OCC - Ok, first, I wanna apologize for the liberation thing and the ICBM thing, bah! I was being a total n00b there so ignore those threads, but from a person that made me realize a lot of things, I won't god-mod, ok?

Thanks Borman Empire ^^

Oh yeah and I made a new thread for the Occupation of Japan, China held on me

IC -

The death of Huaji shook millions. Japanese civilians extending from Nara all the way to Sapporo in Hokkaido backed down as if they were powerless with their leader dead. Shortly, Japanese civilians started to accept the Chinese occupation for they realized it would be temporary. Even though the treaties nearly annexed Japan, Japan had to accept it.

OOC: Ah, you see the light. You realise that we'll have to kick you around a little first?

IC:
With a net total of $2.2 trillion of foreign debt to service, the Taiwanese Provisional Authority begins the accounting work : as the central bank of Japan could print as much money as they like (making the currency worthless), the decision was made to pay off the foreign debt through asset liquidations valued conservatively to avoid hedging losses.

The first assets to be seized in order to repay the debts was the Japanese Central Bank's gold bullion. The yen would be debased and a trading halt was announced. The yen would now be fixed to a raft of foreign currencies for the foreseeable future.

Even though Japan's major cities have been heavily bombed, the money that remained in the governments hand wasn't used yet, and now, the government has decided to use it into repairing the cities and atleast 6% of the leftover money would go to restoring the currency's worthiness.

OCC - May I ask other nations to help me fund for my economy and other things in another thread?

A message is delivered by hand from a Bonstocknian emissary to the leader of the Japanese People (whoever he/she is) with great secrecy:

Dear Sir,

We probably don’t care much for each other. Our country despises your racism against Chinese people, and your country probably despises our stance on the matter. But we both hate Sino, Xiaguo, and _Taiwan more. While Bonstock would rather not be caught in a war with those three, we would love the chance to make their lives as miserable as possible, or at least distract their attentions. Our intelligence services, the BSS, are willing to smuggle arms into your country and send special forces to train and equip resistance fighters against the Sinoese and others. While we cannot provide much, as we would like to be as clandestine as we can, we can provide help in expelling Sinoese troops from your country. If you accept, tell us so, and we’ll send weapons and give training. If not, then we warn you, Sino especially has a bad history occupying Japanese territory.

We thank you for your time.

OOC: Hm...potential there. But who are you actually handing it to? The government of TJP has been dissolved, and the Provisional Authority is run by Taiwan. Could be an interesting twist though.

IC:

The next round of assets targeted for debt recovery : The 258-strong Boeing fleet of Japan Airlines, and the fleets of smaller domestic airlines.

Creditors also began assessing the value of the bullet train line between Osaka and Tokyo and heavy machinery owned by Japanese corporations. To speed the recovery of assets, a "Economic recovery surcharge" was imposed on all transactions. [OOC: Like GST or VAT]

Yasukini Shrine
Under the Provisional Authority, the shrine was closed off to the general public. The ashes of the Class A war criminals in World War II were taken away in great secrecy and "destroyed".

OCC - I'm actually letting you all do what you have to do.

Hmm. . .Sino and Xiaguo aren't responding, so I guess I'll hand it to you.

Sinoese bases had been setting up under Prussianized efficiency across the fields of southern Honshu, in Hiroshima and Okayama as well as on Shikoku. Sinoese troops had been rearmed with Type 87A (5.8x42mm DBP) rifles with 75-round cartridge drums as running out off ammo seems to be the biggest risk to the Chinese rifleman.

Agreeing to the idea of cross-garissoning, Sinoese troops now accompany the said Taiwanese creditors in their missions of justice. Sinoese logistical units will also provide support to their fellow Chinese counterparts when the need arises.

(Hurries along time so _Taiwan can withdraw, if Sino agrees. And what's this about repairing your economy? We're eating it alive. A very short post follows.)

Over the next months, heavy machinery from the industrial cities are packed up and sent to Taiwan.

With inflows over the last few months, Okinawa is now almost all Chinese.

(OOC)Too bad this is closed RP - The Formation of a Democratic Union of Asia in eastern china with 8 provinces including the Capital district and forbidin city would take the heat off of the Japanese People by expansionalist Chinese policies - and redirect it towards reaquiring lossed territories.

Although the Democratic Union of Asia sues for a peaceful conclusion to the situation of course - assembling a military force at the new borders would prompt an immediate preemptive response by the International Fleet of the DUA(/OOC).

Zhang announces withdrawal timetable

"The campaign to disarm Japanese ultra-conservatives has concluded and we have won," President Zhang said in a press statement yesterday. "It is no longer neccesary for a Taiwanese military presence in Japan. Today I unveil our withdrawal timetable, as enough progress has been made by the people of Japan."

Secret IC:
Basically, the ROCA units would gradually be withdrawn after the complete payment of the war debt - not like there was much left. Entire industrial parks were ghost towns after heavy machinery was dismantled and shipped to Taiwan. The powerful electronics industry that was once the epitome of Japanese prosperity was no more, with companies like Mitsubishi and Sumitomo reduced to making pots and pans. Vital infrastructure lay in ruin, not from war but from financial disrepair. A terminal in Tokyo airport recently collapsed from the lack of maintenance. Worse, the country's nuclear plants faced meltdown at any moment due to the cannibalisation of parts to maintain ROCN nuclear powered ships, and waste had been imported from other nations and dumped in the TJP countryside in exchange for payment, which went to the Provisional Authority.

The Bank of Tokyo had to deal with a currency that was dead in the water - millions of new notes were printed hourly, resulting in massive hyperinflation. A can of soup cost $5 in the morning and $500,000 by the afternoon.

In short, TJP was now a third world country on the edge of Asia.
