Very recently, the People's Republic of Southwest Asia has doubled its standing army from 50,000 troops to 100,000 troops. It's Air Force has grown from 10,000 to 50,000, and the Navy Reserves are currently at 10,000.
It appears that the PRSA is preparing to go to war with a country, but life president Alexander Jin Zhao denies this.
"We are not going to war, but simply strengthening our military against future threats. As a result, we have increased our squadrons of MiG 41's and are now in the process of developing more lightweight kevlar for our new troops. Our navy is also being upgraded with 5 aircraft carriers, and our mobile divisions with humvees."
When asked where the money would come from, Zhao simply stated that the national treasury was going to increase taxes on the rich by 10%. When questioned about where the new forces were coming from, Zhao gave this statement.
"We're moving our normal soldiers into the ground and air forces, while using political prisoners to fill the reserves. This leaves us with loyal soldiers at the front while not comprising reserve forces."
