Developing Nuclear ICBM's

Since our economy is currently booming at an alarming rate, and our military is exceeding its expectation limits very fast. We are now developing Nuclear ICBM's which are located in 5 silos. Each silo is located in each island. One silo is in Hokkaido, the other is in Honshu, the third is in Kyushu, the fourth is in Okinawa and the last one is located in Tokyo (which is in Honshu), where the main military and economic base is.

OCC - I'm close to 100 million (86 million) so I just started early, and by the way the ICBM's might be fully developed by the time I reach 100 million.

The NS economic calculators that I have worked with would put a "Good" economy, such as that of the Japanese People, at $6000-8000 USD per-capita GDP. Assuming 7000 per capita, the GDP would be $602 billion USD. The Japanese People tax at 60%, so annual government revenue would be 361.2 billion USD. As Defense is not listed as a national priority, I will assume that defense is 5% of the government budget, or $18.06 billion USD.

Normally, this would not be enough to maintain a nuclear weapons program except in the very earliest stages (other branches of the military must be funded as well), but it helps the Japanese People's case that their primary industry is Uranium Mining. This will reduce the cost of the nuke weapons program, so one or (maybe) two nukes would be within reach if the government poured most of its defense budget into nukes. However, 5 nuclear silos and advanced ICBM development is a bit much for a nation of that size and economy.

[OOC]: It's considered an unofficial rule to not have any WMD's until the 100 Million mark. Any time before that is ridiculous, since it's near-impossible for such a small nation to have such powerful weaponry. A comparison would be....let's think...AH!

Imagine two small households that live across the street from each other, who hate each other. Both are throwing rocks and stuff at each other. Simple enough. Now imagine they start breaking out tanks and B-52 bombers. Same sorta thing.

[OOC] How can the nation of yanagi islands have nukes, if they only just started their military funding, these bluffs are quite annoying.

A but are bio weapons simple? I dont see the military launching the common cold every where and about, but they can have had their DNA altered and combined to create a more powerfull weapon.

Sure a nuke can clear quite a area, then leave radiation behind to wander and drift for years, but a bio weapon can destroy a nation if not contained at its beginning.

You people underestimate biological weaponry... I find it much more effective as a weapon though not nearly as intimidating as a nuke. To many processes in making a nuke. Bio weapons can be developed in a simple and easly concealed Labratory. IE you can not detect it like you can the radiation involved in nuke production.

The UK didnt buy the first bombs they had. You have to remember, that when the Brits and French were making nuclear weaponary, it was all new ground. No one had ever made an ICBM when we were still using Avro Vulcans to transport nukes, but now it's more a case of someone catching up. It would be easy for him to develop or buy seemingly innocent missile tech and use it to make an ICBM with relative ease.

[OOC]: Therein lies one of the problems. At a size of 100 million or so, it's assumed that your economy is sufficiently large and stable to allow for the buying of said missle tech and the development of ICBM's, whilst still supplying a cash flow to all other areas of the country. Anything below 100 Million is assumed to simply be too small (And thus poor) to be able to also have the ability to build and maintain such large and powerful weapons, even once they are created.

Actually Taiwan, he can. I was in a thread where he was asking for around 5 trillion yen. 10 posts later and still needing more than 4 trillion yen he said he recieved funds from an unconfirmed source and that the economy and military was booming.

The thread is callded, "Japanes people demand liberty". He was trying to rebel against you but My intelligence agencies brought forward evidence showing his hanus crimes and why he neede liberty.

Basically, Yeah, he cant have nukes.

You cant liberate or be liberated iwthout the other party replying. And you would have to site where teh money came from. Otherwise I could say "Hey, guess what. Some guy came to our capitol and gave us 10 trillion dollars. He then said every year after he would wire us 1 trillion dollars."

No I'm not a dumbass. I would insult you so much that you would cry, but thats called flaming, and I dont want to get on the bad side of the mods.

and secret information has bought to know what Borman and Generic Empire want to annex me

What?!? I can't understand that. To the best of my knowledge you were trying to say you bought information that informed you that Generic Empire and I want to annex you. If so, there is no such kind of information as that. It there was, it would be called, opinion trading. SO either you are making this up lie I think or someone is lying to you and trying to get one of us destroyed. If I wanted to annex you I would. If i wanted to I would send over 10,000,000 to your shores. But you dodnt see me.

Yeah right you can insult me as much until I cry. You need a reality check.

Yes, I can. I have done it before and would if it weren't for something called flaming.

Ahem, fictious? Do you think everything you assume is correct? Again, reality check.

No I dont, but I am rarely wrong. I assume and believe you made up a person. What is to stop you from saying, "I recieved funding from another nation. This nation also sent me a TG telling me Borman wants to invade." Nothing, except for the latter is in no way possible and clearly shows that you are involved with some ficticious things.

And no I don't need a reality check, but thanks for the offer.

And the argument is shut down.

The idea is that people don't start throwing around dirty bombs after three days with an Imploded economy and 7 million people. However, I wouldn't put a monetary limit (look at N. Korea) or population limit (Israel) on it. I put more of a time limit- from when you decide you are starting to when you decide that you are finishing.

And then you have to develop remote delvery.

You at least need the participation of the people occupying you, AND the person aiding you has to say so in the forum.

Matsu Dome
Under the waters off Hokkaido

The docking area was filled to capacity taht day, which was a rare thing; the only other time this had happened was during the war with Japann previously (the nation was spelled Japann, so i didnt spell it wrong).

In the massive docking area, nearly thirty submarines were docked. All of them were assigned to the Islandian Undersea Warfare Force's Red Group command, which patrolled the Northern Pacific.

Commander Nkan watched as crews in temperature suits loaded torpedoes, missiles, and depth charges into the weapons areas of the submarines. Nearby, others worked on the submarine's countermeasures arrays, which were used, with great success, in hiding submarines and rendering them as large marine animals instead of large, cigar-shaped killing machines.

Nkan, the commander of Matsu Dome, had received orders from Red Group headquarters (in PRC China) several days ago to send out submarines to poke around.

As if I hadnt been doing that, he thought. He shrugged, and tapped at the screens.

Three submarines, all of them attack craft, were due to leave for patrol in twenty minutes. The trio were to monitor traffic, and set up sensors on the sea floor.

Nkan sighed, and leaned back. If war ever came, Matsu Dome would be the first to take the brunt of the enemy attack. After all, who could ignore a large, several kilometer wide underwater base, loaded with nearly thirty hostile submarines?

Thank goodness the Japanese didnt know, Nkan thought.

Or did they?
