Flight #69 a Sudden Bomb

Present Day Comatica

Molvin International Airport: 11:36 PM

Kesperellus strode into the crisp autumn night on the runway of flight #69, which had just landed and was awaiting entrance to the hangar. To his right, there was a vast field of dark grass and apple trees. To his left, the bustling of the airport was loud and rather annoying to Kesperellus. He could make out the dim outlines of 12 operatives crouched behind several trees, waiting with AK-47s and grenades.

Kesperellus motioned to the leader of the squad. He held no gun, yet he had a pistol strapped to his ankle, concealed by his pant-leg. Kesperellus whispered in his ear, while pulling out a pistol of his own from his fanny-pack.

He placed his finger on the trigger, aimed it at an engineer crossing the runway, and fired a single round, bringing him down instantly.

A security guard came blundering toward him ripping his gun from his holster awkwardly as he ran. Kesperellus put a bullet in his head.

Another gunshot split the night. A bullet whizzed by his ear as six guards sprinted towards Kesperellus. The operatives shot down two as they revealed themselves and headed to the hangar. Kesperellus dove behind a pile of luggage. The guards found their own little pile and ducked down behind it. There was an exchange of gunfire for several minutes. Finally, the lead operative, Lucreteus, shouted, “Boss! you promised that you wouldn’t get involved in a shootout!”

“I couldn’t help myself!” yelled Kseperellus. Those were his last words. A single bullet found it’s way to his chest and killed him immediately.

The operatives finally caught on, and shot the rest of the guards.

Lucreteus raced over to ‘Boss’s’ body and placed his hand on his wound, transferring some of his blood to Lucreteus’s hand. A second operative hobbled up next to him, sporting a shot in the leg, and spat, “Shit. What the hell happened?”

“He’s gone,” Lucreteus said simply.

Kesperellus had been posing as a mechanic at the time of the plane’s arrival. Pretending to hear something wrong with the sound of it, he crawled inside the plane’s lower chambers, secretly rigging a large bomb to the fuel tanks. At the time of his death, he had a small detonator in his pocket, roughly the size of a screw. Lucreteus pulled the detonator from his pocket and placed it in his own.

With an AK-47 in his hand, Lucreteus sprinted to the truck towing flight #69 to the hangar, and fired several rounds at the drivers head. He whipped the door open, pulled the body out, and hopped in.

Spinning the wheel precariously, Lucreteus turned toward the mainly glass terminal and floored it. It did not go as fast as he had liked, but then again, it was towing a 37 ton Jumbo Jet.

The truck inched towards the terminal, and finally, after a long period of time, it smashed through the flimsy glass.

Lucreteus actually drove the truck in the terminal for about 75 yards, before the floors started to crack. He stopped, and pulled the detonator from his pocket. With one last maniacle laugh, he shouted, “Long live the communists!”

The plane exploded in a dazzling display of fire and debris. Parts of the plane carreened into the terminal and onto the runway. The glass on the terminal shattered, and soon the entire building was engulfed by a dark, evil-looking, 500 foot tall cloud of flame.

The marines met a squadron of 10 Comatic soldiers and Fieldmarshall Marcellus. Marcellus whispered in the Fruity Loop's commander's ear, "Up to the camp on this map."

He handed him a folded-up piece of paper. "There is a large group of communists up there, and they have been firing at us all day. Flush those bastards out."

A 24-Helvetia SJ was streaming over The Valderel Mountains. Little dots were crawling over the rocky precipaces, who the pilot could only assume were the marines from Fruity Loops.

He passed the continuous line of soldiers and continued north. The mountains became higher and higher, most of them now stretched into the clouds. After the tallest mountain yet( Mt. Surminaria, 32,167 ft.), the mountain heights began to decline. At 14,000 ft, a bang cracked the still air. An anti-aircraft shell struck the plane, sending it veering out of control. After a few involuntary barrel-rolls, the plane smashed into a rocky outcropping.

"Marines lets hope there cassualties are high for them,100 men advance toward the camp 150 stay back be ready to reinforce!" they nodded, They then ran out and got ready for the fight soon to come, 10 F/A-18 Hornets took off, heading for there target. Most said a prayer that theyd come back in one piece.

The airport was the largest in Comatica. It is most certainly not in service as of now, for the terminal and hangars are not intact. About 110 planes come and go each day. But because the city of Molvin is so large, there are multiple airports. Air traffic was halted for 4 days, but planes are now flying again.

The Marines landed, some on planes, others on assault ships. The CMN and Foxtrot News reporters were becoming a problem with all the photos being taken. One Marine even went so far as to destroy the camera equiptment of a few journalists. The main thing, though, was that 55 thousand Marines had landed and were helping the Comatics purge their land of anarchists.

A squad of 10 Comatic soldiers were wading through a vast field of tall grass. The cracks and bangs of shells and gunfire could be heard from the nearby mountains.

The squad was on a 2-mile patrol loop, all holding ZSR-90 Rifles, one or two holding bulky ZSR-109 Automatic Assault Rifles.

Around midday, they could hear a motor. Footsteps followed. Then, a communist tank emerged from the woods, along with 2 dozen soldiers. The squad dropped to the ground and hid themselves in the grass. Once the soldiers passed, Captain Clemens Deulemus radioed back to HQ, "The commies have left the mountains."

Numerous other communists were spotted outside the mountains. This indicated that they were getting more bold, and that they were growing in numbers.

The Marines at Camp Aabama (six miles from the tank sighting), scanning the radio communications for a good fight, decide to act on this. Their armor was still warm from ariving, so they left within 2 minutes. The hovertank quickly found the Red's tank and engaged. The 150mm Howitzer was primed and ready to fire on semi-automatic (magazine fed arty). They took careful aim and fired at the weak spot where the turret meets the chassis.

Lucrio shot blindly into the mist, catching the sound of a bullet hitting flesh. There were yells and cries all around him as automatic gunfire split the chill air.

He had been stationed in the mountains for over a year now; frankly, he was tired of it. Every day, one of his comrades was killed as the death toll rounded 1500. Explosions sent rock and soil flying through the air. Just now, his camp was invaded by communist soldiers. Things happened like this all the time in this war.

The fights are winding down by now, the commies appear to be getting less bold. The forces of Crazed Marines are no longer needed, for you have done too much and deserve rest. Fruity loops, your troops by all means deserve rest, but your aid is still needed as of now. If anyone wishes to send troops, do so if you please, but in small numbers. This will create an ultimate coalition against hostle communism.

Marabal, your forces may be sent when you please.

Cameras flashed as Emperor Lucius strode onto the stage. A total of 76 reporters were at the press conference, waiting to write down the emperors quotes.

"Citizens of Comatica," he began. "We believe the communists that we have been fighting these past months are on the verge of surrender. As a result, we are pulling the 26th infanry division out of the mountains, along with the second and third air force divisons."

The reporters murmured to each other as a frenzy of camera shutters clicking overtook the room.

Oh, we will have problems with them in the future. We always have. They are determined to mold Comatica in their image; an industrious communist state. But we will not let that happen, for as long as there is a strong leader in Comatica, the communists shall not succeed. But for the present, they are falling rapidly in numbers.
