IC: "I say, I say. A very fine view out there, eh?" commented the tall, spare man walking along the pier to his colleague, who was carrying a fair portion of his luggage. The woman glared at him but said nothing owing to having the strap of his camera case wedged between her teeth. He grinned innocently. "What did you say, dear?" he politely enquired, batting his eyelids. She glared even harder as he turned back to walking jauntily along the pier, towards the boarding point for the voyage.

Vice Admiral Wenfang Sun stepped off the chartered airliner onto Communist Rule soil for the first time. His feet cramped after a long flight out of New Caledonia, the VA gingerly shook them. Bidding farewell to the flight crew, Sun strode down the runway toward the gray hulk that was the terminal building. A light breeze brew through the airport, ruffling his collar and causing Wenfang to pull the overcoat tighter around his body. Reaching a pair of glass doors, he pulled and walked inside.
Marveling how chilly the north was compared to the South Pacific, the Vice Admiral passed quickly through customs, before stopping to pick up his bags. Welding a black suitcase, Sun hurried outside onto the curb. Central Command has told him a chauffeur would be waiting to take the envoy directly to the waterfront. Sure enough, a long black vehicle was waiting, a pair of miniature Granzian flags fluttering in the stiff breeze that sprung up. Sliding an ID card out of a side pocket, he waved it at the man. Receiving a nod in return, Wenfang slid into the back and shut the door.
The ride took the better part of three quarters of an hour. The driver maneuvered his limo through the inner city, before finally pulling up at the harbor. Wenfang saw the Titanic firsthand, close up. A monster of steel and metal, it's girth was one of the largest the Vice Admiral had seen, throughout his career. The chauffeur helped him unload the bags, before driving off, leaving Sun on his own. Striding aboard, Wenfang was shown to his stateroom quickly by a steward. The first thing he did after unpacking was to take a hot bath.
Premier Cross and Commissar Hasan Abdel had arrived in Communist Rule a day earlier via Halladi Intercontinental Airlines. They had enjoyed a night in a affordable hotel. A taxi took them to the port where they picked up their tickets with a confirmation number. They waited for the ship to allow men to go on board. Untill then they waited whiel luggage was loaded.
"Comrade, looking foward to your trip?" Hasan asked the Premier.
"Indeed, comrade Commissar! I only wish I were in 3rd class as you are."
"Oh? But what of all the national leaders? It must be facinating, comrade!"
"Bah, I'd prefer to be with the proletarians! Most of the national leaders are bourgeois pigs!" The old man chuckled, and Hasan did as well.
"What ever you say, comrade Cross." He laughed again.

Cardinal Summer and Bishop Jones steps out of their limosouine and gaze at the grand ship.
Cardinal: So this is the new Titanic. Looks just as beautiful at the first one
Bishop: Yes she is, when do you want to do the blessing sir?
Cardinal: As soon as we get settled in
The Cardinal claps his hands and Bellhops carries their luggages up to first class. But for some reason Cardinal Summer can't shake off this bad feeling.

The Avadrian delegation approached the ship in a several fine, black, Rolls Royces. The car parked outside the docks and the men approached the ship. They were all dressed smartly in long, tan, trench coats and dark green suits.
One of the men stepped forward and removed his hat. He sighed and stood staring at the ship. "Ah... she truely is an amazing sight..." The man continued to stare, admiring its length.
"She is Mr. Faulkner, but we should be boarding now." A smaller man, who was the Chancellor's adjudant, said.
"Right..." Chancellor Faulkner said, taking in the sight of the ship one last time. "Hand me my bags."
Two of the other men stepped forward with two large tan suitcases and set them beside the Chancellor.
Chancellor Faulkner turned to face the other men, his adjudant stepping aside. One of them raised a camera and took several pictures of the Chancellor standing with the majestic ship in the background.
Then he snapped his fingers and one of the men came to grab a suitcase. Alexander Faulkner took the other and they boarded the Titanic.

Hasan saw that the ship was now allowing passengers to board.
"Comrade, after you." He motioned to the ramp that led to the deck of the ship.
"Ah! Thank you comrade!"
The Premier hadned his ticket to a crewman, as did Hasan. They went onto the boat. Hasan went toward his room, in the bowels of the ship before James called out to him.
"Enjoy your time here, comrade!"
Hasan turned and saluted to his leader.
Likewise, comrade Premier."
Cross looked around the deck, taking time to relax.

Commander Smith and his family exited the yellow taxi and took all their luggage out with the help of a bellhop. The famlily wave their tickets and get onboard to a B-deck room that had an outer window for the kids to see the ocean.
"Oh wow! This ship is big!" Mark Smith remarked, as he took a stroll with his brother and sister on the promenade deck after all the luggage was done.
"Yeah." Sam had to agree. "882 feet, too."
"Ahh." Mark tried to fathom many feet stretching from the front to the back of the ship, but shook his head. The children continued to stroll down the aisle, watching the people come and go.

Nikolai Geoff, Minister of Commerce, the Ministry's pervert and lady's man. "Ah..." He said as he looked towards the ocean. "Beautiful..."
He turned towards the deck. He spotted some Halladis. Of course Nikolai was already dressed in a fancy suit. Might as well strike up a conversation...
He walked over to the Halladis. "Hello sirs, how are you this fine day?" He bowed. "I am Minister of Commerce, Nikolai Geoff of The Island of Rose, and you are?"
He held out his hand for a handshake.

Dictator Paul 'The Mad' Silver's Private Airbus A380 Landed at the Communist Rule airport. As soon as he landed he was met by three armored stretch limos for him and his entourage. In the Dictator's limo were his bodyguards led by Col. John Leary.
"Leary, I hope this ship is as good as promised."
"It will be sir it will be, I checked out security too, it is as tight as can be."
"Excellent"
Twenty minutes later the limos pulled up to the ship. The Dictator, his bodyguards and servants exited the limosines and went up the planks. The servants went down to their third class cabins. The Dictator went up to his B-Deck Special Suite with his body guards.
"John, this is even nicer than I could have imagined. Almost as nice as my private submarine. But now I will be able to meet other people. Maybe even some women."
"Hahah, yes sir. Is everything alright."
"Yes Colonel. Let me get situated. You go up to your A-Deck cabin and get settled. I will be alright."
"Yes sir."
"Men, You two stay outside the doors, make sure no one disturbs the Dictator. You two make sure the servants are not being to incompetent."
"SIR, YES, SIR!"
With that the body guards left and the dictator was by himself to rest before the voyage.
"Ahh, its good to be the Dictator" Paul said lighting up a cuban cigar and drinking a scotch.
Prime Commisar Alexei Leningrad Morozov had arrived several minutes ago at the Hattian embassy in Communist Rule only a few minutes earlier and was now sitting in a taxi on the way to the ship.
As they pulled up the the dock, Morozov raised his eyebrows when he saw the size of the ship.
"Not as big as the Freedom Ship back home, but big nonetheless." he thought to himself.
He thanked the driver and opened the door. He walked up toward the entrance and handed the man waiting nearby his ticket. He hefted his rather large suitcase and walked up onto the ship and then back down again into the lower decks.
He glanced at his ticket stub and found his room. He opened the door and glanced around. "Rather small, better than the army, I suppose."
He pushed his suitcase into the room and strode off, in search of something to do...

The Vice Admiral had just entered the lounge. Scattered about the room were wicker furniture sets, several chairs already occupied by passengers who had arrived early. Spotting a bar at the far corner, Wenfang was about to get a drink when a couple sauntered up from the left. "Hello," the man said. "How are you doing?"
Inspecting the man up and down, Wenfang came to several conclusions. His dress spoke of a privileged person, from the way his head was held high, it told the VC of time in the armed forces. "Very well sir. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wenfang Sun, Vice Admiral of the Granzian Commonwealth. From the way you dress, and your bearing, I would say that you sir, are a man of the army or navy."

"You are correct, Admiral. I am, Commander Edward Smith, of the Core Navy." Edward said. "This is my wife Nancy."
"Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled.
"We're here on vacation, and our children are on this ship...somewhere." Edward said. "They'll find us soon enough."
Meanwhile, the kids become bored and wants to ask a crewmember where the video game room is, if there's one on board. But there doesn't seem to be any crew around...
Chancellor Faulkner left his stately suite and proceeded along the deck by himself. He had excused his staff for the evening, allowing them to go off on their own and leaving him to his own devices.
The Chancellor slowly strode along the deck, admiring every detail that caught his eye. A smile graced his face the whole time. Something about the feeling of knowing that less than one-hundred years ago someone was standing in a spot exactly similar to this, probably admiring the ship just as he was.
Chancellor Faulkner continued on, looking down at the crowd on shore. There were always big celebrations before a ships maiden voyage and the Chancellor was certain that this was going to be one to be remembered.
"Ah... excellent." Kids. It reminded him so much of his own grandchildren. But no, he'll never see his grandsons and daughters again. Nor his eldest son and his wife, for that matter. He felt a short stab of pain. That accident... it had torn the entire the family apart, or what was left of it. Driven him even more in his work. He looked around him at the ship, and realized this was his first vacation in over a decade.
"You'll excuse me Commander. I'm on my way back from a diplomatic mission, in New Caledonia to be exact. A vacation." He noticed the wife. What a nice couple, he thought. "I must get going Commander. I wish you both and your kids an excellent voyage. I hope to see you again, perhaps a dinner meeting?"

"Yes, I am going up to the Lounge, I want you Captain to come with me. Lieutenant..."

"I am sure it is sir. This dining room is gorgeous though. I wonder when the first muster drill will take place. Hopefully soon, especially on this ship."
"If no one comes to eat soon, I think I will walk around and explore a bit on my own." The Dictator sighed and went back to his food.

"See, your always bloody late"
The woman had been standing on the pier impatiently for half an hour when finally the ambassadors sudan pulled up and he jumped out energetically with his bags. He smiled at the woman, when she was frowning.
"You have changed a bit eh? Thought not. We better go, your late as it is" he joked.
"What? YOUR the one thats late.."
"Never" he rolled his eyes sarcastically as they boarded the ship.

Jon left his room and waited for his wife. Once she came out they walked down to the dining room. Jon was putting on some sort of cream.
"You don't use moisturiser. What's that?"
"It's this cream those SIS guys gave me. It rubs in and soon you can't fell like I was wearing it, but they say it gives me protection, should anyone try to poison me via a handshake."
"Honestly, you really think of everything don't you."
"Yep. Now back to being slick."

"come on, let's go dump our stuff in the cabin and go down to lunch"
Mark suggested lightly.
"We aren't.. sharing a cabin are we?"
"Ah.. Course not.."
Cross heard the intercom go off, announcing that food was now being served. He had been leaning on the side of the boat, looking down at the city before him. The Premier sighed and then went off toward the Saloon. After a minute or so he found it.
He took a seat next to Hasan and many other unfamiliar faces.
"So comrade, how's your room?" Hasan asked James.
James shrugged. "Haven't seen it yet. I was to busy looking at the city. It's a shame their capitalists now."
"Capa-Communists, comrade. Or something like that."
Either way, it is bad."
Vice Admiral Wenfang Sun looked out to sea. "Yes, this certainly is a most interesting vessel, and I've been on a few in my career."
Just then, a wiry person strode up from behind. His shuffling gate reminded Wenfang oddly of a large duck. "I am Nikolai Geoff, and you?"
Aware that no introductions have been made, he turned back to the first man. "My apologies for being so rude, but I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke." Mr. Sun confessed. "I don't believe we've met? I'm Vice Admiral Wenfang Sun, of the Granzian Navy."
"Ah yes, I'm Chancellor Alexander Faulkner of Avadria" He said extending a hand. "The Voice of the Emperor" The Chancellor said laughing. It was part of his title although he had always thought it sounded a bit odd. But then again each branch had it's own part.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Sun and I'm terribly sorry about the smoke... I really should save it for a more appropriate area." He said humbly.
"Oh, it's not a big deal. I was a smoker when I was in my younger years, before I realized what the stuff did. It must be interesting, by the way, to be the Voice of the Emporer. Me, I'm won't need a voice in a few more years." The Vice Admiral winked. "I'll be retired..."
Here, the intercom buzzed to life, then sputtered out the lunch menu. Wenfang wrinkled his nose. "Absolutely barbaric." He turned to the Rosian. "Did you know the Beluga is a whale? I don't know how they got fish eggs from a mammal. I think I'll stick to a simple salad, or whatever that's not today's special."

Nikolai shrugged. "Bah. Fancy Beluga. I know thousands more who'd rather eat a cheeseburger with empanadas, fries and croquettes then eat whale eggs."
He chuckled. "Why do people find exotic foods better anyway? They're usually disgusting. I think it's a phallic disorder... eh."
"Erumph... er... whales don't lay eggs. They give birth to live young. So it's impossible for there to be beluga eggs... unless it's a mutated monster."

When the passengers walked into the elegant, perfect replica of the original Titanic's first class dining saloon, they would have passed through the First Class Grand Staircase, most likely. The Grand Staircase was an amazing feature of the ship. Up top rested beautiful and fragile class with gilded iron supporting it. Beneath, elegant linoleum (Linoleum was considered all the rage in 1912) sat upon an immense feature of beautifully carved and polished wood. Sparkling gold-plated sculptures held lighting, while "Honor and Glory surrounding Time," a beautiful inlaid sculpture of two angels around a clock, was the main facet of the Grand Staircase. Your hands would slide along the polished railings as your eyes took in the wonderful gilded iron beneath it. You feel your feet sink into the ground. You are at first surprised until you realize you're on D Deck, where the carpet is incredibly thick and luxurious.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v345/JamesCarville/1st_saloon.jpg
You gaze around and spot some friends you've met, and move to sit down with them. Waiters bustle around, setting grand feasts infront of you. You are delighted as elegant classic music plays. You notice some men in Naval-type jackets entering the room and filtering towards the staircase. They talk amongst themselves, and you wonder what they are preparing to say.
The Chancellor laughed as he listened to the exchange between the Vice Admiral and the man he hadn't met yet. "Ah, you've gotta live it up. That's what this whole trip is about." He said, nudging the Granzian. "Who cares where the eggs come from, their expensive and you don't eat them everyday... that's what counts..."

Nikolai followed Sun. "Bah, I hope it's cheeseburgers."
Chancellor Faulkner nodded at the suggestion. "God knows... but I'm sure it would cost a small fortune on the shore" He said laughing.
Although the Chancellor was a wealthy man, he was never one to spend his money on exotic foods. Overall he prefered simple, local, foods to extavagant dishes. Of course on some occassions he host a small feast for his guests.
Nikolai followed Sun. "Bah, I hope it's cheeseburgers."
"Haha... I can see it now. They've put a McDonald's on the Titanic! Oh, and those Happy Meals with the little toys, I'd like to get one of those."

"Shouldn't you be conversing with all of the world leaders any generally making our great nation greater."
"Yes, but there are Rosians about."
The Commissar chuckled. "Lock your daughters up, comrades, there be Rosians about!" He said so no one would here but the Premier.

"Col. Leary we should invite the other people over to eat dinner with us."
"Certainly, Sir."
The Colonel Got up and walked over to all the people who recently entered the 1st class saloon.
"The Dictator would like to invite Jon and Jenny, Chancellor Alexander Faulkner, Vice Admiral Wenfang Sun and Nikolai to join him for a pleasant, smoke-free Admiral, lunch at his table."
Bugsy Siegel III. was enjoying his time on Titanic. He was the grandson of the Jewish mobster who had founded Las Vegas. He was the hot head that his grandfather was. He was also ruthless and it was guessed that he'd get a bullet in his eye just like his old man's father did.
He was taking this voyage to start a system to get some high quality Opium from Europe to the states. He wasn't traveling alone. He was with his business parter and longtime friend, Meyer Lansky III. He was the great grandson of the famous mobster who was parters with Bugsy Siegel the first. lansky was the money man and the cooler of the pair. His grandfather lived until the age of 80 because he had brains and didn't piss as many people off.
Lansky and Siegel were trying to give the Jewish mob a rebirth. Business was set aside at this time, now the question was what to eat for dinner in the 1st class dining room, Filet Minon or broiled lobster tails.
OOC: (In the Godfather, they had Bugsy Siegel, but Puzo used the name Moe Green for him and didn't make him Jewish. He did found Vegas and in RL was killed by a bullet through the eye. His parter was Meyer Lansky who was represented by Hyman Roth in Godfather Part II. In RL, Lansky died of old age in 1983. He saw Godfather Part II knowing he was represented by Hyman Roth. He even even phoned the actor who portrayed him to complain about how he got some things wrong.)

"Isn't it wonderful Mark? This is beautiful.."
"Bah. I've seen better."
"Oh really? Where was that? Your one roomed apartment in Dorsalgrad?" Arianne asked sarcastically.
"No, I mean, yea- wow!"
Mark's eyes had strayed off the glamorous wood coverings and to the lines of amazing food. He wandered off to taste the cuisine, leaving Arianne stuck. She looked around, and spotted a gentleman who had just entered the dining room. He looked... Halladi? No.. Rosian. That was it. Rosian. She had had dealings with Rosians before... ah well. The men in the 1st Class Reception Room, wearing officer coats and standing at the base of the grand staircase, called for everyone's attention.
The eldest officer spoke, "My dear passengers, allow me to welcome you aboard the grand splendor of the Red Star Line's R.M.S. Titanic!"
He paused for the quick applause, before continuing, "My name is Captain Igor Platonov. To my right are Chief Officer Khruschev, 1st Officer Vasilev, Second Officer Zaitsev, and Third Officer Nikitin. On my left are Fourth Officer Petrov, Fifth Officer Zhukov, and Sixth Officer Morozov is currently upon the bridge.
"These fine men will be the ship's eyes, hands, ears, and mouth. Furthermore, I'd like to congratulate Fifth Officer Zhukov, as his wife is pregnant."
He paused again for applause.
"We will cast away from the berth after luncheon. I invite you all to the boat deck to witness this. However, before I let you eat, I'll give you some brief statistics on the Titanic.
"The Titanic is approximately 883 feet long, and 175 feet tall. We can make approximately 26 knots with favorable conditions, and have a maximum capacity of around 2,000.
"We are powered by 29 coal-fired boilers, which feed two triple-expansion, steam-driven reciprocating engines and a low-pressure turbine. We have three screws, each of the outer driven by the engines and the center by the turbine.
"We displace about 50,000 tons. We have ample provisions aboard for a small city, and every safety requirement is exceeded. I daresay that this ship is nearly sinkable."
The Captain winked, and bid the passengers adieu before stewards flooded into the room with large, shining trays of comestibles.

"Here here!" Cross and the Commissar said in unicine, Hasan now standing.
Morozov slinked quietly into the room, he had a tendency to be late to things like this, after all. Looking around quickly, he made his way to a seat beside Premier Cross.
He sat down, withdrew a silver flask from his coat and took a long gulp from it. Once he was done, he leaned over and said quietly, "Good afternoon, Premier Cross..."
