Inshallah Welcomes Negotiations, Treaties, etc.

Inshallah

The Foreign Ministry of Inshallah has announced their willingness to host diplomats negotiating treaties or participating in international conferences. We have many venues suitable for these events, such as dozens of four- and five-star hotels with experience in accomodating foreigners of many different nations. We have larger facilities, such as stadiums and convention centers, all convienently located near our world-class hotels. Our police and related security forces are highly trained and the facilities are designed to withstand terrorism, fires, natural disasters, and other unfortunate events. Our nation is noted for stability and peace, but if you need very high security due to the nature of the issue you are discussing, we will gladly host your event at one of our military bases.

Our nation is also noted for its beautiful architecture, and the capital is filled with spectacular buildings, notably the Royal Palace, several of the major mosques, St. Mary's Cathederal, and, most grand of all, the Tomb of the High Sultan, where our nation's beloved leader, famed for his wisdom and fairness, is entombed.

Our people are cosmopolitan thanks to living in a close alliance with the nations Inshallah borders, and many foreigners who visit Inshallah return to their home nation raving about how kind the people are.

((OOC: My forum join date is listed as sometime this month, but this is a large, old reactivated nation.))

The Dominion, after our embassy exchange negotiations, wishes to start a series of diplomatic talks with the leadership of Inshallah to forge an alliance that will serve both nations' interests.

Greenmanbry, the Sultan wishes to begin these negotiations as they are favorable to both of our nations.

Jaxusism, Inshallah is not actually the original name of our nation. Across history, it has been known by many different names. The name is actually a provincial name from AD 1200. A large empire controlled a vast territory (which is now fully enclosed within modern Inshallah), and one small portion became known as Inshallah, originally as a nickname, because its pious residents uttered the expression so often. Over the next 400 years, the empire collapsed and the people of what was the Province of Inshallah gradually rose in importance within the region. By now they referred to their territory by this name and had virtually forgotten its origins. In 1605, when the first Sultan rose to power, the territory he controlled was naturally known both to its citizens and other nations as the Sultanate of Inshallah. Except for a brief military dictatorship in the 1960s-1970s, it has remained the same ever since.
