The Constitution of the Conservative United States of Holy Paradise
As of October 12, 1265, the Conservative United States of Holy Paradise is officially one of the world's nations. In order to keep the country together, this constitution has been made, which will be the structure of our nation's government.
Article 1
Section 1:
The Conservative United States of Holy Paradise is a representative democracy. No government official or branch may hold all the power of the country. There shall be 3 branches, which will share the power. They are:
The Law Makers Branch: The House of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the States.
The Executive Branch: The President, Vice-President, and the President's advisors and Secretaries.
The Justice/Law Editor Branch: The Supreme Court, the federal courts, state courts, and the county courts.
Section 2:
The Law Makers have 8 powers/responsiblities:
To propose laws
To vote for laws
To override vetos by the President
To repeal laws
To officialy declare war
To try an official if he/she is accused of a high crime
To impeach an official if he/she is found guilty of high crime(s)
To amend the Constitution
The Executive Branch has 8 powers/responsiblities:
To sign proposed laws from the Law Makers
To veto proposed laws from the Law Makers
To appoint judges to the supreme court
To command the entire armed forces in time of war
To represent the country in diplomatic meetings
To advise the Law Makers branch when needed
To suggest bills to the Law Makers branch
To make sure the country is safe and prosperous
The Justice/Law Editors branch has 8 powers/responsiblities:
To rule a law approved by the Law Makers and the President constitutional
To rule a law approved by the Law Makers and the President unconstitutional
To preside and judge court hearings
To make sure the Executive Branch or Law Makers Branch gain total control
To sentence guilty defendents in court
To provide Holy Paradise citizen/defendents a lawyer
To prosecute the accused in a case of treason.
Article 2
These are the restraints,freedoms, and guidelines of the government and the rrest of the citizens.
1. Each government official gets an unlimited amount of terms but must be elected.
2.Elections for all government officials shall take place every 4 years
3. All have the freedom of religion, speech, political beliefs, and opinion(except for communist beliefs)
4. All have the right to bear arms
5. All have the right against search and seizure by the law without permission
6. All citizens have the right to a fair trial and a lawyer
7. All citizens over the age of 21 have the right to vote.
8. All citizens have the right to a trial by jury.
9. The states have limits and freedoms of governing themselves according to the government's standards
10. The following acts and items are illegal: Genocide, treason, murder(includes abortion), rape, kidnapping, robbery, prostitution, pornography, drugs(except for alcohol), tobacco, sexual assualt, non-sexual physical assualt, mental assualt, verbal assualt, Communist beliefs, swindling, business trusts, insider trading, false reports, lying to the government, and conspiracy to commit or own any of the above.
11. If the President dies in office, is impeached, or resigns for any reason, the Vice President shall take the position. If the Vice President also dies, is impeached, or resigns, the Head of the Congressional House of State Representatives will take over. If he/she also can't hold office, the Secretary of State will take over the position of President.
