The Emperor announced the introduction of impaling as a new form of capital punishment. He'd have someone put in place on the ground, then slowly maneuver a spike up someone's rear end until it emerged from between their shoulder blades. If you simply drop them onto the spike, they stand a good chance of dying quickly, as opposed for lingering days after the initial impaling like good ol' Drac used to do.

Yes! And we love to crucify our victims! Usually we force them to chop down their own wood and all! By the end of it all, they end up learning a trade!

Seems to us that your methods are needlessly cruel, impaling is only good for a public display against a public enemy.

We of the Sarian Free-States prefer quick ends to our dissidents, we line them up in front of the great portrait of the leader in Sar Square and shoot them once in the back of the head, the family then pays for the bullet.
The whole ordeal is filmed including the aftermath and used in propaganda reels across the nation, the level of crime in the country has never been lower.

Although capital punishment is used in Inshallah, we urge you to find a more humane method. Our national laws require death by beheading, and we ensure it is done in the most painless way possible--"the quickest stroke from the sharpest blade in the steadiest hand" is a motto used in the training of our executioners. If your nation wishes to see an example of this, come to the national capital on any given day and we will guide you to the executions. Crowds will occasionally gather, but we will ensure you a spot at the front. If you wish to implement this more humane and efficient method, we can train your executioners with ours at no charge.

We do not impale, we kill our criminals in gladiator fights. Feel free to send some.

hmmm.. seems almost as good as the trasponder" locator devices we have installed in all our civilians at birth. Should bey commit a crime more serious then grand theft auto, the detonation device on the transponder explodes killing them instantley. Its like having a firecracker go off in your brain. We can detonate the device at anytime, regardless of location.

Anything less then grand theft auto is punished by Public flogging in the nude.

We condemn these actions and plead that you find more humane methods of execution, or, if possible, not use it all.

Good Good Good, I am glad to hear that some other nations have found halfway decent ways of punishing their victims. What we do is first of all put our victims on life support right off the bat (we wouldn't want them to pass out and miss the pain they so deserve, and trust me, they will need the support with the type of pain they get). Next, little slivers of salt are shoved underneath their fingernails about 1 inch in. Then the most sensitive areas of the body are cut fairly deep (2 inches) and potassium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal is poured in (in the proportions required for black powder, the reason for this will be explained in a bit). Then the criminals abdomen is cut open with a mirror above so he can see what is happening to himeself. Once opened up, the organs not immediately required for life are RIPPED out and in their place we put 1 pound of C4 coated in salt. Next, the limbs of the criminal are sawed in half lengthwise and dynamite is stuck in between the halves (this all must be done fairly fast so that the criminal does not bleed to death before feeling the full amount of pain). Once the criminal absolutely can't take it anymore and is about to pass out or die, we give him a a good dousing with saltwater or liquified fluorine (sometimes hydrofluric acid if we have some on hand). Then, after all that, we light the potassium-sulfur-charcoal mixture we put in the 2 inch deep cuts then we detonate the c4 and dynamite just for good measure to make sure the criminal can't possibly come back somehow to do any more harm to society. Sick, i know. Keep in mind this kind of punishment is only reserved for those that are as sick as the ones imposing the punishment (mass murderers for which there is no hope, serial rapists, and other sicko's that are FUBAR, or fouled up beyond all repair, which is what they are when we are finihed with them). Any suggestions to help improve our punishment? So far we have only handful of peopel recieve this punishment, that is because they had no idea of it's existence until we created it. Since then everybody has pretty much been on their best behavior. Of course we still have the lesser crimes not punishable by such means but we are thinking of using this form of punishment for other punishable crimes such as robbery and jaywalking.

We find this cruel and rather inhumane, for capital punishment a surgical laser on full power and point it at the brain for 2-5 seconds, a painless process. It kills them almost instantly.

Personally, I (There is no 'We' in my government house) commend the use of capital punishment. I believe that this method, if the plan originator does not object, should be adopted at all my border stations. Any illegal immigrants shall be put on display suffering such punishments as a sign to outsiders.

If you do not respect the laws of my nation and properly apply to be a citizen within, you will be shown no respect, no human rights, no sympathy, and no mercy. Your remains will be a ready reminder to those who are considering an unlawful crossing.

The Emperor appreciates all support given to this new form of execution. Emperor Erik put much thought into what would make the most public execution which would put the largest detriment to criminal activity. We hope that this system works so that we don't have to execute them.

We already had the spikes laying around anyways.

In my own nation, such extreme measures have become a necessity. Most of the criminals executed that way are heavily armed and not even native to my country. The lesser options have failed and I don't have the jail capacity to deal with such large amounts of criminal activity.

The previous standard method was to heavily sedate the prisoner and toss them out an airlock while in high orbit. The bodies would be retrieved later for burial, closed-casket of cource. Those smart enough to donate their organs simply got a bullet through the head while heavily sedated.

simple solution to your "passing out and dying problem"

Keep them upside down during the entire proccess. As long as their is oxyganated blood on their brain they shall remain horribly awake through the entire proccess. THis will allow you to extend your torture for hours, even DAYS! ;)

Finally, another sensible nation that uses capital punishment; we, Empeor Alexander II, applaud you Emperor Erik!

In Tharra, torture is legal as well, and used for interogation for all commoners and serfs (regardless of most crimes in fact), nobles being exempt from this unless given special impeial premission.

Execution takes several forms, depending on social class. Serfs are generally either hanged, or more commonly, lined up and shot by someone appointed by their lord. Commoners are always hanged, usually in public squares for all to see. Nobles are always beheaded.

Other sentances include hard labor in the colonies; this is slightly less common, though quite proffitable (the average colonial laborer lives 1 to 1.5 years).

Nobles can also be exiled forever and their estates confiscated, if their offense is not that great.
