New Goliad
11-10-2004, 01:06
AP-Today a bomb exploded in the southern city of Dominica, capital of New Goliad's troubled Andalusia region. The blast killed some 12 people in the predominately Spanish region. The government has blamed the Marxist group Gente de Libertad, but the group has yet to confirm or deny the allegations. Their leader, Hipolito Jimenez, issued only one statement, "A blow has been struck by the forces of freedom against the crumbling capitalist forces. Soon, we may indeed be free." He then went on with the usual Hispano-Marxist dogma, including that the "forces of government apartheid" were about to be struck a death blow. President James Davis has shrugged off these remarks, saying, "It's the same sort of drivel we hear every week. Why should we panic now? Yes, the bomb does make me worry a little, about the punishment these people will recieve if they actually try to revolt." According to reports, the Defense Department has begun increased training of counter-terrorism units.
