Following the announcement of the expansion of Lasatanian armed forces by Governess Yetskora, Lasatanian State Defence Industries inaugurated development work on two new ICBMs.

The LAS-SS2 'Sharpner'features a 20MT warhead and provides Lasatania with a intercontinental strike capability, tied with a highly destructive payload.

The LAS-SS3 Surfer features three MIRVed independent warheads of 400Kt, capable of targeting sites up to 1000km apart. The mobile launch system used by the LAS-SS3 allows for launch within 15 minutes of the order being given.

The Modern army of Golddragons is a huge, devout nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its cynical population of 759 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, the Environment, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas, the government is attempting to revitalize a gutted private sector, local executives are seen on the corner with cardboard signs reading, "will oppress the masses for food", and movies and computer games are strictly censored for violence. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Golddragons's national animal is the phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the gold.

While we have no need for ICBM technology, Drabikstan's Defence Ministry is interested in aquiring IRBM technology. As a socialist ally, would the Lasatanian government be prepared to share such technology?

IC: Regarding the proliferation of ICBM technology. Lasatania would be willing to deploy ICBM forces in Drabikstan, to act as a deterrent to any unprovoked agression. Though these forces would remain under the strict control of Lasatanian Central Command. In a few years, we would be willing to help your state develop an ICBM system, though not right now given the level of nuclear proliferation taking place.
