Hello. This is President Sergei Ilyanov of The Island of Rose. Preconsul of The New Roman Empire. Executive Power of the Rosian Government. Let us analyze NATO, an alliance most people think is OMG evil! Let's begin with its objectives. What is NATO's objectives? To defend its member states. Now, that's not so OMG evil is it? Now, let's talk about its label as an "evil warmongering asshole". Name one instant in where NATO attacked for no reason. Yes, maybe the Mississippian treaty does look contraversial. But at the time, it was needed, they were mad. But right now, they don't seem too bad, a little Nazi but something I wouldn't attack. Second, you people think we're scheming to destroy anybody. Why would we scheme to destroy you? Clearly a sign of egotism, thinking they're good enough to be destroyed, bah. And come on, I'm in the alliance. Do you really think evil baby eaters when you think of TIoR? No, you think of a diplomatic, friendly nation that is nice. I mean, come on! Me in a warmongering alliance! I think not! Now, please just kindly shut up about NATO being an OMG evil alliance. And kindly shut the fuck up. Thank you, and God bless.

The Dominion echoes the statement made by President Sergei Ilyanov of The Island of Rose. The New Alliance Treaty Organization's members are a very peaceful and diplomatic bunch, with no exceptions whatsoever (unless they are bullied into an aggressive stance of course).

We concur with the statements of TiotR, we have never seen any credible evidence that suggests that NATO is a warmongering alliance.

OOC: Sorry, been away...I was allied with NATO with Ruhr and a few others before I left NS. Pending discussions with APTO I will take a neutral stance for now.

I have no problum with a majority of the nations of NATO. I mean, I am in an alliance with you TIOR. But, the times I have seen NATO get involved, it was always to impead on another nations soverighnty. I dont see NATO as a warmongering alliance even though I will point out that some nations in it clearly are not trustworthy and are warmongers, I see NATO as being a police for NS. They get involved when they shouldnt get involved and make things much worse than they should be. Thats why I am not in, support, or defend NATO, and until I see their policies changing, I will happily defend any nations right to govern its own nation
