The New Nation of Blacktower has fallen victom to a rebellion. Extremist Christian groups have begun skirmishes in the capital city due to the Nations harsh religious oppression. in its early stages With no official military pressence to speak of, Police forces have done there best to contain the skirmishes but are extremely outmanned. Mobs Armed with AK-47s and several other small to medium arms, the population has gone into a frenzy. Officials fear that soon other religious groups will join to have there freedom granted under a new government. The Dictator has sent out a request to anyone who can help to crush this uprising and preserve the Athiest way of life.

The majority of Serafima are athiest, we will come and help calm the situation if required, simply reply to this thread.

We are 1000 snipers and shotgun specialists in standby for you.

with elections abolished, the Christian millitant groups have made it clear that they wish to overthrow the dictator and replace him with one who is more lenient towards religious freedom. While battle rages in the streets, the fight is going form building to building. The religious group is facing more resistance then they had expected, as the police forces are well organized and well armed. Slowly but surely the millitants are pushing there way towards victory. Islamic extremists have announced there intention to join in rebellion, while Athiest citizens are taking up arms along side the police force. what started as a small faction rebelling has turned into a full scale Urban militia war.

The Dictator has again sent out a help plea to anyone who will respond.

Serafirma your help would be greatly appretiated. The Athiest civilians are unmarked and easily mistakable so please choose your targets wisely. Blacktower police forces should be easy to spot in black riot gear. Make your presence in the capital known and perhaps the militants will surrender.

As our current estimate goes, they are approximatley 5000 strong, while our meager pilice force in the capital is only 634.

Our police have taken the following casualties:

Rebel counts are unknown, but are assumed to be in the hundreds. Civilian militia counts are also unknown. Please help us quench this rebellion. How long until your forces can provide relief? I do not know how much longer we can hold out. The Dictator is wishing to be evecuated to if you could somehow provide this.

The Modern army of Golddragons is a huge, devout nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its cynical population of 759 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, the Environment, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas, the government is attempting to revitalize a gutted private sector, local executives are seen on the corner with cardboard signs reading, "will oppress the masses for food", and movies and computer games are strictly censored for violence. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Golddragons's national animal is the phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the gold.

General Radinsky looked on as the troops loaded up their kit onto the Il-76s. The Lasatanian Army hadn't seen action in over five years, but its training was second to none. A few religious rebels shouldn't pose a problem, he mused.

I advise you to begin at FAS and check out the specifications of Soviet subs.. The Typhoon is practically impossible to find. These subs are nowhere near where you would expect to find them, especially given the range of the ICBMs they carry...

Blacktower - 15/10/04 - 0900hrs

Overhead the sky turned black as line after line of IL-76s flew by.. inside the elite troops 17th airborne division prepared for the taking of the airport.

General Radinksy looked down from the open door and saw there was little activity. A few government troops looked skyward, awestruck by the site of 100 large aircraft flying in lines of ten..

The green light came on and the generl jumped.. soon after the sky was filled with 500 paratroopers - the initial landing force, which soon landed and secured the landing zone..

Small arms fire filled the air amid the confusion..

"Corporal!" shouted Radinsky, looking for an offficer to help him co-ordinate the troops..

But he needn't have worried.. the troops training took control and soon the resistance was quashed.. a dozen government troops were killed by mistake, but for now the airport was quiet.

Radinsky found his signals officer..

"Hertfeld! Radio the birds and get the rest of the troops to drop now. Get platoons to take the perimeter and move any people left in the buildings into the main terminal. Tell the Antonovs that we have secured the runways and they can proceed to land."

"Sir!"


Behind the IL-76s flew four An124s, inside each were two LAS-MBT1 main battle tanks.. the force was multiplying by the minute..

Within two hours the 5,000 troops had assembled, supported by eight tanks...

Radinksy checked the maps with his junior officers.. the capital was five miles east from here.. it was time to move and take control of the situation..

We do not wish the use of strategic arms in the city. The militia are only infantry at the moment, so WOMD should not be needed. I do not wish my people to die because of your weapons. If they die, it is because they were defending there lives, not because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

My sources outside this bunker have informed me that We have gained growing support from several other, yet I have not had any contact with them. Please, if your forces come across any of them in the feild, please inform them on how to contact me. The Police forces have been forced to retreat to the Industrial Warehouse district, to the general area of my underground bunker. Please, send troops towards them and provide them with releif, as they are now only 300 in number. I can not say how many rebels there are, the last estimate was almost 10,000. Everyone we put down 5 more take his place. Please we are desparate. The Christians and Islamic groups have joined together.

Also, seek out any pockets of Athiest supporters who may also need releif. Bring them to the warehouse district if you can. Thank you for all you have done, this day will not soon be forgotten.

Alex Dyrell sat in a Soft Leather recleining chair and stared around the room as the fax was sent. The Luxiurious rugs and elegant pictures that lined the floors and walls almost made the bunker seem like a normal home. If he looked closely he could see the cold grey cement that encased him and the other officials like rats waiting to be slaughtered. Reaching up to wipe a bead of sweat from hims forhead, Alex reached into the desk drawer and pulled out a Desert Eagle. after Loading the clip he set the gun on his lap and leaned back in the chair. The seat was behind the desk facing the only doorway into the room. If anyone managed to get in they would have to deal with a halo of bullets coming their way. Outside a dozen fully armed police guards stood by waiting for the main doors to be breached. A Gunfight would ensue, and Alex knew that this would not be enough to stop them. But at least he would Die fighting for his country.

Tell them that we shall move a special forces squad to their area equipped with laser target ID handsets. The bombers should be ready to launch in a minute and we need to identify rebel targets fast. Also ask if they could send one of their officers to act as a liason right now."

"Sir!"

Corporal Oblast ran up to the General.

"Sir! The vicinity is secure, though there's a rebel building about two clicks east of our position. They only have small arms by the looks of things.."

"Good, corporal. Good. It looks like this should be a walk in the park for us. Assemble a couple of platoons and proceed to take the building. I'll have mortar fire placed on standby for you. Radio me with your progress."

The general looked to the east. He could see buildings burning and the occasional burst of tracer fire in the air. Currently he had 5,000 men under his control.. but at 14:00 hours that would change when the remaining 20,000 troops of his division arrived. He marched up to the command post and entered the tent.

Inside the signals equipment had been set up and officers drew up the latest situation maps.

"Karlovsky!"

"Sir!"

"Contact Central Command, have them prepare another squadron of bombers and place them on 30-minute standby. I want to teach these rebels a lesson."

'Alex i will send my snipers to you' she said crackly, her russian accent hard to decifer over all the noise.

Three clicks east of the airfield, Lieutenant Prokalev saw figures approaching in the distance.

He hissed, "Men, down - now!"

Prokalev grabbed the handset and sent an all frequencies call..

"This is Lieutenant Prokalev of the 17th Airborne Division of the Lasatanian Army. We have unidentified forces a few meters in front of us.. If you are those forces and are receiving this, flash a torch to confirm this.."

If you can guarentee us that civilian casualties will be at a minimum, and the weapons will not damage any economic centers then use any means nescesary, however I would prefer minimal damage to property. Were not rich yet you know...

Another crackle came through the radio...

"My snipers... will..... you".....

"...What? repeat that... damnit, what did she say? It sounded like My snipers will kill you... Guards, be at the ready, we may have rebel snipers incoming..."


meanwhile outside the bunker, police forces set up a signal flare...

A junior officer ran up to General Radinsky..


"Sir, we spotted a flare coming from the city, we were able to get a fix on its position."


"Good, lieutenant. Have four of the tanks prepare to move out from our current position and have 500 men follow them."

"And you sir?"

"I'm coming with you of course. And could you find out whether Prokalev and his team have made contact with Serifmanian forces yet."

"Sir!"

A mile out of town, the Lasatanian forces met their first piece of serious resistance..

Mortar shells screamed overhead..

"INCOMING!"


Troops dived to the ground to avoid the deadly rain, which chucked up huge clods of earth and sent lethal shrapnel flying in all directions..

The barrage only lasted a minute but it was enough to render at least twenty troops useless.

Radinsky surveyed the situation..

Ahead of them stood what looked like a hotel.. the windows were smashed and the edges of them charred... It looked like a strong point..

The General jumped to his feet and took cover behind a tank, he took out his radio handset and gave the orders.

"Team Alpha, take position at the hedge next to the road, scope out the building and have a sniper shoot anything that moves.. Tank team, I want white phospherous rounds armed and fired at that building.. burn it to the ground.."

Medics ran towards those troops that could be saved, while other soldiers dragged their fallen comrades to the back of the column. The silence was soon broken by the sound of small arms fire coming from the building.. small arms fire that only lasted a brief moment until the first WP round hit... screams echoed all around as the rebels slowly burned..

This was going to get messy mused the general.. but at least there were sufficient troops to get the job done..

A gentle knock rang from the door.

"...Who the hell is it..." stammered Alex. Where was his releif.

"...Just an update sir. Reports state that Lastania forces just took out a large rebel encampent at the old Senguin Hotel, but rebel forces are now estimated at the 18-20 thousand mark. They are a veritable army sir..."

Alex sighed. maybe things were starting to go his way for once. sooner or later. Being a new ruler is tough, especially when friends are hard to come by, and your police force is almost decimated.

"...whats the word outside? any sign of the Serafima task force? what about those Rebel snipers that were on route?..."

"...no, nothing yet sir, but I will keep you informed. You just sit tight for now, we'll get you out of this..."

Alex couldnt help but here the whimper of false hope in the mans voice.

Progress had been slow.. Radinsky realised that there was no point in pushing forward without serious backup..

He radioed his second in command, Major Tulovoyet, who had remained at the airport with the remaining troops..

"Tulovoyet!"

"Sir!"

"We've met some serious resistance on the outskirts of the city.. looks like the rebel numbers are greater than we thought.."

"Sir.."

"Wire central command, tell them that we need the rest of the division in place fast as possible.."

"Sir, we got word, their ETA is one hour"

"Good.. good.. OK, we'll hold position here... also, wire LRA command and get that bomber squadron in the air.. let's hit them where it hurts...'

OOC: I'll be bit slow since I've got work to do this afternoon and I've not done too much this AM..

Alex crumpled the fax in his hand. apparently Lasatanian forces were held up on the cities outskirts, and they had to wait for the remainder of their support. Meanwhile the rebels continued to gain support from the public. Hopefully more Athiest citizens would take up arms and defend the Capital, because what was left of the police force had settled in near the bunker. They were a mere 200 or so now. He was in for a loooong night in a bunker...

Radinksy took stock of the situation.. Tulovoyet had sent another 2,000 troops towards his position.. there was no sign yet of the special forces making contact with anyone.. Luckily, the tanks were still in one piece and several mortar units had set up just behind his position.. It was looking like there could be a way of getting into the town centre fast..

He scanned the map.. the way in was plain and simple.. a highway.. He though back to his training with the new MBT and remembered just how tough these things were...

Five minutes later the tank commanders were gathered round the map..

Radinksy detailed the plan..

"OK men, at 14.00 hrs a mortar barrage will commence along the length of the road. At 14.10 you begin at the start of the motor way.. it is important you remember this turning.. this leads onto the boulevard that leads directly to the bunker.. at the bunker, I shall meet with the commander of the local police forces and co-ordinate a defence utilising the tanks.. I don't expect any RPG fire or serious resistance.. this is after all a minor rebel faction, or so I am told.."

"At 15.00 hours, the remaining troops from the division will proceed slowly towards our position, mounting a sweep and clean operation. We expect a bomber strike from LRA within a half hour of this operation starting.. I have requested they use laser-guided bombs, so targeting teams will be in position."

"I pray to god that this works.. if not, we're going to end up caged in like this damn country's leader..."


With that the tank crews jumped into their vehicles and started them up.. the rebels were about to receive a nasty surpise..

"good news sir, it looks as though the Lasatanians are finally making a move for the bunker. They should be here in the next few hours if all goes to plan."

Alex shuddered. yes.. if all goes to plan.

Inside his tank Captain Smolenksy looked through the scope onto the highway.. progress had been good.. the mortar barrage had cleared a significant portion of the city off the road.. occasionally a bullet glanced off the 50 ton monster, but nothing else..

The junction approached and Smolensky ordered his driver to turn the tank..

Just then all hell broke loose.. through the scope, Smolensky could make out heavy machine gun positions facing onto them...

"Dammit.. looks like we might have to stamp on a few ants.."

His driver responded,

"Sir?"

"Hold position.. Gunner!"

"Sir!"

"Prepare a few HE rounds.."

"Sir.."


Moments later the tank opened fire... walls collapsed as the HE round took out large parts of the buildings holding the reebel forces..

One round, two rounds, three rounds...

After that a silence fell on the area..

Smolensky looked through the scope again and saw nothing but dust and debris..

"Ok driver, proceed with caution.."

Behind the lead tank the other seven took up positionin a colum and inched slowly towards the bunker.. if something was going to happen, it would happen now..

(ooc: I gotta go take a nap, been up for 28 hours now and fatuige is setting in lol. Take it from here I will be back in a few hours. Im not going anywhere but the other side of the room in my bunker anyways lol)

Alex had not heard anything for quite some time now. No explosions, not even gunfire. Growing anxious by te lack of reports made ti him, he stepped outside his office and made his way to the main command room.

"...Whats going on out there Captain?..."

after a moment the man replied "...alls quiet sir, its nighttime, and it seems that the actions has leveled out. only a few small skirmishes around the city. last estimate of rebel forces was 20 thousand, maybe more. Our local police force has retreated to this position and is playing it defensive. Our new found friends have surrounded them on the outskirts and are moving into the downtown area. Also, there are several large pockets of Athiest supporters who have taken up arms against the religious rebellers. By our guess they could be anywhere form 1000 to 2000 in number..."

Alex looked annoyed. "I know all that captain, but what is our situation as it stands? Are we going to get out of this?..."

The man looked up at Alex but did not answer. The look in his eyes made Alex's heart sink. He did not know.

Cara manages to find Alex.

'Are you alright hun?' she asked, she ran for cover under a table when she met him.
'My forces are on the move, we are taking them out on the street, no casualties on our part right now' Cara said

Smolensky took the radio call from the general..

"Captain!"

"Sir!"

"What's the position there?"

"Well sir, we're about 100 yards from the bunker, there's only a little bit of small arms fire, not much else.. I reckon if the rebels were going to spring a trap on us they'd do it by now.."

"Affirmative captain.... OK, make contact with the police forces there if possible.. I'll start moving the troops forward.."

"Roger that General. Have you met any resistance yet sir?"

"None yet, I've sent out some forward squads and there's been little contact with the enemy. I think that cruise missile strike mihgt just have scared the shit out of them.."

"Very good sir..."


With that Smolensky edged forward toward the bunker, at the same time, at the edge of town, 5,000 Lasatanian Airborne troops prepared to make their way to the town centre... The end game was in sight..

Alex stepped outside the bunker for the first time in 2 days. The rebellion had gone on for two days non stop, then ended just as abruptly. Not even a gun shot was heard as the Lasatanians walked up calmy to the bunker entrance. it appeared that the rebellion had played itself out in the end.

Alex let out a quiet sigh of releif. Time to start rebuilding his country.

It is logistically impossible to paradrop 2 Million men, yeah? Oh, and its spelt Guard.

this message is being sent to the last known location of Lasatainian forces. I can only pray it is reaching you.
My army has just come out of a costly civil war with an acute sense of what honor there is in rebellion against the corrupt. we have appraised ourselves breifly of the situation and are offering to supply 6000 veteran troops, armed with (as of now) only basic weaponry, infantry only. we have suffiecient aerial resources to drop 100 troops at a location and time of your request, and will be able to send the rest overland. our troops are excelent snipers and abush soldiers, but are unused to standard millitary structure. we must hold back the majority of soldiers, given the many possibilitys of this world. I hope that you can use what has been offered.
