Borman Empire was during the Lightning Starian Slave REvolt(Otherwise known as the third Civil war, the second revolution, or the Generia-TLS War). While the public still may feel resentment against your nation for when it defeated us by using sleezy cowardly tactics such as allying yourself with us and then quickly defeating us from the inside like barbarians, the Government firmly believes in keeping good ties with your nation.

1) Roach-Busters, as thread starter, will decide who is and is not invited.
2) There is precident in this very thread for nations already accepted to give their opinion on whether later nations should be accepted... whether that opinion is considered or not is up to Roach-Busters.
3) Sarzonia's request was one line with no particular emotional weight behind it. It is hardly necessary for you to tell him he is not in charge of the alliance, or to ridicule him. Roach-Busters decides who is and is not to be allowed to join.

OOC: RB is pretty friendly to me. I'm against the obnoxius and irrational members of the CAD, which doesn't include Roach Busters. In fact, he has an embassy in my country. In fact, it makes more sense for my country to join this alliance, after all, it is the Southeast Asia organization. I don't remember Italy being in Southeast Asia. The same applies to him. If he goes to war with you, he gets expelled. Basically, if any member of the organization starts a war with another member, the nation who started the war is expelled (but not the member who was attacked).

OOC: Yes, but see, in real life, USA and Great Britain are major world powers, so their power extends world wide. In nationstates, only the largest nations have enough authority to be a power in the entire world. Borman Empire, Generic Empire and some other nations don't qualify as a superpower (see the thread that's floating around in International Incidents). Therefore, they do not belong here.

We urge you to steer clear from this alliance. The decisions made by Roach Busters were poor and misguided. The resignations of Borman Empire and Generic Empire would not have weakened the alliance; in fact, it could strengthen the alliance in many ways, as it would rid the alliance of countries who are not powers in the Asian Pacific. The resignation would not have harmed Roach Busters in any way, as the countries are still in multiple alliances together. Instead, we regret that Roach Busters has made the wrong decision. The ejection of Japanese Antarctica damages the integrity of this alliance. An Asian Pacific power was removed in favor of reinstating two irrelevant nations. It undermines the purpose of the alliance as well. This can also be seen as an attempt to consolidate more power for the CAD, an organization which is notorious for warmongering, human rights violations and betrayal of treaties.

Nutropinia, your land request is the largest amount of land we can allow per delegation (50 Acres) (OOC: I know its not much land, but I want to make sure there is enough land, just in case if SEATO grows), however, you may construct any structure you may desire within the borders of this land. New Logan requests 50 troops be supplied only and the SAM battery will be accepted.

Ancient and Holy Terra, New Logan will give you 20 Acres of land for your delegation and allow the presence of your 50 Marines. We must however decline your request for the Armoured support you feel you require but are willing to allow you to also have a SAM battery in place.

To all the other nations of SEATO, as mentioned above, 50 Acres of land and 50 military staff is all the New Logan government will permit. The land is your own soverign soil therefore we shall also allow 1 SAM battery per compound and we would recommend you utilise your space to allow for Helicopter access to the site. You may construct as many structures that will fit within your space as you like and the size of the structures should be suited to your requirements.

The Empire is willing to provide 200 members of the Imperial Praetorian Guard to augment the SEATO security force.

The Empire would also request permission to assume the role of Minister of Defense in the organisation.

Nutropinia, the New Logan government has been in the planning stages for its new International Airport. It was going to be situated on the land in between 'Logan City' (our capital) and 'Embassy City'. If you like I can convince the planning board to fit in a 4th runway and terminal exclusively for Diplomatic flights. If you are willing to put in part of the funding for this runway and terminal it will make it easier to 'convince' the planning board on the benefits of the proposal.

It should dramatically improve delegation transit times in and out of New Logan for all SEATO nations. Because of the presence of SAM batteries within Embassy City, Military escorts into New Logan airspace will not be necessary. For all nations that will be utilising this permissable feature within Embassy City (OOC: I mean the SAM units), New Logan requests that inspectors be permitted into Embassy Armouries to regularly and randomly stock take SAM munitions to make sure there isn't an excess of munition or any 'missing' munitions. This will be the only time New Logan officials will request access to your soverign soil within our land. (OOC: within reason of course).

To Wirraway and any other prospective delegates for Embassy City, we will not be permitting the construction of private airfields within Embassy compounds. A private Heli-pad and vehicle parking facilities will be the only acceptable additions to compounds apart from housing and/or office structures. If all goes to plan, there will be, as mentioned above, an exclusive runway and terminal for the use of SEATO nations at the New Logan International Airport (NLIA). The Imperial Praetorians shall be deployed to embassy city on your orders. They are already equipped with the finest in military equipment, including XM-8 assault rifles, and are the elite of the Imperial army, therefore no equipping training is necessary on your part, however, the Imperial officers would be more than happy to assist in training operations for other contingents of the security force.

The Empire would also request permission to assume the role of Minister of Defense in the organisation.

Nutropinia, permission has been granted by the New Logan securities commission for the construction of two SEATO security bases aside from the three SEATO military bases already under construction.

Land has been set aside 50km south of Embassy City for SEATO Security base 1 (size of base is classified). There has also been land set aside for a SEATO Security Naval post on the Eastern most point of 'G Island'.

The New Logan Militray has also been given permission for SEATO to use Charlie division ASOS unit as it sees fit. This (Army Special Operation Services) unit is 2,000 personell strong and utilises the following eqipment:
