CORONATION DAY

Rohan, Tharra-October 15: Today the streets of the city of Rohan (the "second city of the empire" after the capital of Corva) were lined with thousands of spectators, all wishing to catch a glimpse of HIM Emperor Alexander II on his way to his coronation.

The emperor just recently suceeded to the throne, about seven months ago. He was duly proclaimed earlier in the Hall of State (as is tradition). However, his coronation was postponed until now, due to a colonial rebellion.
Alexander II arrived in Rohan early two days ago, and has been residing at the Archbishop of Rohan's estate since then.

Today, at 7:00 AM, 100 canon shots were fired to celebrate the occasion. The emperor then departed in procession, under golden canopy, accompanied by thousands of nobles, guards, and imperial family members. The party arrived at the Cathedral zu Rohan-jn-Tharra.

Thus the ceremony began. During which the Emperor took his coronation oath, was anointed by the Archbishop of Rohan, invested with the sword, spurs, scepter, and other regalia, and finally crowned with the Holy Imperial Crown, as Alexander II, Emperor of all Tharra and it colonies, supreme head of the Anglican faith, and fifteenth empeor of Tharra.

It was truly an emotional ceremony. The Empress was also crowned, and homage was likewise done.

To end the coronation, a magnificent banquet was held. Meanwhile, a national holiday was declared; serfs (of which make up 20% of the general population) were given the day off, as were commoners. A new era in our history has begun!

((I like how you took the time to model a constitution and everything. I may have to do that soon, but I fear im not creative enough. :[ ))

Thanx; however, the constitution that my nation possesses is not reffered to as such in Tharra, rather, a "Grand Charter of the Empire", as the word "constitution" is both treasonous and politically uncorrect in the empire (stemming from the fact that the idea of a limit upon the emperor's power is a dangerous one in an autocracy.) as well as the fact that the charter does nothing to limit or define the emperor's power, instead it names it as absolute and omnipresent.

Also, it is not that hard to write a constitution, in fact it is quite entertaining in my opinion. Though my earlier drafts were quite...disturbing. BEST OF LUCK!
