Iuthian Holidays

Introduction:

Hello and welcome to the “Iuthian Holidays” the thread in which an Iuthian program on INB (Iuthia National Broadcasting) is broadcast so that we may learn more about one another’s nations from the tourist’s point of view.

Basically each episode/post that I make, I will cover a different nation which has answered a questionnaire of my devising designed to get all the information I need to role-play one of their people going to your nation for a week and filming their holiday like you may see in holiday programs like “Wish you were here”. I will only give this questionnaire to people who display their interest on this thread who I want to do in the near future… priority will go to nations who I think will make for a good post but if your concept is interesting it doesn’t matter who you are. Bare in mind that your nation has to have a tourism industry in the first place and if you are a dangerous nation to visit I may not go depending on your co-operation.

Each episode/post which I make will then be linked for quick access on this first post… which means you can find your post easy and it means that this thread can be spammed to hell and I can still have each entry easily found through the index on this post. You’ll see when it gets started.

The advantages of this are clear, on one hand I get to visit other nations and learn more about them and post a good IC report which can be shown off to others… that information can be used by yourself to further document your nation and lets face it; you have more coverage and my characters for the show will get more famous, which is part of the point.

So display your interest briefly, make your comments and we’ll see how this thing takes off.

Thanks,

Pete, the player behind Iuthia.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/Iuthia/Misc/IuthianHolidays.jpg

Hello and welcome back to a new series of Iuthian Holidays, a close up look at the luxurious holidays on offer around the world.

Seeing as this is the first episode in this second series which is now being broadcast to nations outside of Iuthia now, we feel that a special celebration is in order and we have decided to start with our own nation, the benevolent dictatorship of Iuthia.

Today, Tom will be looking at the numerous night clubs on offer around the capitol, looking into the very heart of Iuthia’s tourism hotspot and some of the more famous nightclubs in Iuthia Prima; he’ll also be judging some of our best drug cafés and showing off some of Iuthia Primes more scenic spots.

Later in the program I will be looking at some of the glorious beach resorts a little north of Iuthia Prima still within an hours drive from the cities shopping district. But now, on with Tom’s report of the Capitols nightlife and drug culture.

[The screen fades again to a tall blonde man in a pair of jeans and a simple stylish red shirt, it’s now night and in the background music from near by clubs can be heard. The man is standing in the middle of a street which has clearly been blocked off from traffic so only pedestrians can walk here. Occasionally passing him are groups of men, women and various races, usually human but occasionally elven. All of which seem to be having a good time, talking loudly in between going to next club. The man turns to the camera and starts his report.]

Here in the capitol of Iuthia, the night life is positively buzzing with energy as people have come home from work only to come back out again and party for the weekend coming up. Truly if you want to have a night of excitement, dancing and perhaps finding yourself a partner then Knootoss Square is the place to be… on my left we have scores of Drug Cafés, bars and food courts and to my right we have some of the more famous clubs in Iuthia where we make up for all the hard work done during the day.

[The camera turns to the left to show the various shops with the occasional drug iconography, the structures solid but clearly advertising their purpose, people can be seen coming in and out of food courts, pubs and cafes alike, occasionally holding a joint or something to eat… though drinks are not seen outside the venues. The camera then turns to the right to reveal ‘Paradise Lost’ a large three story venue with crowds lining up to get inside. The building is more showy then the majority of dull Iuthian affairs.]

Paradise Lost is one of the classier night clubs in Iuthia Prima, occasionally Iuthian celebrities can be seen going to unwind and with three floors of the latest hits and some world class DJs one can’t help but queue up for this venue on a Friday night.

[The screen fades to a montage of clubbers partying in ‘Paradise Lost’ wearing all kinds of clothes, some have gone for body paint instead of clothes, others look like their naked, though for decencies sake they aren’t focused on and nothing can be made out… the last scene shows the third floor being filled with foam at the peak of the music, much to the crowd pleasure. Then the scene cuts back to Tom now sitting outside a café, cup of coffee in hand but behind him others can be seen smoking joints.]

Here in ‘Reefa Central’ you can get hold of many types of exotic coffees from around the world, the majority of cafés in Iuthia don’t supply such a varied stock and generally stick to the more general goods, but ‘Reefa Central’ is more for those looking for the tastes of the world and has earned an excellent reputation as one of the best cafés in Iuthia Prima. They don’t just stock coffee either; many of the lower classification recreational drugs are on offer here, including some of the more expensive and exotic cannabis imports. You can get this sort of service in most Iuthian cafés but here in Reefa Central you can get a taste for much of what Iuthia has to offer.

But drugs, coffee and nightclubs aren’t all that Iuthia has to offer… aside from the many brothels in the city centre which we won’t be covering today, Iuthia Prima has many sites to offer those looking for a more peaceful time in our capitol.

[Again we skip to a montage of a some of the more interesting places in Iuthia Prima, the first montage being that of the Embassy District on the edge of deGritz river in the south of the city. Many of the embassies are wonderful building sometimes modified by the nations, sometimes honours which Iuthia has made for diplomats working in the district… many statues can be seen of various world leaders, generally only those of which the Iuthian government respects. The montage ends on a memorial park. Throughout Tom talks about each site.]

Iuthia’s embassy district has many sites to for those wanting to view the glory of Iuthia’s diplomatic corps, the building here are carefully built, modified and well looked after, the shops here are well stocked and generally very friendly and multilingual… many tourists like this district because everyone here can generally speak more then one language and the sites are breath taking.

Here we have a statue of previous Lord General Bolivar deGritz in the centre of the Bolivar Memorial Park, very well kept and looked after… occasionally veterans meet to swap tales of heroism and honour. Outsiders are more then welcome to come and listen as an audience is appreciated, you are even encouraged to join in with your own tales of your families or friends experiences… in a sense they are only interested in the tale and bragging isn’t uncommon. It’s an old tradition which has been carried on since Bolivar deGritz’s military take over around 100 years ago.

[Another montage covers the rest of the city, showing off some of the better looking building with some quick commentary from Tom, once this part of the show is complete the montage then fades out with the Elven women returning.]

Of course, if night clubs and excitement isn’t your fancy; the Iuthian coast just north of the city is excellent for people who want to get away from the active city life and chill out by the sea. Here in the ‘Summer Dreams’ resort you will find the rooms view to be sensational, looking out to the east sea you can watch the sun rise each morning and with it’s close proximity to the beach you can easily walk to the beach for a early morning scroll.

The beaches are in good condition and they are free to use though there are on the spot fines for those who litter, generally a range of activities are on offer for people wishing to enjoy the ocean, anything from sailing and surfing to snorkelling diving. Prices vary but they are competitive and the people supervising are fully trained and helpful.

[Quick montage of people swimming in the ocean.]

Iuthia is generally a good location to holiday due to the safety of our society, though you will find that lack of privacy laws in regards to non-civilians can make it seem quite scary to outsiders. The people of Iuthia respect authority and have a direct attitude in many of the things they do, not to be confused with being rude.

To travel to Iuthia you need to come from a trusted nation due to some of the paranoia in the Iuthian Military, however it’s easy enough to divert from a trusted nation via plane or boat… you will need your passport and permission from the Iuthian immigration if you are staying longer then six weeks.

Security checks are fairly heavy in Iuthia, but once you are in you should face no more hassle from the careful security people are the airports. You will be required to check in and out of your hotel each time you enter and leave for security reasons, but you will be open to pretty much all the freedoms which Iuthians enjoy.

Guns are not legal in Iuthia and you cannot bring them into Iuthia… however drugs are perfectly legal but carefully regulated, bringing them into the nation is ok for personal use amounts but generally you are encouraged to buy some within the nation. You may be shocked to find that in Iuthia it’s perfectly legal to be nude all of the time, though the majority of Iuthians don’t exercise this unless its warm and they aren’t at work… nudity is perfectly natural in Iuthia.

Iuthia isn’t really a nation which celebrates often, but there is a week long holiday from April 22 – 29 to celebrate Bolivar deGritz, the man who stabilised Iuthia after a relatively clean military coup.

The main tourist attraction is that drugs are totally legalised and it has a strong sex industry, Iuthia’s drug cafés are amongst some of the best in the world and you don’t even need to go to a café to buy drugs in Iuthia.

Iuthia’s nightlife is pretty active in the city centres where pubs and clubs are common as well as brothels and drug cafés which remain open till late. Generally the Iuthian populace may not have much imagination, but they do like to party after a hard days work.

Iuthia has many of the conventional sports, but they mostly like the ones they were taught in their military service years. Rugby is a popular game in Iuthia and there is some rivalry between clubs which started from teams formed in military training. Aside from that you can visit the Jungles, but it’s hard to find a guide and precautions are needed.

You will find that you don’t need to take any vaccinations to enter Iuthia as all of the dangerous diseases have been almost eliminated like in most nations, however you may find that if you choose to get adventurous and enter Iuthia’s jungles you will need to get a guide and vaccinations in preparation.

The main currency of Iuthia is the Iuthian Credit with one hundred Cents to the Credit. You can use traveller’s checks in many of the main tourist attractions but you are advised to get Iuthian money as crime is almost none existent and you can do more with it.

[Finally the elf describes the general cost for the resort she stayed in and fills in some more information about the costs of the activities in the club. Finally, both her and Tom both wave their goodbyes.]

Telegrams sent... I'm not sure about e-mail but meh, give me an address and maybe, I would prefer to keep this simple.

Also not that I will not be writing almost 2000 words for each entry like I did with my own... but I'll try not to let people down and priority goes to nations I'm more interested in doing, so it's not first come first served.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/Iuthia/Misc/IuthianHolidays.jpg

Hello and welcome back to our new series of Iuthian Holidays, a close up look at the luxurious holidays on offer around the world.

In this episode in we will be reviewing holiday locations in Knootoss, a European nation in the northern hemisphere of the world. Tom will be wandering around the 'cities within cities' in Knootcap and I'll be relaxing in the city of Amsterdam, part of Knootcap, where I'll be looking at the more cultural side of Knootoss. But now over to Tom's report.

[The screen fades to Tom, standing in the capitol behind a wonderful period built train station ( http://www.piko.com.au/deskimg/Amsterdam%20CS.jpg) next to the river, people are walking past him of all different races and creeds, elves and humans alike.]

Welcome to Amsterdam, Knootcap… where else to describe the metropolis of Knootcap other then one of its older magnificent train stations. The network city of Knootcap (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Knootcap) isn’t so much a city, but a bunch of cities joint to together encompassing the west and centre of the country including the old cities of the Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. All of which are great tourist locations and you can find any range of activities to keep you interested. It truly is a metropolis with everything on offer.

Getting around isn’t very hard and the cost is reasonable and varied depending on how you want to get around; the biggest problem you may find is choosing how to get around as there are many public transport systems to get you from one part of this mega-city to the next. The train network hasn’t got the best reputation in the region and as such we would advise you to take the inter-city trams and public transports such as buses which are cheep and have just as thorough networks.

If you are looking for fun then there is no better place then Amsterdam, the old capitol of Knootoss where you will find coffee shops, prostitution, night clubs and beautiful period building and cobble streets… you can find anything in this city and the laws in Knootoss are very close to those of Iuthia. You can buy drugs at your leisure and nudity is perfectly legal. However we would suggest being careful at night as the city hasn’t eliminated crime, generally you should be safe in public areas but you should travel in groups and to weary of dark areas.

I should also note that you should carry some form of tag to inform paramedics that you don’t want to be euthanized should you be in a serious accident.

Besides that Knootcap has an excellent night life which matches that of Iuthia Prima, the “Wallen” has at very active sex industry with all kinds of brothels to fit your needs. The night clubs here are as lively as any you can find around the world and you could party all night in Amsterdam if you aren’t careful.

[We now cut to night in the city of Amsterdam ( http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-46/pics/amsterdam-night.jpg) where the wonderful backdrops are put into a montage showing off the cities nightlife as Tom continued to describe the scene.]

You also have the quaint rivers throughout the city which only add to the charm of this old capitol. The “Venice of the North” as the locals call it is a great place to walk around and enjoy the scenes, the network of tree-line canals can make for nice romantic rides for couples and show some of the scenic parts of the old city.

Truly Knootcap is the city with everything.

[The scene fades out and we come back to Liessa Valleron, the elven woman from the start of the program. She is standing on the edge of flower fields (http://www.bulb.com/industry/images/15023.jpg) of North Amsterdam where the colours are blazing.]

Here in at the North of Amsterdam you can see some of the more beautiful exports of Knootoss in their full glory. The tulips and other flowers grown here are exported around the world where their quality is world renowned. They also make for a nice tourist attraction and a relaxing view, many flower enthusiast come to this part of Amsterdam to see the many colours of the tulips in summer.

[We now cut to Liessa walking past period building in the old capitol of Amsterdam, again the canals can be seen beside the road.]

The people of Knootoss can be rather rude and blunt, but generally you will find that most people here are very tolerant of all creeds and races and enjoy life to the fullest. Most people in Knootoss speak both English and German so you shouldn’t have to worry about learning the local language.

The currency is the much debated Euro, with one hundred Eurocents to the Euro. You can use traveller’s checks in most tourist locations and the Menelmacari credit is accepted in most areas of Knootcap.

If you are interested in trying some of the local dishes you will find that the Knootian people occasionally eat raw fish, something you may want to get in on for a taste of Knootoss. You can also buy wooden shoes to give your friends, though you shouldn’t find anyone actually wearing a pair.

The beaches of Knootoss are nice and well kept, but you have to pay in order to visit them so that they can maintain them well. Fortunately the price shouldn’t set you back much at all and it’s worth it for the good conditions. You may find that cities like Rotterdam pollution is a little higher as it’s the industrial part of Knootcap, but most of the activities there should mean it’s not too much of a problem unless you have breathing difficulties.

The local sport is soccer/football who compete in the regional competitions, however due to their lack of success you may find that this is a sore spot with the locals. If you enjoy football then I’m sure you will like their stadiums.

Hotels the in Knootoss are reasonable with quality varying with price, there are 5-star hotels at several top locations but also cheaper hotels. There are also plenty of hotels in the major cities. There are special “inns” for students with very cheap, share rooms. Caravan parks and holiday homes are all available.

You will need a passport to travel to Knootoss and you may be required to fill in some paperwork if you are from a nation Knootoss recognises as a potential threat… however KIST nation will find that travel is easy enough.

[Now we skip to a scenic view of Knootoss as the elf describe the prices before ending the program.]

Thanks for watching, see you next time on Iuthian Holidays.

Iuthian Holidays

The music fades along with the title screen, revealing a good looking Elven women ( http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=343536) sitting in the spectators seat in a large football/soccer stadium on a warm summers day. She looks to the screen in cue for the end of the music.]

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/Iuthia/Misc/IuthianHolidays.jpg

Hello and welcome to another edition of Iuthian Holidays, the show which travels to exotic locations around the world to help you plan your holiday in the sun.

Today we will be looking at the football capitol of the world, Rejistania which lies in the southern hemisphere at the FIFA region of the world where through-out the neighbouring countries the football is of very high standard. Rejistania itself is a large island in the tropics where the sun is hot and the rainforests are treated as religious ground. We should warn you that you will have to take some vaccinations for tropical diseases before going to Rejistania as they are a tropical nation, as such consult your local doctor before travel.

In a moment, Tom will be looking into the beautiful game itself as well as looking around metropolis city of KaMaRi kali, three cities which have expanded so far they have become a single entity. And later I will be taking my time to enjoy the beautiful beaches down sound along the white beaches of Nanti Kansu, then later off to the cultural city of Na~ovi kali a city which matches the beauty of the capitol itself.

[The screen switches to a short montage from above the nation flying over the many lush lands where the rainforest grows. From above it’s a beautiful nation with light blue sparkling waters and white beaches. Shortly the screen cuts to Tom, who is wearing the local colours of the Orange-Blues and walking around the streets of KaMaRi kali city centre where he is dwarfed by the opening to a stadium behind him. ]

Welcome to the land of football, here in KaMaRi kali city centre you can eat, sleep and drink football as you are literally surrounded by top quality football stadiums which are some of the most impressive sport stadiums you are likely to see around the world. The Rejistani economy thrives on sales made from this industry, football kits, ticket sales, tourism, food and much more… all in the name of football. Hundreds of thousands of people from around the world flock here to watch the first Rejistani Football League, H1SR.

In order to get here most people take either a plane or a ferry at relatively normal costs as Rejistania is more then capable of taking on the demands of it’s tourism industry, however if you are looking for a bit of adventure you can take a more scenic route to the tropical nation by taking the more traditional boats, made out of wood, which are waiting on some harbours near the Rejistania. You will be required to have both your passport and to have applied for a visa in order for the Rejistani authorities to determine that you are in fact a tourist and not an illegal immigrant. You will, as normal have to declare anything meant to be sold in the country to achieve a profit at Customs. Counterfeit match tickets are contraband and will result in an arrest regardless of where the game is to be played.

[Some of the wooden boats are shown along with some nice pictures of the sunset as the boat drifts across the sea.]

Once you are inside the city you will find that you can get around as you would in many other large cities around the world as KaMaRi kali has an extensive public transport system for match days and the other cities of Rejistania have the same standard, buses, trams and trains as you would expect in other cities around the world. However you may find that hiring a car or calling a taxi is a little expensive due to the tax hikes on fuel by the government. You can instead hire a bicycle rather cheaply and you will find that they are popular in the cities. For cheap and more traditional methods of getting around you can take Rikshas at very little cost.

The Rejistani currency is the lil'kansu (plural: lil'kansu'ny), a lower unit does not exist. The smallest coins are 50 lil'kansu'ny coins, 10’000 lil'kansu'ny and higher values are in banknotes. Cash is preferred over credit cards or other representations of money, but accepted in big stores.

KaMaRi kali may seem like an odd name for this city; however it needs to be understood that this isn’t just one city, but three combined through their overpopulation and expansion. The name is the abbreviation of Kalimnintan-Maiju-Riandu, the three cities which grew into one another, kali is just the word used to describe the fact this place is a city. If you would like to take a walk around you will see the various districts which were once cities of their own, such as the Riandi quarters which still have small roads and houses with only small windows in direction to the roads, Kalimnintani quarters which still have small houses and on the doors are traditional signs to keep evil (Jaortir) away.

Kalimnintan was the ancient capital of the Majuvedian kingdom. The old palace and the religious park which has a certain hill which was claimed by different inikresaistic sects, when fight started, the king Exkeja reminded the fighters that the all believe in the same higher gods and allowed it all religions to have their temples or places of worship there. You can see different inikresaistic temples, a Buddhist temple, even a roman catholic church. Of course the centre of KaMaRi can not be described as falling into one category. The high number of different soccer teams and stadiums is remarkable even for Rejistani standards.

Coming back to the football, you may recognise the name Rejistania for it’s excellent reputation for succeeding in football, having recently managed to get into the 16th round of the World Cup 17 ( http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=355640&page=1&pp=15) where they have managed to defeat many other football teams.

[A short montage of Rejistani victories over of nations is shown with some beautifully placed goals and cheering from the crowds before going back to Tom.]

While the exciting football can be seen in the day, you will notice that the nightlife here in KaMaRi kali, as well as all around Rejistania, is almost none existent. The people of Rejistania have few discotheques and pubs but there is hardly anywhere to enjoy the clubbing scene, for you music lovers this isn’t an ideal place to look for a party… unless the local or national team has recently won a game, in which case the celebrations will go on through till dawn.

On a note of laws in Rejistania you will find that the crime rate in Rejistania is officially low because the local people prefer to solve their problems without too much police interference. Most crimes are officially white-collar crimes. However there is a hint that hooliganism is a problem. When shops close in the afternoon, an important match is taking place, its better leave that part of the city in order to avoid any danger from such crowds.

Hash and nudity is legal in Rejistania, but in the northern part (Nanti Simu) it is frowned upon, sex is legal as long as both persons are older than 14 and consenting. However, bare in mind that sodomy is outlawed. Lawsuits were successful in which someone committing extramarital sex was sued due to the 'emotional trauma' he caused. As such if you are homosexual you should take this seriously into consideration, also not that this nation doesn’t have the death penalty. Guns and closed source software are outlawed in Rejistania.

While I’m off to watch the local team play; now over to Liessa with the more scenic parts of Rejistania.

[Tom walks off into the stadium where the camera follows him until he enters before fading out to Liessa Valleron who is walking along the beach in a pair of silver sandals.]

Welcome to the beaches in southern Nanti Kansu, as you can see the sand is fine and white, the palm trees sway in the background and the water sparkles blue… while the nightlife isn’t much in Rejistania you will find that the activities available during the day more then make up for this by exhausting you so you won’t want to be up during the night as the next day will be full of adventure.

Swimming and other water activities are reasonably priced over here and you will find the water to be warm and tropical… on that note however it’s important to remember that this is a tropical nation and at the beach don't go into the sea barefooted as some of the sea life could cut your foot.

Talking about the tropics you will find the Jungles here to be as dangerous and adventurous as any other, however certified guides are on offer to take you around the jungles and keep you from touching anything poisonous.

The rainforests of Rejistania are often considered holy and that is the reason why most of them exist despite industrialisation, due to very high environmental standards and green spots in the cities, smog is virtually unknown. Rejistania has no mountains of any kind.

The local weather has tropical rain, which is most extreme in the northern part. During the rain, you ought to be inside or in one of the Arcadias, but mostly it’s a nice place to visit if you don’t mind the tropical climate.

[The screen fades and shows a montage of Na~ovi kali, a magnificent cityscape with old building described by Liessa.]

In the near by city of Na~ovi kali you can see the wonderful surrounding and visit the Tida-palace and other beautiful Isesian buildings which are open for the public to view so long as they show respect; the Rejistani life is highly dominated by "Hadi" and "Vani". The first word means taboo, the second an action, which must be done. Despite regional differences, the main rules are rules of respect (Rejistani: Simu). Losing your face and not showing the required amount of respect are Hadi. This makes Rejistanis’ appear very reserved and very polite. Among friends and family, this changes. Notably is that sexual matters are not much regulated by the Inikresaistic religion; as long as sex is consenting and no one profits, it is not outside of simu.

If you are looking for some cultural activities you can generally find "Vanuatan" bungee jumping in several rural areas of Nanti Ligat which is very popular with tourists. In-line skating is also very popular among the local people and you will find many venues you can try this at.

Most holidays in Rejistania are of religious nature; the different celebrations for the lower gods are on different days in the different parts of Rejistania (the lower gods differ in different confessions). The celebrations for the higher gods Relekekansa and Jaortiskansa are celebrated in entire Rejistania. You can see processions with traditional music, costumes and dances, as well as ceremonies in the temples.

[Finally she comes up to the point where she explains the costs of staying in Rejistania as well as the costs of various activities.]

Most Rejistani or Progressans prefer cheap accommodation; so many Vehidjit hotels exist. Vehidjit means: rooms for one or two persons, shared bathrooms, traditional cuisine which are simple but tasty meals. Vehidjit alna hotels have one room to sleep in for all guests, a kind of large hall with beds on both sides and are extremely cheap. However the hygiene of the hotel is never an issue there due to strict guidelines of the state. More luxury is offered by the international hotel companies (and the Rejistani company Oceanian Star), but there prices are on international level and sometimes above.

There are also holiday homes in every class of comfort can be found especially in Nanti Kansu. Remember that you can only stay for three months at the maximum.

Thanks and I hope you enjoyed the episode, see you next time on Iuthian Holidays!

Iuthian Holidays

[Calm topical music plays and a clips of sunny beaches, beautiful city skylines and tropical oceans are displayed. Soon enough the title screen pops up with the title of the program “Iuthian Holidays”

The music fades along with the title screen, revealing the Elven presenter, Liessa Valleron ( http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=343536) sitting outside of a café on a warm summers day. She looks to the screen in cue for the end of the music.]

Hello and welcome back to another edition of “Iuthian Holidays” the show which takes you around the world to look at some of the best holiday locations that money can buy.

On today’s program we’ll be enjoying the atmosphere in Liverpool England; proud winners in the 8th NS Football World Cup and Field Hockey World Cup. I’ll be checking out the remarkable sporting arenas and cafés while Tom will be looking into the nightlife in the built up capitol of Orean.

But first, let’s take a talk around this capitol during the day…

[Liessa Valleron gets up from her seat in the pleasant café and the camera pans around the main street to look at the architecture surrounding them. Like Iuthia it is heavily built up with defence clearly in mind. Automatically Iuthians watching the program are reminded of home, but with a foreign twist. Another small thing that is noticeable is the clear lack of chewing gum and litter on the street, something which will be clear throughout the program. Liessa starts to walk down the street, clearly a little shorter then the human passers-by… Iuthian elves are generally a little shorter then humans.]

Liverpool England is situated in the southern hemisphere in the Heartland region of the world, the nation is next to a small number of other nations such as Miraclia to the west and Merinov to the east. To the south and north you have the ocean, with some beaches you can visit but they aren’t considered to be Liverpool England’s best tourist attraction. If you are interested in other territories of Liverpool England then you could go to Lox Land Island, but it’s considered to be none too remarkable.

Generally you will find the weather in Liverpool England to be varied depending on where you are staying, the closer to the deserts you are the hotter and drier you will find the weather, however the majority of the nation is rather cool with the occasional shower. There have been a few floods and tsunami problems in the past nearer to the cost, but generally you will find these are rare occurrences which shouldn’t interfere with your holiday providing you take care to watch the forecasts.

Getting here is rather simple… you should be able to book a holiday with your normal companies and get either a flight or a ferry to Liverpool England, possibly having to divert depending on where you are. As for your requirements; you will need a passport if you are a nation from outside of the Heartland region. You will need to declare any living cargo at customs and weapons are not permitted into the nation. The main ports remain open all year round 24 hours a day, however, it is worth noting that on public holidays, visitors on board night flights and ferries may have to wait for morning to be allowed to enter.

Also note that you need Exit Papers to leave the nation after your stay, less you want to be detained. To get hold of them you need to pick them up at the nearest Liverpool England consulate, you may get them from travel agents as well; always make sure to ask if you aren’t sure.

The currency here works on the Liverpool Pound, which is split into 100 pence. You can also get the Duel Pound which is worth twenty Liverpool Pounds. Traveller’s checks are accepted in major tourist spots and shops, but are rarely used.

[Screen fades to Liessa taking a train from one part of the city to another, it’s clear and shows signs of the people on it actually being able to relax.]

Inside the nation you will find that the train system is the most comfortable way to get around without having to pay the cost you may have to pay taking a taxi. Buses are also available throughout the city and provide good coverage of all the best shopping locations and tourist hotspots in the city.

The laws here allow for a relatively free and enjoyable stay within the nation; like Iuthia they have banned weapons and legalised drugs, nudity and homosexuality. In fact the coffee you may be served in Liverpool England could very well be laced with drugs so it’s important to ask before buying if you are unsure. Also note that if you wish to take drugs you can only do it in your hotel room or in designated areas. Heavy drugs are banned.

The crime rate isn’t as well controlled as it is in Iuthia so you may find that later at night you should travel in large groups or well lit areas… crime isn’t a problem as such and tourists are generally not targeted but it’s a possibility.

[Liessa reaches her location and gets off the train and the screen fades to the outside of a large football stadium which Liessa enters, dwarfed by the sheer size of the structure. From the outside it is well fortified in the same way Iuthians would recognise and call “home” on the inside it’s like many other high quality stadiums. Now Liessa speaks from a stand in the stadium, looking out towards the empty field.]

I wouldn’t be in Orean without seeing the most famous stadium here, the Grover's Park football stadium, which seats 95’000 and is home to Orean United. It offers tourists a tour for an affordable Liverpool Pounds per person.

Liverpool England is famous, like Rejistania, for its many high quality stadiums. A second close to Grover’s Park; Shocker Stadium seats close to 40’000 and is home to the Orean Shockers baseball team.

If you aren’t interested in sport then you’ll find Orean has many large and luxurious shopping centres, as many as 15 in a ten mile area, all of which have the latest fashions and the perfect gifts for loved ones.

Generally Orean is a nice clean city because of the funding and consideration shown by the people, however it is rather built up like Iuthia Prima and as such you may encounter smog from time to time, so be careful if you are asthmatic. The people of Liverpool England are generally a happy, if not occasionally upfront people, who are occasionally mistaken for being rude. However they are helpful enough.

Now over to Tom who will cover Oreans nightlife…

[We now see Tom, who is walking around the brightly lit main streets of Orean, where there are many bars, shops and nightclubs in the area. He is wearing a simple fetching red shirt with his blue jeans, despite being in his late twenties.]

Here in Orean you will find many varied night clubs and bars to suit your needs, like Iuthia Prima they cater for all different music preferences and crowds with many famous gay and lesbian clubs open throughout the night.

Taxis are available throughout the night to the morning and so long as you go with reputable companies you can be sure that they are the safest way of getting around.

The bars are generally quite lively, especially on football days after a victory, where drinking will inevitably go on into the night.

There are holidays to look out for while planning your stay in Liverpool England, such as on June 24, which marks the day which Liverpool England won the NS Football World Cup. October 4 is also marked, the day the Field Hockey World Cup came to the nation as hosts, and January 28th, when Liverpool England won the Field Hockey World Cup, these days are always packed with celebrations.

[Tourist information now comes up with the pricing of hotels and the more interesting tourist activities.]

All hotels in Liverpool England are rated 3-star or more and the prices vary depending on location and quality; Liverpool England takes pride in serving tourists. Holiday inns are common in the countryside.

Thanks for watching, see you next time on “Iuthian Holidays”.

Hello and welcome to another edition of Iuthian Holidays, the show which travels the world looking for interesting tourists locations for your holiday needs.

Today we will be looking into the communist nation, Hallad, where I’ll be walking around the ancient city of Ryydra, Hallad’s art capital and Tom will in the Hallad capitol of Erse, experiencing the Nightlife and Ska sensation occurring all over Hallad. But for now a little bit of information about Hallad.

[The screen fades to a montage of pictures taken from a plane approaching Hallad, showing off its desert to the north and its plains to the south. On the whole it looks to be a rather warm nation.]

The nation of Hallad lies in the southern hemisphere of the world in the New Roman Empire region of the world. Near Hallad are other nations such as the Island of Rose, which we’ll be visiting later this season; at around 500 km south east of the coast, Psov is to the north and Hallad boarders many nations relatively unknown in international politics.

There is an island chain known as the Halladi Island States roughly 9,000 km off the coast. It is officially a commonwealth of Hallad; however most consider it a province.

As you can see, Hallad has a warm and dry climate in the south among the plains, and a hot and dry climate in the north in and around the desert. To the north you can expect the weather to be extremely hot in the summer and could be a problem if you aren’t prepared for it, you can also expect sand storms at times. Not many hurricanes hit Hallad; however tornados have been known to form in the south. You don’t need any special vaccinations and the native vultures have been known to circle around hikers, which can be frightening, but they are harmless to anything living.

In order to get into Hallad it’s just a matter of taking your passport and booking a flight or a ferry to the nation, you can even take a coach if you are on the same continent. If you wish to bring your weapons you need to get them registered with the Commissariat of Tourism, other wise they will be taken away and most likely sold to a member of the People’s Militia. If you are a USR nation from UnAPS you will find that you can probably take a Hyper-Rail train to Hallad, however it’s not entirely complete so you may need to get a train or a coach the rest of the way.

The only animals allowed into Hallad are Hawks due to the government’s initiative to revitalize their population in the wild. Any other wildlife will be considered contraband along with hard drugs and other illegal items. If you are from a strongly capitalist nation you may find yourself under more suspicion then others due to the communist regime in Hallad who pride themselves on their socialism.

[The montage from above the nation finishes on a picture of a sunset falling on a plane flying over Hallad, then switches over to Liessa Valleron walking among the ancient streets of Ryydra, like in the previous reports her size in comparison to human women is a little shorter, looking to be a around five foot in height. She is wearing a white dress which is slowly getting a little dusty at the bottom from the sandy winds from the deserts near by. ]

Getting around Hallad once you are inside is relatively normal as you will find that the public transport systems are average and are relatively cheap, taxis are also available but at a slightly increased price.

The local laws of Hallad state that drug use and nudity are permitted, however you are not allowed to take drugs in public and must only do so in your hotel or a designated area, such as a drugs café. Gay marriage is legal here and there are few laws, besides registration, about the ownership of weapons.

Racists from nations such as Decisive Action beware; racist remarks made in public are punishable by a 150 Utope fine in an attempt to stamp out racism in the nation. You will also find that like Iuthia prostitution is legal and state regulated and controlled… unlike Iuthia however, hard drugs are not available.

Hallad officially uses the Utope as currency, however the government has recently been introducing the Socialist Union Monetary Unit was a new form of currency. The smaller currency form is the Mini-Utope. Traveller’s checks are accepted in most areas of Hallad such as the major tourist spots.

Crime is relatively low in Hallad, so low that they see little reason for prisons, however you may note that the policemen are armed like soldiers, most drive BMP-3’s rather than squad cars, which probably explains why the crime rate is so low.

[The screen fades again to Liessa walking along a busy street in Ryydra with some of the most beautiful Arabic building around her, the scenes fade and return with more old traditional building from around the city, showing it in the best light possible.]

Here I am in the historic city of Ryydra, the capital of the province of Ryydra. It is in the centre of Hallad’s north-eastern province. It is known as Hallad’s art capital. It is pinnacle of Hallad’s Arab culture. The city is entirely based on ancient Arabic designs, and in the centre there is a huge and beautiful built over the original pool of water the cities builders found over 1,500 years ago. The city wall is still intact and is covered with a two mile long portrait describing the rise and unification of Hallad under the True Directorate, the Socialist Party of Hallad.

In this city you will find that the people here have a rather cynical and realistic view on the world, having a mild dislike of people they view as capitalists, however they are also a very compassionate people. Most of them are moderately religious, mostly involved in Islam, but you will find all sort around Hallad. Unity Day is the most celebrated, on January 26. It celebrates the day the True Directorate formed a united Halladi state, it’s a great time to be in the nation as the celebrations run along all day.

Now over to Tom with the night-life of Erse…

[We now switch over to Tom, who is back to wearing his blue shirt with black jeans, looking rather stylish (at least in Iuthia). Unlike the history capitol of the Ryydra province, Erse is a bit more modern city then Ryydra with it’s bustling with business and flags hanging from the windows, however the architecture is more resembling Soviet era buildings, which look nice enough if you are into those things.]

Here in Erse you will find more life then you will in the rest of Hallad; here the people are proud of their nation and flags hang out of many of the windows, many of these people consider themselves to be “true comrades” and it’s not considered odd at all. The north portion of the city is an industrial and commercial centre. In the south and west there is the capital building, Red Square, and the University of Erse along with residential areas. It is clean; gasoline isn’t used in major cities. Most buildings are modelled after Soviet architecture – it’s attractive if you like that style. You will also find the largest port in Hallad in Erse, which is fitting of the nation’s capitol.

Football is very popular here, it’s not uncommon to see people playing out on the streets and like in our last programs you can find stadiums fitting your every football need.

[Now we fade into night where the streets light up and the music starts pumping, Tom is now walking around one of the high streets in Erse where Ska can be heard from nearby night clubs.]

The night life in the city here is filled with 2-Tone clubs, playing Ska all night long. People play in the streets and large crowds of people have been known to gather simply to dance to Ska. Bands like the Pietasters and the Toasters are in high demand in Halladi clubs, with about 91% of the nation’s youth considering them to be Rude Boys. Any one with out a suit on at night will stick out like a sore thumb, as Rude Boys wear black and white suits to imitate and make fun of the upper class of capitalist nations.

You will find most of the nation is covered with the logos of state-owned companies that help young Ska bands record in studios. Most of the nation is still in the 2-Tone era culturally and if you like Ska then this is the place for you.

[Finally we come to the end of the program and the price lists come up displaying the general cost of the hotels and main activities in the nation.]

Here you will find that most hotels are cheap, but give four-star quality due to the communist standards in Hallad, you’ll also find that it’s not uncommon for Halladi’s to rent out rooms of their own, for cheaper. Those are usually more interesting than hotels, as you eat your meals and generally live with a Halladi family.

Thanks for watching and see you next time on Iuthian Holidays
