OOC: This is my first RP, and i hope it is good.

The nobleman David Crow walked infront of 4 rows of 250 men each that made up the infantry group of the Yorling Armed Forces. Assembled into 4 regiments of 250 men, each divided into 15 platoons of 10 men, they where thye only defence against invasion, and where also the only policemen in the populated inner circle of towns in the nation.
They where assembled here for the years army reveiw, where each member would be graded for his service and possibly get promoted or recieve a badge for there service. However, more often they would be told to "Shove off, return to the barracks, and do better next year". The infantry is made up of conscripted nomads and villagers, many of whome could barely read any but simple books that many 4 or 5 year-olds in other countrys would be reading.
The infantry group was armed with short swords, daggers, pistols, and the occasional Ak-47. There training was just as bad. They have 2-3 days of basic military training, a test of there physical abiltys, and a written test on the equipment they will be using. After a man was promoted to an officer, he is given 1-2 days of training about tactics and logistics, and a more advanced written test.
As usual, Crow told the infantry to Shove off, return to the
barracks, and do better next year, and proceded to review the armored core. The armored core army division, or ACAD as it is known, required not much more effort than the infantry division to get into. An ACAD trainee needs to complete 3-4 days of basic military training, the same advanced written test as infantry officers, and a test of there physical abiltys. The
40 T-55AM tanks manned by 400 competent men diveded into 4 armored platoons of 10 tanks manned by 40 men make up the small armored core. Pleased at the ACAD's continued superiority over the idiots in the infantry division, he then continued to review logistics & support.
The logistics & support core is made up of 1150 men. Out of them, 400 are mechanics and other men attending to the needs of the tanks, aircraft and ships of the armed forces. 400 Operate and Maintain the 300 supply & transport trucks and 15 Super Frelon transport helicopters. 200 operate the 8 C-160 transport planes and 60 air force-related ground vehicles. finally, 80 Men man the cargo ship Swift, with 70 naval-related logistics personal in resevere. pleased with the men and vehicles assembled in front of him, Crow moved on.
A short drive to the other side of the outpost, and Crow arrived at the airfield, where a sqaudron of fighters was just landing from it's manuevers for the the review. As he aproached the line of glittering metal machine, the sqaudron moved into place in the line, and the pilots dismounted to stand infront of there aircraft. Sitting on the hot tarmac where the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Echo sqaudrons of the airforce, all 40 ground attack model MiG-21 "Fishbed" fighters of the main air force unit. off to the side was the Epsilon sqaudron, operating the 10 MiG-25 Foxbat interceptors hat where assigned the prority mission of protecting the nation from high-flying bombers and "them", which happened to by large radar contacts in space*. pleased with what he saw, Crow boarded his private airplane, to start his journey to Fortress isle several miles of the shore Yorling.
Several hours later;
Crow disembarked at the small airstrip on top of the massive rock known as Fotress isle, the lone guardian of the sea right at the border between international and yorlini waters, and Yorling naval base. here the supply ship Swift and the useless, adandoned coastal patrol boats Ocean City and Sandopolis lay anchor. As Crow arrived in one of the spare rooms and turned on the TV. On the screen he saw the Grand Duke**, who was in the middle of a speech.
"As the condition of the miltary is so abmyssal, i have decided to organise a complety reconstruction of the armed forces. In this program, all men and women at the age of 17 be drafted into standerd military training that will last 2 months, after which he or shye will be dismissed, unless he or she wishes to remain in the armed forces. Furthermore, not only will the troops be re-trained using our abilitys, foreign personal will be hired to help modernize the armed forces. Equipment will also be replaced and upgraded."
Crow then decided to get back to the review of the troops.
notes: a letter containing the Grand Duke's speech has been sent to all nations (ie, since everyone recieved letter, everyone can join in)
