Tharra

A hush fell over the Chapel-Imperial of the Imperial Palace of Corva. The room was thickly concentrated, with all of the highest ranking peers and their families, not to mention the Grand Officers and Secretaries of State, and the Princes of the Blood. To the side of the raised dais of the altar sat the enthroned Emperor Alexander II and his bride, the Empress Anne of the Scandinvans.
The trumpets sounded with a deafining announcement, and at once all eyes were upon the newly opened doors. It was the Heralds-at-Arms who finally anounced, "His Imperial Majesty, the Prince Imperial."
All at once, the Prince zu Alba, first peer of the empire, entered, carrying the infant prince (who was wrapped in cloth of gold). Behind him were several Imperial Guardsmen (bearing a canopy of silver), and the babe's Governess.
Upon approaching the altar, the Bishop of Leige met them, and took the prince in his arms. Slowly, the prince was born to the great golden christening font, and sprinkled with its waters, "I christen thee Karl Alexander Erik Louis zu Tharra, Prince Imperial of Tharra, and of this empire a prince. Our undoubted Heir Apparent. I name as your godparents, just as His Imperial Majesty the Emperor has so graciously commanded, Mathilde, the Princess zu Ruis, and Saander, our Imperial Chancellor, the Count zu Ulron. May God bless you."
A cheer, more deafening than the celebratory cannon fire outside arose, and their were shouts of "God Save the Emperor" and "Hail the Prince Imperial."
