"Sir,The east have just declared themself an independent nation"exclaimed the presidents aide bursting through the doors nearly being shot by guards,
"Exscuse me..they did what?"
"Declared themself independent!"
"Are you serious? They wont be able to survive...i wont let them...ready the troops...be prepared to seal off the eastern harbours...if they resist bombard there cities...theyve always showed aggresion toward us..."
"Yes Mr.President sir.."as he ran off
the president yelled "YOU FORGOT THE PAPER IDIOT!"
he had forgotten the paper,an order to General.Catania his brother,Leader of the military. his aide ran back and grabbed it as he ran out and jumped on his horse..

"THE EAST DECLARED INDEPENDENCE! WAR IS IMMINANT!" yelled a man selling papers the next morning,recruiters waited for boys to sign up...flocks of young men signed up thinking it would be glorious and not long..many of them signing 5 year contracts not knowing so.

Nathan Daniels heard the newsboys shouting and walked a little closer in order to see what the fuss was about.

"East Declares Independence! Read all about it!"

Nathan was shocked. Yeah, the regional leaders had talked a long time made a lot threats like this, but he'd never thought they would actually do it. In a way, he was glad. He always figured easterners were better than their western counterparts, and now they'd be able to prove it to the worlds. He smiled as he walked to the recruiting station. He didn't know if it would still be open, but he knew that if it was they wouldn't be recruiting for the government anymore.

OOC: can I have some details, like cities, reasons for declaring independence, the president's name, etc?

ooc-of course,its a large area..main city is called Burlington..reasons they declared independence is mainly different ideas..they want to expand...they prefer having slaves...and there has always been tensions with the east...president is Robert Gatt..

in the distance commands could be heard 'shoulder arms,order arms' and being issued weapons and uniforms.

The captain was drilling the recruits mercilessly. He'd come from out west, hoping to gain some glory and honor, and he was saddled with new recruits. He had only two weeks to turn these people into something resembling a fighting unit. So far, he'd managed to teach them enough so that they would kill themselves accidentally. But he was furious.

"Recruits, Atten-shun! Stand! Reload!"

Nathan Daniels was angry as well. The man at the recruiting station hadn't mentioned training. The way he put it, you got a rifle one day and were a hero the next. Not a word of this hell on earth.

The recruits wheeled and turned, firing and reloading, for a few more moments, then began to practice bayonet charges on some sticks with melons for heads.

With a little luck, they may yet be alright, thought the captain.

"Ready the 23rd..companies A,B,C and have F on the reserve...have the FLV(Fruity Loops volunteers) in the front line next to the 23rd,have Vincents brigade in reserve next to 23rdF...We will make them pay..."shouted the president,there targer was -you make a base name...-the total men where 10,000 troops in the frontlines and 5,000 in reserve...there where some of the finest companies around...the men marched and marched for weeks,untill they had only been a day away.
"Set up camp here,here and here"the general pointed on the map,a evil smirk on his face as he knew that if all went well,the cassualties may be low and morrale would soar.
