(Jerusalem, IDF) There was a major shift in IDF foreign affairs today. President Kenny Williams announced that IDF would be ending it's long time alliance with Whittier and would resign from the Whittier Pact.

This action was taken in response to a threat against NATO. A high ranking administration official told us under confidentiality that he suspects Whittier is preparing to take over some nations and that Brezhnekov may be unstable and that IDF decided we shouldn't be associated with them. Especially after they threatened IDF with this statement.

Upon questions on whether or not Whittier would follow through with previous precedents of attacking those who leave the Whittier Pact, Williams said he didn't care. "Whittier would regret touching us. We hope that they don't take such action, but we must prepare for it,"

We received a telegram from a nation claiming to be in NATO stating that NATO was planning to attack us. It is only natural that we would respond by striking first as NATO would easily defeat us. But since the nation that sent the TG doesn't exist anymore, we are standing down as this seems to be someone pulling our chain. If you were threatened by a powerful alliance, I am sure you would have done the same.
We will allow you to leave the pact. However, just remember that we threatened NATO only because we thought that NATO had threatened us first.

Credonia is, and has for a long time, been interested in joining the Whittier Pact. May we do so? (What are the requirements and procedures for joining?)

"We are glad to see the IDF's peaceful succession from the Whittier Pact, and hope that it can lead to a greater bond between our countries. Though we have no quarrel with the aforementioned Alliance, which we hold in good esteem, the natural right-wing nature of the Whittier Pact sets us in different directions on the international scene."

"We wish the best of luck to both nations, and look forward to future interaction"

Well, no, we'd have laughed our asses off first, then gone to the "head of the dragon" and bitched for answers.

To date, NATO has threatened nobody. Of course, you didn't notice that.
