And in very special news, this announcement was issued from the Prime Minister's office earlier this morning;
"Today is a great day in Pentovan history! We have started a nuclear weapons program! With the aid of our ally Generic Empire, we have aquired the elements needed, and are well on our way to becoming fully nuclear capable. I will now take questions."
Kazakian Reporter: "What do you plan to do with these nuclear weapons once they are made? Di you just intend to use them to threatin other nations? Or as defence?"
"Our country, as of now, is going to take a defensive stance with these weapons. We know the horrors these can unleash and do not wish to know them firsthand, but if threatened, we may use these WMDs to protect our sacred land."

A Military Journalist from the Fascist Confederacy raises his hand: Why not start 'small' and use the radioactive ore to produce nuclear plants, etc, etc? Isn't the unity and technological advancement of your people more important than immediate construction of WMD? And if you must have nuclear devices, instead of using the ore, why not buy them from one of the many storefronts that seem to spring up in this universe?
An Alexian reporter yells out rather rudely at the same time"Some belive it is stupid to squander the countries resources on such destructive weapons when you already have such a large ally to protect you,and that the money could be better used on the economic devolopement of the nation.How do you respond?

The first of the Imperial transport aircraft, seven total, touched down at the Pentovan International Airport in the capital. Scientists, technicians, and teamsters got off the aircraft and, under the protection of a small detachment of Imperial Praetorians, began unloading their equipment.
Professor Martin Van Nostrin walked down onto the tarmac, watching his team beginning the very first stages of a project that would bring him fame and fortune. A smile crossed his lips.
The Imperial transport aircraft would be flying in and out of that airfield for several weeks, ferrying the men and equipment that would be needed to undertake the project.
