Cax yesterday announced the introduction of a new law, the Seasonal Holiday Act. Under this new law, it is a crime to celebrate any holiday outside the Government-approved time period designated to celebrate it in. For example, no Christmas decorations may be displayed until midnight of December the First.
Not only Christian holidays are covered by the law, and all religions have equivalent bans placed upon them, showing the Government's equal intolerance to all religions.
However, the law also included a section to protect people's rights to celebrate the significant holidays of their religion, as well as strengthening other religious rights.
The law was widely welcomed by the Inner Circle, and Empress Larhonda Koslan made a public speech about the law which was welcomed by the citizenry, as they were all pretty annoyed at the October Christmas decorations, and greeted by angry grumblings from the workers who had only finished putting them up.

An... intriguing law. I support that it protects the religious freedoms of the citizens, but what purpose does the law serve. Is it merely to keep out-of-season decorations from becoming an eyesore?
