Insurgency in Rouen
"Aller!" Urged a young frenchman, as he ran up the stairs with a G2 in his hands. A GIGN group behind him supported him, as he kicked in a door in the small apartment room in Annecy. He unloaded on a man scrambling for a Spas-12, and began clearing the small apartment with GIGN pouring in. Shots rang throughout the apartment. The GIGN used Frangible bullets to try to minimize damage to the scene, and they ripped through the twelve men who were planning in the apartment.
Military Intelligence were now in the room, scouring through all the information they could find. Seven of the men seemed to be German, two Spanish, one French, one Swiss, and one chellian, who was the only one who remained alive. Being the rat, he knew when to take a well-timed bathroom break.
The Laptop had been saved, luckily with no damage. Jean watched as a window screen came up, signifying the encryption process was broken. The .pdf file opened up like a cheap italian hooker. Inside lay tons of information, the file being Eighty-nine megabytes. However, the heading was quite clear.
*Plans for Insurgency in Rouen. Operational: 10/15/04*
Jean flipped open his cell phone. They would need to move fast. Rouen was bad enough, especially since the large mining operations on the highways to stop military forces easily getting into the city. A french division had long ago left their equipment in Rouen when they had gone running toward La Havre. Chellis never found the equipment, which was presumably heavy weapons, heavy vehicles, excellent equipment, and the possibility of a tactical nuclear weapon which was going to be used in La Havre...But was neither accounted for.
He couldn't get through. The main communication satelite over France was on the fritz, it seemed. He cursed so loud that a couple men began drawing their guns in fright.
OOC: To be continued.

OOC: To be continued.nicely written.
Jean sat in full battle-equipment, as he and two-hundred and fifty other men did in the Heaven cargo plane. One of the older models retrofitted into a Mark II, he wasn't too sure about its reliability...but he was comfortable that they had air superiority, at least.
He had taken an F-113 to the airfield in Caen, the city having a huge Chellian military base outside of the town. Chellian soldiers were a blur in this area. Preliminary information states that there were 100,000 or more insurgents in Rouen, dispite only having a populace of 400,000.
Some commanders suggested a tactical nuke on the city. It was earmarked for a last possible solution, but very doubtful to happen. The plan most likely was Antigone 155mm artillery cannons to come up from the base in Paris, and bombard what insurgent centers were known by Chellian informants.
Airstrikes would complement these, though only high-altitude. The CAF was afraid of smaller SAMs more than anything. These airstrikes would be to complement paratrooper drops into the cities, the huge drop would have 100 Heaven cargo planed filled to near-brim, 250 a plane, to drop into the city and take out the ATGM's, etc. They would have full artillery support, so they could win in smaller numbers.
Jean looked out the window, but saw only clouds. He put his head back, it would probably be another hour before they dropped. He wasn't sure why the Chellians were making such a big deal out of this. He knew insurgency was a problem, but it could be contained in the city with tanks and whatnot. Why were they being so secretive about Rouen? What did it hold, other than that possible tactical nuke?
"Une Minute!" yelled a Chellian Captain, spooking Jean for a second, him being right next to the jump door. Jean quickly checked his G-5, The newest weapon in the Chellian arsenal. He had it equiped with red-dot scope and a G-50 mounted under, basically a pistol mounted under the rifle. He was afraid it would pop off on landing, but he wanted to be prepared more than worried.
"Trente!" yelled the captain. Jean put his rifle securly tightened on his back. He peeked out of the window again. Above them, he saw two chellian aircraft, those big flying wing ones. He couldn't remember a thing about them, except that they could carry 40 tons of ordinance. He smiled a small smile.
"Dix!" Yelled the captain. Jean got up, and stood at the door, with his parachute hooked. "Cinq!" He had knife in pocket, rations, binoculars...he was ready. "Deux...Une! Aller!" Yelled the captain, as Jean lept out of the aircraft. The cold rushed against his face, the drop being a nighttime drop, and Rouen being quite cold this time of year. He floated down, hearing more and more men dropping.
The Missile came fast. No more than twelve men could have dropped out of the plane, when the Stinger hit the cargo aircraft. It lurched left, its right wing being taken off when it his the jet engine. The cargo aircraft went screaming downward toward the ground. Jean could barely see any of this, though he was choked up with tears...which really hurt, because of the cold temperature already.
The heaven he was in hit another, and later it would be found that Four-hundred men died there, the only two planes to be taken down in this insurgency. Jean floated toward the ground, with few men backing him. He was going to die, he just knew it. Why the hell did he volunteer for this?
*The screen turned onto live footage from a eurocopter, a camera having been mounted under the fuselage to record information. It begins to sight Rouen. A voice-over comes to the live footage*
"This is Michel Avignon, reporter for the Chellian Free News. We would like to thank you, our international watchers, for your generous contributions. Right now, a battle of insurgency has erupted in the city of Rouen. A large city in Northern France, Chellian military units are scrambling to stop the insurgency. Brave Chellian paratroopers have dropped into the city, and you can see the...yes, you can see some fire-fights going on right now."
*Gunfire pelts the Eurocopter, as it swings toward the direction of the gunfire.*
"Jesu..the fighting in the town has been bad for months, but this is defidentally a culmination... It see...oh my god..."
*The camera stares right at a LeClerc in the distance. It raises its cannon as the eurocopter fires two HOT missiles at it. They streak at the LeClerc, but the tank fires a Polynege at the Eurocopter, a tank-fired missile, and suddenly the screen goes blank. The feed is quickly taken back to Michel, in the studio.*
"Folks, it is crazy down there! We will try to get more camera footage, but its hard. The program's time is almost up though, so be sure to watch the presidential address tonight, where foreign reporters are being let to ask questions."
