Channel 45, USNews:
Anchor: Hello, and thank you for turning to USNews...your only source for fair, government approved news. Violence errupted in New Nick City today as protests against the USN's participation in Peace Talks with the Random Kingdom turned dangerous. A crowd of roughly 15,000 gathered in Wetsern New Nick, near the remains of the Old Senate Building, which was destroyed by terrorists earlier this year. The crowd was heard chanting, "Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! To Peace Talks we say no!" Police fired tear gas into the crowd after glass bottles and stones were thrown at officers guarding the protest. We now go live to Terry Torre, who is in New Nick and witnessed the events. Terry?
Terry Torre: Thank you Maria. Local hospitals are saying roughly 100 protesters, and 20 police officers were injured today. Most of the injuries are not serious and most patients are expected to be released by tonight. Police are blaming the protesters for the violence, and protest organizations are blaming the Police. As our viewers will remember, this sint the first time a protest in New Nick has turned violent. Last year violence errupted at an anti-draft protest in New Nick, which left over 50 people dead. Thankfully, as of now, no deaths have been linked to this protest. Maria, back to you.
Maria: Thank you Terry. We'll be right back.
