As soon as I clearly define the sides, yes. I will be allowing people to support either side.
However, I must warn all participants:
The Federal Civil War will consist of many battles, and during the courses of these battles, many extremely destructive weapons may be used by both sides. Be prepared for the possibility of enormous losses. I plan on at least 70% of all Federation and Rebellion forces/assets to be destroyed during the course of this war. In other words, if you don't want to loose any ships, don't contribute. You could send supplies, or who knows what. I don't care. But I do plan to use this war as a "launching pad" for new technologies, some of which are extremely volatile.

OoC: All the more reason to start building the Republican as quickly as humanly possible...at least as quickly as humanly possible while building something that falls under the category of megaengineering, anyway.

Yes. I will be extremely weakened. But I will have a level of technology that will allow me to defeat your "gravity cones" and your shielding systems, and just about everything you use.
And you also have to remember, the only systems that are currently known are Normandeicht, and Neo-Mekanta also knows of another system, whose name has escaped me as of this moment...

Okay, here's the deal. After my next post, there will be two sides:
The Federal Government:
This includes a majority of the Federal Worlds;
Federal Space Forces (mainly fighters, patrolships, frigates, light carriers);
Federal Orbital Installations;
Installations of Federal Worlds;
Planetary Military Corps;
Federal Guard;
And a few other surprises...
The Rebellion/Uprising:
Nearly all of the Federal Fleets;
Federal Worlds in Rebellion;
Istallations/Military corps of the Rebellious worlds;
Normandeicht;
A majority of the Federal Army;
The Black Fleet;
And a few other surprises...
Again, after my next post, sides can be chosen, and I will create an OOC thread for people wishing to join.
