Recently, the Democratic Republic of Evil Woody Thoughts has created a new colony where ultratheocratic Christians can set up their own little theocracy without bothering our mostly secular government. As all known ultrafundamentalist Christians have voluntarily left the alleged persecution of Evil Woody Thoughts for the new Dominion of Greedy Christians, we are offering the colony for sale.

I will perform economy checks using Thirdgeek to verify that you can afford your bid. I will look at the administration line item unless your bid specifies otherwise. If your region is too big for Thirdgeek, I will use an alternate calculator.

Bidding starts at $5,000,000 USD and will end on Wednesday, 20 October 2004, at 3:00 AM Central Standard Time. (I don't feel like messing with the transatlantic time zone difference.)

We were looking at the national budget as a whole when we made our bid, not just our administration budget. Since the addition of this land would enhance our overall budget and would also contribute to our national defense, it would be our intention to divert funds as needed from the national defense budget to cover any shortfall in our administration budget. If you view the military section of our world fact book at http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=366590 I think you'll agree our defense budget is more than sufficient to support a shifting of funds and still fully fund our military.

A goose that lays money doesn't seem that...realistic. No offense, but the idea seems like something out of a children's storybook...and a quickie economy check on Thirdgeek shows that the high bidder for EITHER nation has already outbid your entire GDP.

1) I do not believe I have the resources to purchase a 3 billion population nation, unless maybe its economy is Imploded and I can get it for really, really, cheap. :D

2) More Evil Thoughts was a fairly new nation, but it had more than 100 million people. I find it extremely ironic that the 7 million population nation fetched more than the 100+ million nation :p .
