I was thinking, since there's a WWII RP, why not a Cold War RP? If anyone is interested, please post here, and the country you'd like. This is set late 70s-early 80s for technical purposes.

Rules are very simple, no godmodding or tech beyond 1986, but, we can take events as we wish.

I've decided to pull out because of DA's inclusion in this RP. I don't like RPing with DA because of his racism. As a Jew I feel threatened by his supremist views so strike me out of the RP ok?

Hey man, I can safely say that if he gets too bolshy the odds are he'll be told to f**k off, in precisely those terms. I don't tolerate racist crap, as you know, and nor do most of the people involved. So if he starts kicking off, it's likely that his ass is grass.

I won't tolerate any racist stuff either, and DPUO is right, most here won't, he will stay in line.

Sanctaphrax, that's ok- but DA will be reasonable here. If he does stupid crap, then, we will bury him, just like we will to any other nation. I will not tolerate godmodding or other buggery

You do realize South Africa in the 70s and 80s had institutionalized racism, so how can RP a racist nation with a racist gov't unless I do it with IC racism? Anyway, I don't mind RPing with anybody as long as they're nice about what they do IC and it is proper, makes sense, and they don't make a big fuss over OOC stuff and let that influence IC stuff (Most of the people on my ignore list, got there by making snide remarks IC and OOC for OOC reasons)

Ooc- I plan to RP South Africa as realistically as I can, that means it is certainly going to be a pro-apartheid gov't, pro-white, pro-israel (Apartheid SA was very pro-israel) and anti-black (Apartheid SA was quite anti-black), anti-West, Anti-marxist, pro-rhodesia. I try to do things as realistically as possible. It'll all be well thought out and IC of course.

Try and keep racism out as much as possible. Wait... what do I do. SA is pro me but anti America and i'm an American ally!

On the Dossier site, where is everyone getting their information at? I've been searching around for the past minutes and cannot find much info other than this book that I own called "East vs. West" that basically just tells how big military's were and what equipment they used, wrote in 1976. So meh O_o.

In all honesty, just dredge it up from wherever you can find it. I'm using stats from a couple of books, various publications on the USSR in the early '80s, and general memorised knowledge.
