OOC: Roman Republic, he meant they would be intercepted. Unless your moving your entire airforce to the region in support of Eternal Dragon Artitsa, FOH (Me), and Independant Macedonia airforces will have no problem shooting down your ospreys and their small fighter escort. So, just bringing them in isn't going to happen.

OCC: yeah sure, I won't bring the into the country. You happy now.
My question is what kind of fighters are you using.
Fate and Honor

OOC: I have 900 fighters in service. 600 F-14's, and 300 F-16's. While they may not be as good as the F-22, they can contend - the F-14 is still a VERY good fighter. Artitsa i'm sure has a much larger, and much more advanced airforce than both of us.

The three soldiers now plant ONC charges - 6 of them, at all locations of the sub, but primarily beside the rudder, and engine compartment. There is one on each bow plane, to prevent diving as well.

ooc: I'll play along with my own crack commandos failing to detect yours. But you should know that I myself have already placed charges in the engine-room and aircraft hangar. I did say I would scuttle the ship if it were attacked. And you do realize that the ship is running humanitarian relief operations right now, right? Maybe you don't care, but I know the Ouerzi/Teawans do . . .
Anyway, I have to go. If The eternal-dragons agree to a ceasefire with the Teawans (who have made a standing offer), I will relinquish the ship. Happily. Believe me. If The eternal-dragons reject a ceasefire with the Teawans, I will relinquish the ship. If The eternal-dragons do not respond to MY ultimatum within the specified time, I will relinquish the ship. However, if the ship is attacked AT ALL, it will be destroyed, and my nation will go on full alert in preparation for an invasion. On the other hand, I'm not sending any more troops to this theater under any circumstances.
As for the Five-Point Plan, the rejection of its provisions is expected, and all I hope for is that the belligerents can make an agreement to discuss it.

OOC: You ever going to reply to all of the attacks eternal-dragons? Including my huge assault on your capital of Puke.
The eternal-dragons
17-10-2004, 22:31
OOC: Well Macedonia first of all about the casualties on the battle on pg 8: Id say they our roughly less then your own as i can't be asked to post it in detail..This is due to the constant air support we had up to that point and overwhelming numbers.......However if you read on you noticed i withdrew all the armoured divisions and aircrafts back to the capital and various airfields when the plague outbreak first commenced...But seeing as i was in a rush i failed to include that the 2nd and 3rd division...supported by extra paladins, tanks anti-aircrafts guns etc from the patrol border army....There mission of course was to hold you and the enemy as long as they could so the huge army could retreat and split into various factions into underground parts of cities, bunkers, villages etc...And Artista i ignore your attack on the underground tunnels, buildings etc..Once again because there were several jammers located all around the country of various types and strengths including airports the lot etc..Even if i did not there would be many different buildings that were civilian and enemy alike, with the majority being civilian...So therefore you would of ended up killing civilians

IC:

The Macedonian and Northern Albanian border, where the 3rd and 2nd divisions are currently located:

18:25: The source of the Plague, the city of Shokoder

The city had seemingly become the city of the dead, as hundreds of civilians who worked within the production facilities were now ever dead or suffering a life-threatening fever that included many more gruesome systems, unlike its old predecessors. The Harrier attack within one of the tunnels was in fact a save haven for some local police officers, and thus by opening up the relatively unused tunnel to militants, exposed these poor folk to the polluted air, which would no doubt kill them seeing as there would be no cure quick enough to slow down the speed of the virus due to the fact that it had now been dispersed by the living animals that had made their way here.

However although the area was now all but deserted along the surface, many tripwires and self-controlled explosives still remained in various parts of the city, seemingly oblivious to the Peacekeeping forces that were apparently rescuing civilians.

Casualties:

325 Civilians dead of plague or attacks
55 Civilians affected by the plague
13 police officers dead
3 Injured
One of the tunnels destroyed
Several hundreds of animals dead or infected with more off the virus.

18:37
The battle was indeed become as strenuous then any battle the two divisions had seen before. They also knew that they would die, either being the plague that had now spread through the animals towards the border, or eventually being decimated by Allied forces. However despite this ongoing spiral of pain, the men fought on in a way that would have most people thinking they overwhelmed the enemy 50:1. So backed by several dozens of artillery fire, as well as numerous entrenched positions and anti-aircraft guns (including patriots), the men continued to repel the strengthened enemy. And although their patriotism was commendable, the plague or the enemy would eventually finish the resistance

Casualties:

79 dead
143 Injured in some way (The minor injuries still fight on however)
15 T-72 tanks destroyed
5 paladins destroyed
8 Anti-air positions destroyed
23 Supply trucks destroyed
34 Medicinal vans destroyed
73 stormers damaged in some way

(By the way i suspect many of your troops will be dead soon because of the plague spread....Just the same as mine ....)

Several---Minutes late--Gas attack on weakened divisions.

As the soldiers valiantly fought on, they appeared to be cheering in harmony as the enemy's Infantry divisions appeared to be withdrawn because of the ferocity of the casualties they were suffering. However they were soon mistaken, as while they were continuing to organize the ranks of the war-torn army, they began to watch in horror as a reasonable sized air force began to make its way over to the area, an obvious intention of repelling the resistance. Seeing their positions in danger the men on the fortiffiyed AA -batteries began to open fire on the enemy aircrafts, hoping that it would stop the advancing air force. The last of the patriots in the country also engaged artista's air force within the air, and they knew that with there massive array of air defences, that there was no way that they would allow the air force come any closer and release its harmful canisters of death.

Further 34 dead,
75 personal Injured
Results are still somewhat unclear due to the circumstances of the gas attack.

----Reinforced attack on the 2nd and 3rd divisions troops. 18:50

The ravaged attack was expected once again as the valiant souls thought on with increasing difficulty against the enemies forces. The multiple-attacks on the positions were however beginning to have an affect on the troops, as many were fighting non-stop without any chance of a break, and sooner or later the men would die of fatigue due to know known source of imminent reinforcements. But still the generals would spur the troops on, knowing that the plague would eventually see too the end of both countries troops. And however insane it may seemed, many of the forces still respected the leader and would by all means fight to every last man, even if it meant destroying the whole country to repel the invaders.

And hence this famous battalion would eventually become history, and a motto would always be painted on this fiery patriotic nation:

"If Millions die just to kill one enemy....Then so be it.................................."

Casualties:

A further 55 dead..and many more expect due to the plague and the enemy
150 injured, many still however thought on injured they may be...
5 T-72 tanks destroyed
7 Stormers destroyed
3 Anti-air destroyed
2 Supply trucks destroyed
9 Medical vans destroyed
(Don't worry the resistance is soon fading...I wonder which shall win first though.....The plague or the enemy.. :D )

The intelligence Headquarters, location Unknown:

The supercomputer began to process the following image upon one of the monitors...
Message-----Incoming----From----Blaze Bloodlust-----

The cleric screamed in a fit of rage, knocking off a few documents of the table in the process, his obvious stress noticeable by his tired and weakened physical state. After this moment of madness the cleric regained composure, before he once again scanned the next message pictured across one of the remaining government’s supercomputers.

Hmm.....You stupid Fool......I leave you in charge of part of my empire for one minute and even supply you with all that you inquired for....And this is how you repay me.....With a Petty war...and a crippled country once again....Well that is it..from now on you are kindly no longer needed......

With that final message the Cleric sighed, completely obliviously to the fact that the Brown-beared man and most trustful general Jecht Ackbar, had now a rather shiny silenced berretta pointed directly at the back of his head. A brief interval of silence then consumed the room, as the Cleric had finally discovered that when it was meant, "he was no longer needed", Blaze was great literately correct. His final words from his well-educated Russian tone was

"General.....You were working for blaze all along"

A solitary nod then followed as the trigger was squeezed, sending a bullet viciously into the back of the Clerics head, spewing blood everywhere as the motionless body now dropped to the ground. Upon this action the man known as Jecht began to address the group, who of course knew all along about this.

"Leaders....As you know our father Blaze Bloodlust...Has ordered us to stop this pathetic attempt of our goal....And therefore produce diplomatic terms for achieving the goal"

With that the members collectively nodded, as they began work write away on an memo to the enemies and allies alike

Encrypted Memo towards Vas Pokhoronim:

Upon your request...We shall not I repeat not agree to these terms....However seeing that we are in a strong position in capturing their flagship we have decided it would be fitting to end this pointless war and seek more diplomatic means....

Another Message was sent to the more friendly enemy of Ouerziland :

"We would like to Present this message for you to refer to your allies.....We would like to set up a meeting of ending hostilities and return of your flagship....However we first require some protection by the withdrawal with the majority of your forces and seeing as the plague is deadly....We would like to propose an meeting within a location of our choice....No military is allowed other then the leaders of all the Groups...."

Elsewhere on the Capital of Puke: (It will take ages for your to come to the capital as the coastline is quite far away)

The Insurgents inside the city were amazed by the audacity to try and capture the city, seeing that the Majority of the forces had emerged there, and it would turn into a bloodbath for the enemy if they engaged with their aircrafts.

Seeing the chance to surprise the and engage the enemy, the generals in charge decided to give ground clearance for the launch of Several dozens of unused Hind-D's within the war among the apaches and other various aircrafts. They knew that if they took out the relatively weak apaches the enemy would have no way of entering the city without engaging the armoured columns, and various ground units located within the city. The remaining squadrons recovered from the border patrol army also began to take off, (3 squadron of M.IG.29, and 4 squadron of F-16). The anti aircrafts guns also located within the city were also set up in full force, by the small amount of troops who had some sort of protection from the plague. These people of course had the only protection from the plague available at the time, and of course would help repel the initial attack.

--Several Minutes later---

The first defence of the city was initiated; as the remaining Allied air force now engaged the various Apaches and other aircrafts attacking the city, with cruise missiles alike. However any aircraft that was not with the allied's own, were also met with various showers of Anti-Air gunfire from the various positions of the protected troops.

During this time the true patriotism of the forces were noticed, as many of the people who were secluded from the underground tunnels due to their infected status were destined to protect their nation by manning any Anti-air craft guns or positions available to fire their R.P.G weapons at the apaches.

Truly this battle was no longer about the strength of the forces, but rather this battle would now be battled by the skill of the units who engaged each other.

The 1st Infantry, thankfully had their NBC suits on due to the warning issued by their allie pretaining to chemical weapon usage. So few were infected, but those that were met a most gruesome death. Orlando Cid looked over the carnage, "Purge the land, commence purification now."

As the Infantry and Armored elements pulled back to the safety of the ruins of Vrutok the air units left in reserve prepared for their mission, Terra Exterminatus, as it was called. The engines whine could be heard from far away as the the jets streaked in low and dropped Napalm all over the area to purge the Plague and the chemicals.

Medics tried to look after the infected but it was no hope, they were goners. The battle had ceased for the most part as the Macedonians were happy to let their foes die of the plague while they thought of their next course of action

Results so far:
47 dead or dieing
12 wounded
4 "Wolves" killed
5 Leopards destroyed
2 Leopards damaged
28 Weasels destroyed or disabled
13 Weasels Damaged
36 Military supply trucks destroyed
7 SU-33s shot down
5 MI-24Vs shot down.

The Patriot missiles proved ineffective against the Pallas Athena ECM package, which absolutely tore the guidance to shreads. The other Stealth features of the Su-53's completely protected them. The manual AA on the ground had a hard time finding targets in the Su-53's and QF-27's thanks to their blurred edges and reflective skin, making them hard to pick out against the sky. Their Mach 2.5 Speed also played a great role in neutralizing the AA.

Casualties:
4 QF-27's damaged.

Hind-D Attack:

Every second soldier in the Artitsan Armed forces carries an Igla-S SAM, easily capable of downing a Hind in one shot. But, even so, 36 Su-53's were scrambled to deal with the air threat. As they came within 200 miles of the enemy aircraft (the MiG-29's and Hind-D's) each released 6 AA-17 AAM's. They sped towards their targets at Mach 3, using IR, Passive and Bi-Static Radar, and occasionally switching to a form of Optical Guidance to maintain lock on the enemy aircraft. If the missiles overshoot their targets, they could effectively use their thrust vectoring and AAW wings to perform over 15G turns. As the 36 Su-53's closed, they came within range of the 50m AA-18 QAAM, even more maneuverable and faster then the AA-17. 8 AA-18's were launched at the enemy aircraft... or what remained of them.

(OOC: And how did you know there primitive....And all your super uber tech is starting to get on my nerves...As that was the reason for axis-nova withdrawing so if you continue to state that then i will adequately ask you to withdraw from the rp unless you tone it down a little bit....)

The 2nd and 3rd divisions battleground:

The roar of the devastated divisions was heard for several miles upon the temporary withdrawal of the enemy. However the plagued victims were not so lucky,as many were becoming infected daily and soon after dieing a gruesome death. And although the medical anti-biotics present on the medical vans slowed the disease, they knew that their time was running short.

But knowing this they still defend the land as intense as ever, hoping that Roman Republic forces arrive in time to save them from their gruesome deaths. As supplies would only relieve them a further few months if they lived that long, and the medical equipment and forces were beginning to dwindle to almost 3/4 maybe less then what it was before the battle.

Casualties:

23 dead
A reported number of over 100 More infected badly with the plague
3- T-72 tanks destroyed
8 Stormer destroyed
6 Supply trucks destroyed
3 Paladins Inoperable

---A few hours later----

The plague was now becoming more contagious, and it was now widely believed that it had spread across the borders and maybe within the outskirts of some of the Macedonian cities.

However despite this the divisions had to prepare for another continued attack, designed to stop the plague and finish the resistance. But to their dismay it seemed to late, as the plague had already moved targets and instead of ending the resistance was met with any spare Anti-air emplacements available. Any planes that managed to drop their deposit had disastrous effects on the enemies’ supply and armoured vehicles currently guarding the infantry divisions.

The casualties now stood at (Including your attack Artista)

13 Anti-air emplacements Inoperable
79 men killed
12 Injured
7 T-72 destroyed
17 Stormer destroyed
15 supply trucks destroyed
7 Medical trucks destroyed

Many more would follow however..

OOC: First il answer macadonia..The plague started in two places..The city and the river...So therefore considering animals and people alike gather water from it in both countries...It would spread in multiple areas of the countries as it is infected within them...Etc ..And also when you napalm bomb you can't kill all the animals everywhere and bomb everything so therefore by now your country should be infected..my whole country and bits of Southern Albania...

Now Artista...That seems fine one turn or so..And in future would you please post if your invading the capital thanks....As for your tech i am basically setting double standards if i let you in and no-one else..And also just like you built yours it is possible to build Axis nova stuff if the right amount of money is funding into researching into it...

--- The Independant Macedonian Line ---

The creak of steel treads, the near-silent hum of the R-120 Light Reconaissance vehicle. The crunching sound of boots as NBC protected soldiers of the 27th Airborne Division marched towards the front. Overhead, the massive Ar-3 Command Zeppelin and two Ar-9 Air Superiority Zeppelins remained on station, watching and directing their troops over the battle.

A coded transmission was sent to the Macedonian commander.

"Independant Macedonia, the 27th Airborne Division has arrived on the battlefield. The 15th Armoured is equipped with NBC protection, as is their crew. They will be landing soon and executing a blitzkrieg to reach us."

Even as the transmission finished, the first of the recon units came into sight of the Independant Macedonian forces.
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/eagle/images/eagle8.jpg

Followed by over 200 more, the 135th Airborne Recon had arrived at long last, the foreshadowing of the heavier reinforcements soon to arrive. The near-silent vehicles coasted towards them, slowing their pace significantly. The side doors of the units opened and a soldier jumped out of each one, immediately deploying 270 capable infantry. The vehicles began to disperse, and one soldier stepped forward, a grim look on his face and the insignia of a Tenarius Lt. Colonel on his arm.

"Who's in charge here?!" he shouted to a nearby soldier. The other members of the 136th Airborne Foot Recon also began to split up to help restore the line, divided into 9 seperate platoons.

--- 5km East of the Independant Macedonian Line ---

The 44th Airborne Armoured Battalion rumbled slowly, followed by the the countless rifle platoons that would help restore the line. Even further back, 10 groups of five 155mm Howitzers was being set up. The RS-56 Ultralight Howitzer was possibly one of the best Field Howitzers designed to the known world. Retaining the firepower of the average 155mm shell, it was extremely light due to revolutionary designs in the structure and firing system.

--- 15km South of Lezhë ---

The transports slowly took turns depositing their cargo while Helicopters flew further inland, placing artillery and infantry positions. The 15th Armoured and 38th Airborne had arrived, and they were ready to do business. Soon after, the vehicles began their armoured blitzkrieg east towards Macedonia, supported by elements of the 38th Airborne Division.

OOC: Well, I figure travelling at about 30MPH from the coast to the capital would take about a NS day. Remember, it was all mechanized. Also, if you check I never sent my apaches to attack your capital - they only follow the mechanized force to provide close air support. I'll still give you a few kills on them though. Also, how do you get that the AH-64 Apache is weak? It is a state-of-the-art chopper, only really surpassed (but matched by some) by a Cobra which is only in the prototype phase.

IC:

19:26 Hours: Outside Capital City of Puke

A couple dozen AH-64 Apaches flying perimeter circles around the Imperial Forces were engaged by enemy Hinds and fighters. The Apaches were able to combat the Hinds, but a helicopter is no match for a fighter jet. Several were shot down, and several more had to make a forced landing.

The crewman thought fast. Several of them hoisting the FIM-92A Stingers ,which had been airdropped to them earlier, onto their shoulders and sending the Air-to-Ground missiles whizzing toward the attacking enemy aircraft. At first only a few whirred into the sky and toward their targets. Within a minute the crewman had cracked open many of the boxes, and sent stinger after stinger missile at the enemy aircraft. Mounted MG's on the tanks, and the Bradley 30MM auto-cannon poured rounds into the enemy helicopters.

The local field commander climbed into his command vehicle and called over the radio, "Command and Control, we are under heavy air attack from the enemy. Get us some damn air support! We have a problem!"

"Roger that, scrambling as many as we can."

600 F-14's, and 200 F-16's screeched off of the carrier decks and ally airbases where they were stationed and roared toward to combat zone.

"We have many fighters on the way ETA: 3 Minutes, good luck."

"Roger that Command and Control."

With that the commander poked his head out of his command vehicle to observe the enemy aircraft. He ordered the resuming of barrages for hours on end as previous, but the cessation of the barrage will be only when all of the rockets are spent. The barrage could last up too 4 or 5 hours at that rate.

As he was giving that order the roar of jets on the horizon could be heard. The Imperial Fighters had arrived, and before he could see a single one in the night sky bright red streaks flew across the sky as Imperial Fighters unleashed sidewinders against the enemy fighters and helicopters.

The barrage started once more, and showed no signs of stopping.

Miles back at Command and Control General Decius gave the order to unleash a massive cruise missile barrage at all identified enemy airports/airbases. Priority #1 was to destroy every hangar, #2 was to ruin their runways. The cruise missiles fired off and flew to their targets.

Minutes later with the pinpoint accuracy they were famous for, struck into the points that were designated in various airports/airbases.

Several of the nuclear submarines sent to the region had ballistic missiles outfited with a 20,000lb conventional explosive warhead. The six of them were armed and lobbed toward the capital city of Puke. The city was divided by targeters into six section, and each section would have a massive conventional bomb strike it. No doubt huge buildings would crumble, and cover the streets under tons of concrete. These missiles smashed into the city as the MLRS barrage continued. No mercy was to be shown after the use of biological weapons.

Casualities:

8 AH-64 Apaches completely destroyed
13 AH-64 Apaches unusable until repaired
5 AH-64 Apaches slightly damaged
Several crewman killed by enemy fighter strikes
Dozens of crewman wounded by enemy fighter strikes
4 Damaged M1A2 Abrams

OOC:Their are no major rivers that start in Albania and cross into Macedonia, so your arguement is mute and the Purification proved succesful until otherwise proved wrong.

"Independant Macedonia, the 27th Airborne Division has arrived on the battlefield. The 15th Armoured is equipped with NBC protection, as is their crew. They will be landing soon and executing a blitzkrieg to reach us."

Even as the transmission finished, the first of the recon units came into sight of the Independant Macedonian forces.
http://www.army-technology.com/proj...ages/eagle8.jpg

The Leader of the newly arrived 1st Stosstrupen, Field Commander Wilhelm Brockdorff came forward, putting his hand forward. "I am friend of the republic, we just arrived from the capital and were getting a briefing when you arrived, sir."
Picture of Wolves (http://www.nightmarearmorstudios.com/deepeyes.jpg)

Two wolves that had been scouting forward of the main force came forward, "Commander the enemy's organization is in decay, but they remain standing and armed, their forces still on guard." Brockdorff turned back to the Tenarius Lt. Colonel, "Thank you Wolves, you're dismissed. So as you can see the time to strike seems to be now, unless you got a plan to soften them up before we move."
Troops started to mount their vehicles including the new Merkava MK4s of the Stosstrupen. The national flag of Macedonia and the Battle Standard with the Macedonian Lion on it were raised and the color guard moved to the front of the marching infantry.
"We are ready to go when you are Colonel."

He nodded, "The Division has deployed a battery of RS-56 155mm Ultralight Howitzer Systems about 5 or 6 kilometeres back. At a sustained fire rate they should be able to get a couple volleys in on the enemy forces before we arrive." He told them.

Reaching up, he actived the radio built into his helmet. "All units this is Lt. Colonel Hakura. Regroup with the R-120's and prepare for an attack. Remember boys, this isn't a wargame, its the real thing, we're going into battle and we're going to face casualties on all sides. You're the best of the best, I know you can handle yourselves...now move it!"

He unslung his R-36 Assault Rifle and checked it, nodding in approval. Gesturing to a nearby R-120, it slowly drove up and opened the side door for him. "Armoured Reinforcements will be here in about half an hour, if we're lucky there won't be much they need to do. Shall I call down the artillery Commander?"

Brockdorff looked in the direction of the enemy, "Why not, it couldn't hurt, could it?" Brockdorff knew the pun he had used and skillfully grabbed onto one of the Leopards, "I want you guys to help out the Tenarius boys by shooting your long range missles at the enemy." The order went through and all the leopards started loading the missles into the barrels of their cannons.
"OPEN FIRE!" He yelled as all at once the Leopards kicked up dust, and smoke at the missles deafened the sky tearing towards their targets. "Your turn now Lt.Colonel."

--- The Independant Macedonian Line ---

Hakura nodded approvingly and activated his radio again. "55th Howitzer Battery, this is Lt. Colonel Hakura requesting a sustained rate of fire on the enemy positions."

--- 6 Kilometers East of the Line ---

Major Daoi nodded and activated his own radio, this time set to the 55th Howitzer Battery. "All units this is Major Daoi, prepare for sustained volley on the enemy lines. Remember your training and you will do fine, begin firing now!"

At first squads position, Staff Sergeant Uyuki grinned, her Section was going to start the fireworks. Upon recieving the order, she removed the safety and slammed the trigger for the Howitzer. In rapid succession, her howitzer and the four others detonated. Five seconds later the Second Section fired, then five seconds later the Third Section fired. This pattern continued, helping retain a sustained rate of fire.

--- The Independant Macedonian Line ---

The rumble of Howitzer fire could be heard from behind. Just mere seconds later explosions could be heard ahead as the 155mm HE shells landed. Hakura nodded to the Commander and jumped into his personal R-120. "We're all ready Commander, the 135th Airborne Recon is going to rock and roll!"

-At the Macedonian Defense Line- 1120 hours
"FORWARD!" Brockdorff yelled as he climbed up onto his Merkava, "This is the day that decides who lives and who dies, we can't let those murders get away with the deaths of our mothers, brothers, sisters, and friends. This is where we draw the line, this is where we show them who they messed with!" He said over the radio lines to his men as they moved forward in their APCs and heavy tanks.

-Further down the line- 1121 hours
"You heard the man, lets go!" Commander Cid taunted as he drove his own 11th Mechanized forward. Shots rang out as the tanks came into extreme range.

The Wolves were going back to the runway at Skopje in order to mount up for their own assault, the 501st with them. They were to mount up on their C-130 Transport and prepare for their mission.

Lieutenant Colonel Hakura pulled the heavy door of the vehicle closed. "All units, commence attack, remember to avoid armoured units and supposed patches of heavy weapons. Commence the operation!" He shouted. Across the line, platoons of 5 vehicles each rumbled to life and rushed towards the smoking line that had recently become a target for major artillery strikes.

The light and nimble R-120's dashed ahead of the APC's and Tanks, weaving through the terrain effortlessly. Upon reaching extreme range for anti-vehicular fire, the turret's smoke grenade launchers activated. 25mm IR-blocking smoke grenades launched, covering the approach of the relatively unarmoured Light Reconnaissance Vehicles.

Major Klznyfsky received the transmission with some relief, though his face remained as perfectly impassive as ever.
"Bring me Captain Linkholme," he told a nearby sergeant.
When the Ouerzi officer had been guided up to the bridge, Klznyfsky addressed him.
"It appears that the Albanians are willing to negotiate, although not necessarily on the terms our Foreign Ministry prepared. Still, this is good. I am instructed to inform you that a conference center will be set up in Nrsk-Novsk soon, and in the meantime the Security Council hopes that your government can pressure the Macedonians and Artitsans into some semblance of civilized behavior. They are the chief holdouts now.
"More to the point. Under the present circumstances, the Security Council sees no further gain to be had from the possession of this ship, and so I am returning it to your command. Our troops are authorized to remain in the theater if needed for humanitarian purposes." He cracked his neck. "Otherwise, we are going home." He turned to the noncom standing at his shoulder. "Sergeant, run down the colors."

IC:City of Bajram curri:
Upon hearing news of the massive battle that had ranged around the capital gates, they had received orders to dispatch the vast amount of supplies to the insurgents within the capital, as it appeared the battle would be a long-lasting and blooded match. So without the slightest objection the people located within the vast underground sections began a daunting mission of transporting the supplies within the direction of the city. They knew that it was very unlikely for them to be discovered and also if they supplied them with food and weapons, they would no doubt drive back the invaders.
(They equipped with protection the division below)
Seeing that the divisions were also under severe pressure of crumbling to the enemy attacks, they decided to send their most powerful division to aid them within their fight. These of course were the elite guard of the country, and they were often renowned as only a legend. And although the division only numbered a thousand at most, the division was fully equipped with the updated version of the very strong samurai style breastplate, hidden under the casual clothes they wore of infiltrating countries. They also tended to be equipped with: Silencers, Ak47's, various types of grenades, lock picks, fake id's, fake passports, various types of money etc. And on top of this they were proficient in various things, such as: Bomb making, Assassination, body guarding etc, and hence this is why many people often perceived this tough unit as only a legend. Upon giving details of their mission they were split into groups of no more of 4, and from then on they would split their various ways and eventually meet up within the cities capital.

So once the unit was prepared, the first few groups of four began to make their way to the Northern Macedonian border, their ids in hand. They indeed would end the war one way or another, even if it meant pursuing military means.

After they were on their way another few groups began to make there way southeast, to the river that would most likely be the only route of striking the capital with naval forces. From there they would bring along with them dozens of mines and mine the river, and from when the enemy came they would proceed to initiate the next stage of this cunning plan.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Small groups of Elite guard of Northern Albania, send to northern Macedonian border, more expected to enter through a different area.

Another squad is sent in protection of the river leading towards the capital

Supply’s of weapons and aid sent to the insurgents within the capital.

`Battle at the capital:

The battle was as bloodily as it was fierce, and the seemingly early victory by the Hind's had indeed completed their mission of spurring on the reinforced troops. Seeing the chance of taking the iniative, the Squadrons of Mig's 29's and F-16's proceeded to leave the apaches and go after the more dangerous targets, mainly the enemies stinger's and armoured divisions that were firing on the allied position. Thus they hoped by crippling the ground forces, the Hind's could then try an more audacious attack on the enemy's supply trucks to the tanks and various other armoured divisions. Whilst this was going on the artillery positions (Paladins) placed within the city began to open its account of the battle, with a tremendous amount of cannon fire upon the enemies main divisions located within the head of the van.

Casualties:

3-Stormer's damaged but operable
4 Hind's shot down
1 hind inoperable
2 F-16's heavily damaged
4 Mildly damaged.
4 Mig'29s inoperable
14 men dead
1 Anti-air gun destroyed
17% Of all buildings damaged some how
Power still intact for most of region
Roads still operable

-----A few minutes later-----

Despite the somewhat meaningless advantage they had in battle, the enemy still survived the barrage. However the enemy’s advantage was somewhat aided by the sudden arrival of a large congregated force of fighters pick up on the few remaining radar still intact from the bombardment. Upon seeing this, the remaining fighters withdrew from the exposed ground targets and began to engage the overwhelming force stride for stride. And despite the relatively new design of the F-16, the Mig-29 seemed to be the king at close range combat, often even dodging several missiles from the aircraft before engaging with its own. The Hind's though were not so lucky, as the sheer firepower of the fighters willed them to withdraw from the battlefield, although this did not stop them from releasing their missiles on the enemy ground forces as they left towards the airports. Also seeing that the fighters were pre-occupied the vast amount of Anti-aircraft guns engaged the fighters, and although they would destroy the Majority of the Fighters, there was no doubt they would of shot down some have there own. But that was all a price to pay if they could avoid having the airports and airbases hit.

Despite this new force of F.O.H, the artillery continued to attack the nearby armoured divisions, whilst also picking off any enemy troops stupid to come into the range of R.P.G and sniper attacks from the various men positioned along the rooftop.

Casualties:

23 men Heavily injured
6 Killed
6 Anti-air guns destroyed
22 Anti-air guns suffering some damage
6 Stormer destroyed
11 Stormers damaged
33% Of all buildings damaged
Power still in 3/4 of the city
Some roads inoperable but majority still intact
------Minutes later--------
The sea route to the capital:

The Elite guard waited impatiently from the safety of the underground location, knowing that the subs had been spotted up ahead and would soon come close enough for the mines to do their job. They off course new much damage would be done to the subs due to the fact it was a rather compact space, so they would be closely together and therefore difficult to limit damage control.

So after another few minutes the four tactical subs began to come into view of the raiding party, as they waited annoyingly for the mines to do their work.

Soon after, the mines supposedly hit the subs, as a series of explosions rocked the water, sending ripples of water all over the surrounding area with furious intensity. Seeing as this was their chance, the few dozen of elite guard swiftly make their way to the area of the sub and let loose the various amounts of dynamite type material they were holding, hoping that this would stop the subs dead in their tracks.

Just as a side note, any of your elites would be shot on sight because we won't let anyone across the border. So just make them infiltrate by sneaking in rather than fake IDs. So go ahead and recognize the attack as i don't see how that has anything to do with the plague or the elites.

The president issued a warning to the cities near the border for vaccines to be issued and for all people to stay inside, and await fresh water from the other areas of the nation. Mean while the rivers were being damed, as several smaller towns were turned into ghost towns by the disease, warning the larger population centers of what was to come.

Your the only n00b that has complained because your the only n00b that tries to shoot down a mach 2.5 aircraft with handcranked AA guns. You use outdated weaponry that do not shoot ANYTHING down in modern time. The Patriot Missile has a higher downed friendly tally then downed enemies. You expect me to give you high casualties to a system that has a hard time downing 1960's weapons against my 5th Generation Stealth Fighter? Not even. VX gas is the most powerful chemical weapon in the world. I dropped several tons of the stuff on your clustered infantry divisions who were unprepared. Did you know VX Gas kills within 3 minutes? Did you also know that Teleportation and Gentically Modified Monsters do not exist? When you have such massive engagements like we have had, 50 people don't die... tried 5000. Talking to many people, they figure your casualties from the VX strike should be somewhere around 2 to 3 quarters of your infantry dead, maybe more.

EDIT: I figured I should add this: Do you know how many AA guns were in baghdad? A shitload. Do you know how many Aircraft the US lost to AA fire? Not very many, considering the planes they used were slower, and more visible.

A victory is not having to fight at all. If I wanted a bloody RP, then I'd goto one of my 8 other ones on the go. This RP is to prevent Macedonia from falling. I gave up on Detailed RPing in this thread when a couple newer nations came along. Im not going to name names.
[All Out of Character, Obviously]
You might not "name names," but I will. You have done nothing in this thread but describe massive hardware and quote ridiculous numbers while sneering, bullying, and whining at anyone who tried to do or say anything you didn't like. Do you think new players learn by having contempt vomited upon them? By being aggressively challenged in everything that they attempt? I stand by my comment. You are a bully. In an imaginary world. On the internet. Man to man, I recommend you do some hard thinking about that.
In the future, I will thank you to send any communications you wish to have with by telegram, as I do not wish to further clutter up this thread with our antagonism.

ooc: I was going to wait for the fallout from my throwing down the gauntlet before posting anything new, but it appears I've either killed the thread, or everybody else is waiting for the fallout, too. Or busy. Anyway, here goes.

Nrsk-Novsk
"Picturesque" or "quaint" is how the tour books would describe the capital city of Vas Pokhoronim, nestled in its stunning mountains, if not for the toll exacted upon it by decades of ham-handed central economic planning. Along the routes travelled by the visiting diplomats, the streets and buildings are clean and well-lit, with innovative modernistic architecture for public buildings, while the houses are small, ornate, and freshly-painted in bright and often jarring color schemes. Beyond this, however, is a grim city of massive concrete housing projects and crumbling heavy industries.
The Conference itself, however, is held at the Great Hall of the Sovereign People, a vast and genuinely impressive structure. The delegates are greeted by the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Patriot-General Vkhled Kznynsky, a tall, slim, silver-haired man with a touch of palsy and a tendency to ramble incoherently, but he is shuffled off by his handlers quickly and the Conference opens for business.
Gzvyad Mstslau, representing Vas Pokhoronim speaks:
"Welcome, all of you, and thank you for coming: you have done the cause of human justice and peace a great service simply by your attendance. On the table are two porposals, one from Independent Macedonia, the other from the Empire of Fate and Honor:"

Macedonian Terms
"1. Dismantling of all military and paramilitary force of Northern Albania
"2. Either Return of Northern Albania to Smaller Albania, dividing up of the land of Northern Albania with all the collalition, or a major change in the government of Northern Albania
"3. Inspections of Albania to continue for an indefinite time
"4. Return of all land that the Northern Albanians captured and reperations to be made for the damage to the familys and nation."

Imperial Terms
"1. Northern Albania will remain a sovereign state as it was prior to the war.
"2. Northern Albania shall pay reparations for the attacks against Independent Macedonia.
"3. Coalition will assist Northern Albania in rebuilding efforts.
"4. Coalition will provide all necessary foreign aid to Northern Albania.
"5. Independent Macedonia shall hand over all suspects to Northern Albania.
"6. Northern Albania shall sign a non-agression treaty, and be bound not to make war on any nation in the future except in defense."

Northern Albanian Terms, with Reference to Imperial Peace Plan
"1. We agree to that; however, we wish that we are allowed to possess the city that was housing terrorists as we still fear our security...
"2. We will pay some sort of bill towards the families of the ones lost...However we shall not pay anything else...As we felt the attack was justified...
"3. You may assist in the rebuilding efforts through Trade and monetary aid...However seeing that you may tamper with our country we shall not allow anyone who is represented the coalition enter in any way
"4. We.stated in the above point...However a reparation we feel will also be considered fair...
"5. We also agree to that....
"6. We shall sign not agree to this....However we would like to state that the people responsible for the chemical attacks have been satisfactorily dealt with...We also will not sign this as we expect the Macedonians to continue to handle are terrorists with no firm hand..."

The Democratic Republic of Vas Pokhoronim endorses the following positions:
"1. Northern Albania will remain a sovereign state.
"2. All borders will be restored as per the status quo ante bellum.
"3. Reparations delivered to Northern Albania will remain under the control of the creditor-states, so as to be certain that the moneys are not misused.
"4. Northern Albania will agree to dismatle its WMD programs, subject to regular and unhindered international inspections.
"5. Northern Albania must surrender its war criminals to an international tribunal.
"6. Northern Albania will pay reparations to Independent Macedonia.
"7. An extradition and nonaggression treaty will be signed between Northern Albania and Independent Macedonia. It is the opinion of the Sovereign People that such a treaty is the only means of providing a diplomatic mechanism for the resolution of future conflicts between the two states."
Independent Macedonia

The three generals representing Macedonia stood up, "We agree with all the Vas Pokhoronim terms put on the table, and find them in mutual interest for all nations here. Our vote has been cast for it." They sat back down, waiting for the others to vote on the subjects or propose changes.

OOC: Sorry everyone iv'e had some rl stuff to tend two and therefore this post won't be long...Well basically seeing as I’m to busy to post in detail..Lets just say the battle between the 2nd and 3rd divisions is exhausted in supplies and in numbers and when you retreated the very few alive our now in the nearest city where they are being administered stuff to combat the plague ,wounds etc...So let's advance from the meeting where the leader, unknown two you i think is there discussing terms....And no more pickering...If there is any just do it tg k..And seeing as i'm very busy expect short posts and periods without posting..

IC:

The Brown bearded man known as Jecht continued to listen methodically to the terms being discussed, an aura of cockiness present within his smirking facial expression. And as Macedonia finished speaking, he responded in his usual blunt and cold tone

" Well ....You would ....." He paused before he spoke once again.

" As for our terms....We will continue to stick to our guns as they say...And we will not change that until you provide us with enough reason to not consider you a terrorist-loving country....And that you our also dealing with the problem.."

With that remark he remained silence whilst withdrawing a fat cigar in the process, as he waited for an response.

Minister Mstslau's jaw muscles tensed.
"Jecht," he said quietly, "I do not think you will get a better deal. Your security arguments are invalidated by the Extradition Clause, and man to man, considering what has happened to your country already, I do not see how a few terrorists could do much worse than the Coalition armies have. And your own.
"I ask you to reconsider."

As the Imperial Delegate began to speak to the officials of other nations around the table, his aid walked to his side and whispered words indecipherable to the those surrounding the table. He politely stood up, tilted his head towards the foreign delegates, and stepped away from the chair. The door from the conference room opened and a tall, slender, mile-mannered man with a neatly trimmed beard and romanesque hair style walked into the room. He smoothed out his extravagent Imperial robe, and smiled at the foreign delegates in the room. He patted the Imperial delegate on the back, smiled at him, and took a seat.

"Good evening friends and foes, my name is Vibius Augustus. Thankyou Vkhled Kznynsky, Mr. Gzvyad Mstslau for having me here." He smiled warmly at them "Your kindness is great, and I can tell through various actions that your government is trying to do the right thing. Your magnanimous proposals for peace are acceptable on our behalf." He set a dark stare upon the man known as Jecht "Although, I do find the stubbornness of some parties involved distasteful. I disdain their disregard for human life, and barbaric practices of war and terror." His staring at Jecht became deeper "How do you neglect people, for such a corrupt cause? These terms are charitable - how can you reject them? Are you that much of an uncultured, uncivilized brute that you cannot see your people dying and suffering!? Are you too foolish to see your soldiers dying!? Are you too dense to see your land being destroyed!? Think sense, friend ... sense!"

"As for now, my legions will remain in Northern Albania. Should you sensibly agree to the merciful terms they will be recalled. In addition, for their contributions, I recognize Vas Pokhoronim a friend of the Empire. I hope that Vas Pokhoronim will treat us as friends, and not with contempt."

He looked around the table with a calculating grin smeared across his face and awaited the foreign delegates' responses.

Minister Mstslau looked momentarily surprised at the facility with which his name had been pronounced by Vibius Augustus. But he quickly recovered.
"I believe debate is effectively over, and I may speak for this assembly when I say that if the proposal on the table is not consented to unamimously then it, or something more prejudicial to the government of Northern Albania, will be enforced militarily."
He looked again to General Ackbar.
"We came to your assistance in the cause of socialism and peace. Do you now spit upon our offered friendship?"
Fate and Honor
22-10-2004, 00:07
OOC: General Ackbar is who? Also, check my above post - do you accept to being a friend of the Empire as mutual allies? Vibius Augustus is the Emperor if you didn't realize it. I'm sure I never mentioned the name of the leader is any of my post, so there you have it.

Upon Vibius Augustus remarks and Minister Mstslau's advice Jecht chuckled faintly, before taking a brief pull of his cigar and proceeding to speak once again in his usual calm tone.

" Well what would do you think we should do?" He pauses once more before speaking once again

"Well if we had not have done this strike then 40thousand would look like nothing compared to what they have done in the past....And as for your biological practice crap....." He gazes into Vibius eyes before delivering a more sinister message

"We have dealt with the fool who chose to use these weapons.....However when a country invades another what are we supposed to do?....And I thought you had an anti-terror agenda....And yet you have a terrorist nation as an ally.."

He then paused in his usual habit, his face somewhat more serious then normal

"Don't tell me about soldiers son....They knew what they were in for....And don't think a few years of besiege will lower there morale........So once again I state we shall not agree with helping the Macedonian terrorist cause reek havoc upon our country...."

He then turned to Minister Mstsla, as he puffed his cigar once again

"We respect you....However we shall not agree two terms which shall result in the terrorists becoming live again"

22-10-2004, 00:52
Vibius Augustus was became visibly irritated after Jecht spoke, and once again focused back onto Jecht.

"We have already made it abundantly clear that we will ensure Independant Macedon takes care of the terrorist problem, and extradites all suspects to Northern Albania. Is that not getting through to you? That seems to be the demand you must have, and we have already granted it. So please do explain to me Mr. Jecht, what the dilemma is we have here?" Vibius adjusted himself more comfortably in his chair "I also do not welcome the calling of my ally, Independant Macedonia, a terrorist state. They most certainly are not, as if they were - they would not be my ally."

He shakes his head slowly, an obvious sign of the infamous generals temper boiling, as he took another long pull of the cigar before speaking

"If I am not mistaken...That we have to return parts of the Macedonian border area that we captured during the Pre-emptive strike upon the city.....And if I am again mistaken that would mean withdrawal of armed forces from the area.....And if that is the case we our open to a attack by the various terrorists who inhabit there....And they are not a terrorist nation...?" He chuckles sarcastically before speaking once more.

"Then why does Intel report them welcoming members of the previous oppressive regime.....?"

He then smokes the cigar once more as he awaits an answer

"Do you think you can just keep the cities of a nation you wrongfully took them from? Not to mention have thrown terrorist attacks against and killed countless numbers of their civilians? That is completely wrong, and it cannot stand. The Coalition will ensure that Independant Macedonia takes care of the terrorist problems, and I will even station my first legion to assist in the removal of the terrorist. You must, however, accept these terms of peace before we can bring prosperity rather than death and destruction to the region!"

Vibius Augustus was obviously on his last nerves after giving this final proposition.

Admiral Putamov and General Frenzan sat at the table, observing the little contained arguement. Seemed the Albanian was getting upset. The Artitsans were getting tired of this. General Frenzan stood up, and signalled for both sides to quiet down.
"Gentlemen. I have a solution. A solution that is already being executed. The Northern Albanians speak of Terrorists. We are currently following up with those leads, and have dispatched four SARTF teams to Macedonia to locate and apprehend or liquidate the terrorists. We understand that such people are an aggitation to the Albanian People. Any problems with this?"

Sure enough, deep in the mountainous area's of Macedonia, near the Serbian border, UAV's were floating about, relaying formation back to SARTF COMSAT ops. The ground teams continued moving through the frozen forests and mountains, tracking and stalking. They were getting closer, but there was no real way to tell where they were. Having listened to the Albanians, the SARTF teams had a general Idea of where these terrorists were operating. They would find them... soon enough.

As Vibius speech was coming to an end, Jecht replied almost immediately his voice somewhat now angered.
"We have already stated we have punished the people responsible for the unconventional warfare I presume your speaking of..." He paused once more before being swiftly interrupted by the Artistan diplomats present at the table.

As they finished speaking, he replied in a much calmer tone than before.

"That is a reasonable proposition you have....And thus I suggest we both accept this offer..."

He then took one last pull of the cigar before placing it in a nearby ashtray, waiting for an response..

22-10-2004, 02:46
Vibius Augustus smiled.

"Alright, then we've agreed to peace yes? All Imperial Forces will withdraw from the region, except for special forces which will operate in Independant Macedonia to root out terrorist and bring them to Northern Albania for justice. These terms are agreeable for us."
Independent Macedonia
22-10-2004, 19:57
OOC: Independent Macedonia has been ejected from it's holdings in "real" macedonia, and has evacuated to New Zanzibar, due to Nod deceit. However i will roleplay until the end of this topic as if we still retained control of it.

Cid looked at all the leaders seated around him, "What terrorist does he speak of? Fate and Honor was there in the original war, the former government wasn't oppressive, corrupt, but not oppressive. All the people his government label as terrorists are merely refugees that fled his own oppressive nations!" He tried to explain, referring to Northern Albania. "The only "terrorists" as he call them that were in our nation were in the city that he leveled, so the so called threat is gone, though i wonder if it ever existed. The only reason we are agreeing with these plans are because we are weary of this war, and of the horrors forced onto it. Our heart is telling us this is wrong, but our mind is telling us to accept it. This is both a day of light and darkness for our people, I hope you all understand that before forcing anything on us. But w ewill not be difficult by any means, if it is in the best interest of the Balkans we will do what ever it takes, thank you" He sat down, those would probably be his last words before what ever was choosen was enforced upon his nation...
Fate and Honor
22-10-2004, 21:37
Vibius Augustus sprang to words before any foreign ministers could do so.

"I propose to you, Mr. Cid, that you allow grant permission to my nation to station a force on your side of the border between yourself and Independant Macedonia. We are a trustworthy ally, we hope you believe so also, and will not be trecherous. Our men will remain as a detterent from a Northern Albanian attack, and the special forces with them will root out and bring to trial all suspected terrorist. We ask you, Mr. Cid, that you allow the Empire of Fate and Honor to do this."

Augustus smiled at Mr. Cid when he had finished speaking.

"It seems we have come to an conclusion...." He scanned the various diplomats before proceeding to speak once again.
