Humanitarian/War Simulation

While many war games focus on the strictly militaristic side of warfare, none tend to show the humanitarian side of protecting civilians caught in the middle of a conflict zone. What the Aequatian Republic is proposing is a war game with the civilian element inserted into the war game's conflict, played by civilians for realism.

Greigor Island Chain
The chain consists of four islands, one with an extinct volcano, one with a small mountain range and all with jungle and plains terrain. Each island has been given a designation and has minor infrastucture (dirt roads/paved roads between military and naval bases) for ease in command and operations:

Island Able
Smallest of the four, contains some jungle and is base of operations for one participant. One civilian camp just outside military base.

Island Bravo
Roughest terrain with a mixture of both mountains and jungle, Two civilian camps on opposite ends of island.

Island Charlie
Newest of the islands geographically due to the presence of Mount Iwo, a now extinct volcano and inland lake. Has some jungle and two civilian camps.

Island Dog
Home to the base of operations for the other game's participant, it contains only jungle and is similar to Able's environment.

Military Base of Operations
Includes barrack housing, motor pools and mechanic bays, airstrip to land transport aircraft or launch land-based aircraft and has guard towers along its perimeter, surrounded by chain-link fence with razor-wire strung along the top.

Naval Base
Contains a single drydock for the "repair" of damaged vessels, only smaller vessels such as destroyers and frigates may use the slip, as capital ships are too large for the temporary improvements.

Civilian Camp
Contain 250 civilians in simple housing and with supplies to last for half the duration of the game, it is up to the forces within the area of operations to provide the remaining supplies to the civilian encampments.

Objectives
1. Eliminate opposing forces
2. Provide humanitarian aid to civilian camps

Force Organization
10,000 Personnel (Includes all combat and support personnel)
No limit to vehicles, aircraft or vessels as long as their crews do not exceed the limit on personnel.

Lethal rounds will not be required, as the entire game will be using a system similar to MILES. Every weapon, soldier and civilian will be fitted with gear to be incorporated into the system. All information on casualties will be transmitted via satellite to the Aequatian cruiser RNS Hyperion which will be located just outside the area of operations.
