A National Security Strategy for Imperial Dominance
Classified: Top Secret – Eyes Only
File and Updated: October 2004
The world is a dangerous and intimidating place for a developing nation.
To secure our sovereignty, the nation of Imperial Dominance has set out a broad strategic plan outlining its goals.
The following document is set on these basic objectives:
1) To secure our nation against acts of foreign military, economic or psychological attack.
2) To safeguard our population from domestic acts of terrorism – regardless of its form.
3) To ensure a secure place for our nation on the NS-World stage.
Realizing our limited power – both economically and militarily – the best and most efficient course of action is to have a well-train, well-equipped and highly mobile force, as opposed to a larger more bureaucratic force structure.
To achieve this target, ID will maintain its current military structure as a purely voluntary force, at a maximum size of 0.5 per cent of total population.
This force size will include all domestic (National) and foreign (Imperial) Forces.
This relatively small force, combined with a high level of government military spending, will allow resources to be invested to provide the best training, equipment and logistical support possible – while still achieving the three primary objectives.
Domestic Force
The Domestic Force is divided into 3 Corps, charged with the defense of the nation, including counter-terrorism and foreign force repulsion duties.
First Corps (Air): First Corps is responsible for repulsing airborne attacks, including continuing to develop a missile shield program. This group also has the responsibility of maintaining and operating the ID air-fleet.
Second Corps (Ground): Operating in basic platoon-strength cells, Second Corps is responsibly for all ground-based operations in defense of the nation. This includes an investigative branch that detects, monitors and eliminates any domestic threats. Second Corps is also responsible for maintaining independent supply caches throughout the nation – ensuring ready access to weapons and supplies in times of domestic or international conflict.
Third Corps (Sea): While not a proper “navy”, Third Corps operates a number of specific coastal defense platforms, including gun-boats, diesel-electric submarines and maintains the outward missile platforms protecting our national coastlines and shipping lanes. Third Corps is also responsible for at-sea Search and Rescue Operations, and has a small fleet of airborne resources at its command.
Imperial Forces
Unlike the Domestic Forces, the structure of our foreign operations branch is a single force structure – combining all elements (air, land, sea) under one common command.
Operating as a large and united Special Operations Team, the Imperial Forces are equipped and mandated to safeguard the interests of Imperial Domination at all costs. This may include, but is certainly not limited to, assassinations of foreign political leaders; acts of violence against civilian, military and political targets; undeclared acts of war; kidnappings, and “unlawful” arrests; seizure of lands and properties of foreign nations and corporations without notice; and use of weapons banned by United Nation Resolutions – including chemical, biological and nuclear agents.
Conclusion
Both the Domestic and Imperial Force are accountable onto to the Ruling Council – reporting quarterly (or on demand) to the Monarch of Imperial Dominance. The military leadership of each branch is solely the decision of the Monarch.
