Nutropinia

Colonel Jack McDougan walked into the control bunker for one of the brand new Peacekeeper missiles that were being built all across Nutropinia. The nuclear tipped missiles were the pride and joy of Nutropinia and were a symbol of the power wielded by the Dictator. The Colonel was proud to work on the missile program for the country he treasured dearly. The bunker was five miles south of the silo it was built to control. Already inside the bunker were two young first Lieutenants, Lieutenant Edward Rifkin and Lieutenant Max Johnson, the soldiers who ran the systems to launch the Peacekeeper. Upon seeing the Colonel enter the two officers sprung to attention.
"At ease boys" The Colonel said while Max and Ed relaxed, "As you very well know today will be the first test of this brand new missile silo."
"Yes Sir, we are ready to start the test. How was your trip out to the silo," Inquired Max.
"Fine Gentlemen. I am glad to see that the bunker is as well protected as I requested."
The protection for the bunker was state of the art. Outside of the bunker are four automated gun turrets controling 7.62mm Vulcan Miniguns that fire on anyone who approaches without wearing the proper RFID tag. Once past the machine guns, a retinal scan must be performed to open the first hatch. The second hatch is opened by entering a code that is changed daily. After climbing down a ladder, a palm scan must be performed to enter the elevator. To get the elevator to go down another code that is changed daily must be entered. Finally to open the door at the bottom another retinal scan is performed.
"Lets dispense with the pleasantries boys and begin the exercise."
"Right away sir!" Both officers replyed.
"Today we are going to simulate the launch of the missile, for practice sake we are just going to aim at the city of Montclair in the Medicinia mountain range."
With that the exercise began. Max and Ed both walked across the room to two seperate safes that were opened via retinal scan. Little did they know, but the codes they received were actually the launch codes instead of the test codes.
"Verify, on your folder the Code A59K2I-B126GZ"
"On Folder Code, A59K2I-B126GZ. Verified"
Inside each folder was a verification card and a metal key for their console. The Lieutenants went back to their seats and inserted their verification guards and placing their hands on pads to confirm their identity. All the while under the watchful eye of Col. McDougan.
"Identities Confirmed" Chirped the Computer.
Both officers input the coordinates of the Nutropinian city of Montclair as what they thought was a test target. They completed the entire prep sequence in four minutes. The two Lieutenants inserted their metal keys in the lock and counted down from five.

On cue they turned their keys. A rumble shook the bunker as the missile launched out of the Silo five miles away.
"WHAT THE F**K HAPPENED!" Screamed the Colonel. By then it was too late the city of Montclair was doomed.
In Montclair
Walking through the picturesque streets of Montclair, John Doolittle was enjoying the vacation with his family. While the kids were off with the resort child care program, he and his wife were searching the local shops for anything of interest. This was the first vacation John had gotten off in Two years because of his work as an engineer building the numerous silos across Nutropinia. Right, then his wife Mary walked out of a nearby shop.
"Hey Honey, I found some nice shirts I want you to try on. They are the perfect size." Mary said as she snuggled up against her husband.
"Sure babydoll, just let me check in--Hey whats that in the sky? Is that a met-----"
The Compound of Dictator Paul 'The Mad' Silver
"Dictator, There seems to have been a rather large explosion in Montclair we are investigating what has happened as we speak."
