IC: Once, The Angels of Darkness Empire of Cam III was ruled many systems, millions of light years from any alien settelment. The Empire only came to be known by the masses when it attacked the Shivians. After that battle, the Empire was smashed into oblivion. Thousands of years later the Empire is ready to expand again. The target: The Eastern Galactic Centre.

The Empire had gained allies in the EGC, friends you may say. All this was about to change. The first moves were being made, The War Fleet of Cam III was heading to Orange State. It's objective: complete dominion. Once the fleet and army conqure Orange State, they will head to Selucia...

The God-Emperor Cam III will rule the EGC.

Interrogator-Chaplain Astelan, Supreame Commander of the Cam III navy and army, was standing on the bridge of the flag ship of the fleet. An Eclipse Super Star Destroyer, able to hold a whole Company of Dark Angels.
"How's our heading?" He asked a helms man.
"Fine. We will be entering Orange State space soon.
"Good." Astelan said happily. Soon the largest threat will be out the way. He tought while walking to the Dark Angels assembled on the bridge. Before he got their one of their member stepped forward. The gigantic figure, 7ft tall, was wearing terminater armour. This was thicker and more powerful than normal power armour.
"I am Brother-Librarian Samiel, commander of the company stationed on this ship." He pointed to the surrounding members of his men, also wearing terminater armour, "These are my body guards..."
"That is where your wrong," Astelan intervened, "they are mine."
"Yes my lord." Samiel corrected himself.

As the conversation continued, the fleet was entering OS space. Alarms sounded on every ship. Men ran to battle stations on their respective ships. Smaller trade vessals scattered out of the path of the giant wedge of the ISSD. Any straying too close were destroyed. Within minutes, the fleet would be upon the nerest planet.

As the Star Destroyers behind the Harbringer came into veiw of the planet, the first thousand Thunderhawks had descended to the planet. While the transports left, Astelan was contacting the planets leader.

OOC: you have more small ships and more big ones but few in the middle.

But, how much of that is headed my way?

OOC2: Orange has one other ally in the region, places of darkness. Its pretty dormant as it has been me looking after it for my step brother, but it may join in, as its OS's closest neighbour and is a very simular place. I will need to work out armed forces and things for them before they join though.

OOC: Some background on TPOD

IC; The places of adarkness has long been Ornage state's more backwards neighbour, while the Orange state peolple have long saught to develope and thrive and find their past, the places of darkness has sought to conquer its own people. It's powerful economy and lack of freedoms show that some sucess has been achieved. The places of darkness has less ethics than even the Orange state people however and they have few morals or cares for other. Their technology is often based on Orange state technology but slightly different. Their army is not genetically modified, bar a few elite troops, the grim reapers, and it is known that the places of darkness has experimented on dangerous criminals and psychotics to create suicidal animals who live to kill. They may be the least advanced of the larger EGC nations, and the smallest, but to forget that they are ruthless and almost barbaric would be to forget their biggest strength. They are ruled by whoever can exert most financial influence on the government and see Orange state as potent source of income......

The fleet stationed at the border of Cam and Orange space was not small, but it was hardly a large force. Outnumbered by the Cam fleet and outsized for the large part too, they would have to but time for the fleet to arrive before the planet was lost. The presence of planet destroyers gave the fleet little choice. They couldnt win and didnt want the death of several million Orange state people as result. The fleet admiral began calling for reinforcements, but the Orange state navy would not arrive in time. They simply evacuated the armed forces and went, they woud re take the system later...

Lord Magius was furious, he knew they had no choice, but he had lost one of his most profitable trading ports. With the links to Cam severed by sddent threats and annexing, he knew he would have to muster all his forces for the decimation of the Cam fleet. But he could not stand alone.

He sent a message to the places of darkness asking for their help. Apart from continual putting down of rebellions the places army was inexperienced, but it would help, he just hoped that they saw it as a big enough loss to have Orange state taken over by the leftist Cam empire. (left compaired to Orange state or the places of darkness, dont read too much into that)

An ancient hundred year old allegence written in cheques and mutual gain was to be tested and Cam would be the one to do so.

He made a transmission to Cam and to the entire EGC standing in a mighty podium, a tower to a normal man and glared at the camera with his white unfeeling eyes.

" We have no idea what has come over your nation and we ask for peace. However do not think that our people will bow to you, the rest of this war will not be so one sided. We ready our forces as i speak, step down, our allies have been called. Furthermore i ask all those who consider the EGC to be a pace of trading stability that we restore this. No nation shall interfere with ours. Fight alongside us"

Magius readied his forces and his most trusted commander boarded his flagship. Orange was going to war.

OOC: my only other system in easy reach is the home one, where you will find my entire armed forces.

OOC: Think of this RP as a training one, but it is serious. I don't expect to win, but hey, I'm used to it :).

Astelan watched as the military for this area flee. He laughed in their cowardice. I hope you come back, I'll be waiting.

Meanwhile, the 40 ISD and the escorts left for Sephrioth, hoping for an alliance. All that was left to protect the planet 20 ISDs and 1 ISSD....

OOC: Last post for night!

Magius watched the scanners as the Orange fleet began gathering round the planet. It hadnt been assembled in one place for a long time and the size amazed Magius even though he had been there for every ship's construction.

The new power supplies had only been fitted to the largets ships and his capital fleet was going to be well below the specs it could have been.

"If only Id known" mused Magius, Id have fitted that a year earlier, hurried it with more budget. "But once Cam finishes pacifying my planets in our space, they will be here in hours". But Cam had forgotten one thing, Magius knew Cam space too. But that didnt matter now. All he had to do was smash the enemy in his space. He would spring several traps at one and then counterattack cautiously.

A police corvette flew close by the fleet, and he smiled. The law of Orange state would be maintained in his borders...

OOC: Who're you helping seph?

IC: Astelan watched as ships fled the planet below, Orange State had abanded them. They dare to ignore me?! I will show them that I am serious! Astelan thought while hovering his finger over the 'big red button'.
"How's my baby?" He asked his most senior gunnery crew.
"She's fine, ready to fire."
"I am pleased with your progress. You may escape death after all." He turned to the comms, "Fire at will!"

Deep in the ship alarms were ringing, the sign of the laser being powered up. Within an hour the planet below will be void of life and uninhabital for ever. [See 'Cam III's navy for more info.] Meanwhile where the laser was held, the compartments had been evacuated. The immense heat which was released was unberable, even to power armoured warriors.

Minutes after the words "Fire at will!" were uttered from Astelan's mouth, the laser had fired. In the first moments it had ignited the oxygen, killing all flora and fauna....

The ships in T-Space remained watching the movements of the Sephriothian fleet. They made lengthy reports of his tactics and observed weaknessess. They also did this with any who might be enemies which might be fought in the future.

'target the oregnge fleet and fire the hades lasers' now the commander ordered.
'aye sir' the lasers were fired.

OOC: Seph, wait. You havent entered my system. My fleet is waiting two planers into my home system. The other two planets are a gas giant and a rock with a few miners on and a few sattelites that are presently powered down.

IC: Magius fumed, he had lost several million workers depsite complying with the Cam people. Some had attempted to flee the planet, though undoubtably some sme were shot by the camian fleet. Many just left for free space and ran. ())C: how much effot does your fleet make shooting them down, theres a few hundred unarmed vessels trying to escape)

He sent the message "we surrendered so you would spare our people, but you still killed them. This is total war, as of today we are mobilising all our forces, your planet shall be bombed into oblivion or we shall be all but wiped out trying".

The Orange state fleet waited for the enemy, but first ships began to approach from a different vector.

The places of darkness navy had arrived. A large number of small agile vessels sat ready to follow the orders of the Orange state's more experienced tacticians.

200 corvettes, 150 destroyers, 80 frigates, 2 carriers and 5 dark cruisers (missile ships) sat among a large fleet of over 1000 fighters. They pulled up and waited.

The enemy approaching, the tension was tangible in the silence that raneg through the comms channels. All waited.

OOC: RP you next move, im going to respond before anyone shoots, so dont start firing lasers of an unknonw number and size at me, just move in or declare you will attack something. BUt if you reach the fleet, they will react first.

And yes this OS, Im babysitting my step brothers nation and I feel as it is the only actual ally my nation has it would help. Normally id feel bad doing this, but its not puppetwanking, as i didnt create this nation to butress my strength, i didnt even create it.

Astelan watched on the scanners as the O.S fleet moved to join the TPoD's fleet. Hmm, I think we have this in a bag.
"Order the entire fleet out here, save for the planetery defense force!"
"Yes my lord."
Within hours of this order, the entire might of the Camian navy had been mobalized at the destroyed planet, all 400 ships. Hell would come to Orange State...

THe Orange state fleet remained still. Powered up and ready. Sephrioth was was approaching in force and Cam would be there soon.

Seph sensors would pick pick up my fleet. The planet outside my fleet contains little active electronics or activity. There are a few objects orbiting the planet but they are also giving off very litte energy. The dark Places fleet is simular to the Orange one but on the whole smaller and faster.

OOC: eek. Um I planning my exile from my own region here. Not only am I under attack from two larger nations at once, with an ally half my size to help. But now offers of help!

And some of my force is off in another system fighting an unknown enemy.

Ah well. Im gonna die with my boots on, and then run away when I get thrashed.

OOC: Wow, my empire WILL return. Brilliant.

IC: The Camian fleet came to a halt just as the Sephiroth fleet arrived. Both shimmered in the light from the now doomed sun. If only they surrendered, those fools. Astelan thought while ordering the ISDs forward. When the ISDs started to cause havoc, the cruisers would come in and finish the fleet off. But, the battle winner would be the ISSD. With the fire it can throw around, the OS fleet might as well as give up.
"Are we in firing range?" Astelan asked.
"Yes," a senior officer reported, "shall I fire upon the enemy?"
"Certianly. Lets find out what these ships can do."

As the only recently build ISDs plowed forward the ISSD opened fire with all it's might. Thousands upon thousands of lasers, torpedos and thermo-nuclear torpedos streaked their way to the enemy fleet. The ISDs added their weight to the fire with a thousand more projectiles headed towards the enemy. The cruisers then opened fire with Iron Halo super lasers, hundreds of them. Bombardment after bombardment went the way of the OS fleet/TPoD's fleet.

(moments earlier)

Radlung the commander sat and waited, then suddenly the event happened.

"they pass the point, do it"

At that point accross the dead planet three hundred police corvettes fired engines and began rising through the atmosphere. within seconds they were free of the planet's gravity and able to attack, as the Cam fleet drew into range and attacked, the 300 ships (OOC:corvettes bear in mind not fighters) headed for the enemy running over it fighter style, firing their 300 G class lasers apon itheir sheilds, each unloading a heavy fighter, which loosed its missiles apon the ship moments later and then began firing apon the sheilds before the missiles arrived.

THe fleet flew through the cam fleet and attempted (OOC: tried, im guessing they will all be destroyed.. some will be shot down before they even shoot you) to meet the main Orange fleet.

As the strike arrived Arcanus cold and cracked voice could be heard throughout the comms.

The mighty OAG cannon of the 5 Armaggeddon class cruisers began firing apon the ISDs, the huge slow targets taking 4 or 5 hits from the mighty cannon (OOC:we are talking 3 million tonne displacement for the gun alone) from each volley. Taking full advantage of the chaos. (hehe, 1 hit from an OAG will tear a fully sheilded light cruiser in half... its just that hitting a light cruiser is too hard for them, the gun is designed for targets like ISDS) They fired apon the battered ships one by one.

(OOC: okay thats disadvantage of big ships/planet killers, I made big guns to pulverise them with)

the rest of the fleet unleashed torpedos and missiles at range firing their own countermeasures apon the enemy shots before closing to attack the enemy fleet.

(can you give me numbers of weapons and what attacks what? My torpedos are just indiscriminately homing inot the front of your fleet. there are approx 2000 1 tonne payload missiles, attacking whatever is at the fromt of your fleet) (i''l resolve the lasers in a later post)

The smaller Places of darkness fleet begins firing its weapons at the largest camian ships. Gliding above the fleet the places of darkness fleet began to accelerate over the Cam fleet while firing apon the largest vessels. Staying out of laser range, but firing missiles apon the Cam fleet in large numbers, another 500 missiles were rained apon the Camian vessels, while the corvettes began firing smaller missiles into the enemy fighters. All the while the fleet were accelerating to make themselves hard targets and pass the huge Cam fleet.

OOC: Post damage of first attack :).

IC: As the ISDs plowed into the OS/TPoD fleet[Not ramming, you know what I mean.], there was a massive retliation. Lasers of all descriptions came everywhich way. The ISD shields held up under this attack, but not for much longer. The cruisers on the other hand. They were not so lucky. The heavier lasers went straight for them, ripping them to shreds. At least 24 perished in the intial attack. The ISSD fared far better. The OAG lasers only scratched the shields. They were the most powerful in the region. [Damn I spent a lot on them.:(]

A full scale bombardment was launched again, the smae amount of muntions were sent the OS way....

OOC: when you can, specific targets and numbers (like, class A lasers (do this) at friagtes, fighters at bombers etc), if not, never mind. But Im not in a hurry. And there will be ships exploding without a doubt.

Ot just how its spread, front of fleet, back, big ships, one at a time etc...

Did you do the proper research for the technology?

OOC: one big missile? you know what will happen to that with all my anti missile defences and stuff on my ships dont you? good.

Remember Cam.. what you shooting at? My fleet is moderately tight and the sphis are spread around the fleet evenly. Im shooting the bog vessels with most weapons and then anything else at the front of your fleet.

IC: The thousands of lasers plowed into the cam fleet as the cam bombardment began tearing into the Orange state ship's sheilds. Several vessles lasting mere seconds of the bombardment

(OOC: OAGS are no joke, i think focused on one ISD at a time they would do more than scratch the sheilds... maybe not much more, but my ships mounting those cost me $120bn each, they arent cheap junk either)

IC: hundred of corvettes from the abush were torn apart quickly all perishing in the first salvoes of Cam fire. The fire ffrom the rest of the fleet destroying four corvettes in the main fleet almost instantly. The sheilds and armour of four destroyers and five friagates ripped apart almost instanty. Only a single light cruiser was destroyed, its crew ejecting first. WHile another two were badly damaged. Reports of sheild damage and systems damage rang through the comms, but the remainder of the Orange state fleet continued its retaliation.

The destroyers (120 approx) flew of formation out firing over 480 torpedos breaking and banking away before firing again into the ISDs, firing their smaller weapons at enemy fighters. Harassing them one at a time.

Over 1000 bombers with 3000 light fighters and 2000 heavy fighters as escorts swept accross to the ISDs, while the Orange state's main fleet corvettes followed focusing their fire apon the enemy fighters (their weapons are designed to pick fighters off and they arent much less manoeverable or fast)

The main battleships, frigates and cruisers of the Ornage fleet continued to pound the main cam fleet, focusing on the centre of the Cam fleet.

The whole Orange state fleet moved towards it firing missiles and torpedos into the centre, the fighters and bombers using the chaos created to begin their attack run where a gap first appeared in the enemy fleet, aiming for the ISDs that were showing sheild damage from previous attacks, but werent under fire at the time. Swarming them like locusts and firing apon them before moving on to the next. The bombers dropping 500Kg plasma bombs apon the target. (OOC: how long to destroy one ISD like this, and what are the defences, plus what;s your response... I will start posting casualties from these when I know these, so I will know how many targets they damage/cripple/kill... maybe one... maybe more.. maybe just a bit of damage.. but bear in mind exactly how many bombs and smaller lasers are being poured apon your sheilds) Weapons, defenses and engines were the main target, if the weapons failed to penetrate the shell, the bombers would flatten the surface (ie maybe not destroy but disable) and move on.

OOC: ISDs have thousands of lasers which are for destroying bombers/fighters. It would take a lot to destroy an ISD. The OAG thing, they were directed at the ISSD. It would take at least 50 of them to destroy the shields. Some hit the ISDs, which I will show ater.

IC: The cruisers were ordered forward, as cannon fodder. They took most of the punishing bombardment, their numbers whittled down to 10. The projectiles which got past the cruisers slammed into the ISDs, destroying one because of the OAG lasers and crippling another. The ISSD plowed straight froward launching thousands of salvos at OS ships, any ship which couldn't get away from the ISSD was hit, causing some damage to the shields.

The bombers swarmed over the closest ISD, fighting past it's shields with most of their bombs. They caused some superstructure damage to the upper hull...

hundreds of bombers and fighters fell over the first ship, having done what damaeg they could to the defences and weapons and engines they flew to the next.

The Orange state fleet flew into the gap in the cam fleet and began pouring heavy fire into the remaining cruisers. A mighty Overlord battleships split in two uner the intense fire and three cruisers were crushed, while a further 10 corvettes and 8 destroyers were quickly crushed. 4 light cruisers and two light carriers began firing only to crumble as hundreds of lasers tore them to shreds. But the bombardment continued.

The main small space force left, the carriers began laucnhing anopther simular sized force of smaller vessels, this time swarming out of the cam fleet and diving back in on the outside, while the main fleet pounded the inside. Attempting to trap the main Cam fleet. The ISDs lasers crushing the bridge of a grand cruiser, leaving its half mile long structure intact, but its weapons undirected and the vessel drifting.

The Orange class cruisers unleashed their boarding vessels apon the stricken ISD, 300 vessels flying into it (OOC: My small ships left its defenses crippled etc) each loaded with marines.

The destroyer group lost another three vessels as it turned and re launched apon the targets of the OAG lasers.

Cam IV stood up, seeing the defensless OS home system. [I know that you have plantery defences, but the MOST of your fleet is here.]
"Get us out of here! Leave the Cruisers and ISDs! Take us into OS space, full power to rear shields!"
The ISSD powered away from the conflict, some of the OS ships tried in vain to stop it. Hudreds of lasers were poured into them. It headed into the OS system, to reek it's havoc....

The OAG lasers destroyed one ISD and crippled two others. The Cruisers had disengaged, but were cut down by a cross fire from the larger OS vessals. The 14 ISDs were soon swarmed by bombers and fighters, the did their handy work. 2 more ISDs were left defensless, cut to shreads by the OS ships. The fighting ISDs fired thousand more torps and lasers into the larger OS vessals, disregarding the smaller ones.

The ISD which was getting boarded by OS men had evacuated the vital personnal. The 100 Black Templars on board rushed to defend the ship. If this technolgy got in to OS hands would be very bad.....

OOC: this is happening in my system. Or thats where my fleet was waiting earlier.

And yes, stealing your tech. that was part of the aim of this mission.

IC: Of the 100 vessels sent to the ships, 70 were able to discourge 10 warriors each. 700 Ornage state warriors began their work, firing their pusle cannon in to anything that moved. The sealed armour of the warriors was a fearsome as that of the black templars and where they met, the genetically enhanced warriors clashed. Amongst them Arcanus Radlung, the commander and 10 engineers. THe engineers using small computers to scan whatever they could and send the data back home, while Radlung led the forces.

He drew his blade and a small sheild zipped around it (our sheilds dont disintegrate things, they send them away, but the old designs do and this is one of those) and he began swinging his monomolecular kantana round for the black templars that came close.

The Orange fleet was close to home, and sensing the attempt at breakout they followed the cam fleet (remember we are home, and near to planets so its just normal engines.) the engines of the smaller vessels like the remaining destroyers allowing them to pursue the slower vessels of the Cam forces and launch torpedos into their engines, while firgates punded the smaller vessels.

The rest of the Orange fleet was thrown into dissaray by the fierce counterattack. Another battlship and two collosus carriers were destroyed, and their debris was joined by the shards of the larger cruisers that were hit. Ten were lost to the Cam fire. THe Ornage fleet's larger vessles took a moment to regroup, and as the smaller vessels chased the Cam fleet they began to accelerate after them. But many were left behind damaged, and the remains of Ornage state's fleet readied themselves for the final confrontation.
THe fleet that followed the smaller ships was 2 Overlord battleships, 3 Armageddon, 2 Orange class, 4 Grand cruisers, 3 Collosus, 13 C class cruisers, 25 D class light cruisers and 10 D class carriers, accompanied by the smaller vessels and floods of smaller ships. This was the remains of Orange's military.

On Orange hundreds of escape vessels left the surfact every minute as the Cam fleet approached, shooting off into space and awaiting the result of the battle. More continued to flee as the Camian forces drew near...

Meanwhile In a desparate gamble, several hundred small transports readied themselves and assembled in space. Loaded with troops they knew most would not suceed in their mission, but a few could suceed.

OOC: Where is this taking place? Interstellar space? Within one of OS's systems?

Also, if you read the post, Cam pushed past the fleet. That means to fire upon him you had to be behind the OS fleet, something you never posted.

The ships within T-Space continue to observe, waiting for the call to action.

so i presume thats where we are, as my little corvette trap (argh, thats about half my police lost... going to have to use martial rule when this dies down for a few years) wouldnt have worked otherwise. I sat a few hundred powered down corvettes on the planet and they powered up and attacked on Cam's passing the planet. hence he isnt far from my home planet. He's making a bold move for my home planet but hes now stuck between my defenses and a large number of small army transports, on one side, and about half of my navy on the other (the rest is crippled or space dust)

The placesa of darkness flew over strafing him, but I havent used them recently. Which means they will be making a move when I can think of something to do. They passed over the Cam fleet, so in theory they are behind him. TPOD are faster than OS too.

The Imperial Watchers continue to track and analyize the ships and their weaknesses.

"Get a firing resolution in case we are called into action. Target reactors, command bridges, weapon bays, and engines. If we get called into action, I want to cripple or destroy as many ships as possible in one suprise attack."

"Yes Sir! More ships are arriving to back us up if we are needed."

"Excellent, we only have to wait"

OOC: Yeah, my fleet is pushing further into your system. :)

IC: The lasers bounced off the powerful rear shields of the ISSD. The ISD's halted and came to a new heading, facing the OS fleet. They again launched a withering barrage of plasma and torpedos into the OS ships. The ISSD plowed further in, firing thousands of lasers and plasma bolts into ships.

As the Os fleet began to arrive, the flock of smaller vessels flew for the ISDs, the 600 (well I said several hundred, this os gonna cripple me but never mind) small vessels flew out and began attempting to dock with 5 of the ISD's 120 vessels per ISD. Each containing a few warriors. (OOC: how much effort are you making stopping them)

Radlung, aboarsd the striken ISD, hoped the desparate gamble would pay off, as he carved into a black templar. They were fighting bravely, but were roughly equally matched to his men, who outnumbered them 7 to 1. (OOC: what happened on the first ISD I boarded?)

The main Orange fleet began focusing its entire firepower apon the unassailed ISDs one at a time. The remaining battleships and cruisers turning to face the ISDs fired a salvo of torpedos at the first target, calculated to arrive within 1 second of eachother by the ships computers, (not just the destroyers this time) over 1000 torpedos streaked to the target. The computers began calculating the next strike while the fleet continued firing.

The corvettes being fastes adbsorbed the worst opf then ISD's fire, about 60 crumbled quickly, while of the remaining 70 destroyers, 20 more were scattered as debris around the Ornage system. A couple of frigates were crippled as the main fleet arrived behind it.

OOC: Lots of effort to stop fighters et al. There are special lasers which deal with them. The first ISD you boarded was overrun by your men, it's yours.... :(

IC: Two more ISDs fell to the fire power of the OS fleet, the others appering unscathed. The ISSD plowed onwards, destroying more smaller vessals. The ISDs had recovered from their assault and fired another salvo, one ISD fired at the boarded ship, blowing out most of the aft hull. The ISSD neared a planet with a large population, it readied it's warriors, 10 grand companys. 2 million Space Marines with support vehicles....

OOC: will do a proper response later. But the only well populated planet here is my home planet. I will work out defense activity and the landing of my boarding attempts soon.

OOC: Bump.

As the Cam fleet approached the planet several sattelites began to track them. These huge platforms waited a short while before opening up and charging several weapons. A hail of O class lasers sliced into the lead ISD first as 12 large weapons platforms began firing apon the sheilds of it. Each firing 6 lasers in rapid sucession into the large vessel, much faster than the ships could manage. Several large missiles fired apon the vessel also each much larger than standard capital class weapons. Huge explosions covering the sheilds/hull of the target.

The boarding vessels suffered heavy losses landing on unassailed vessels first, landing in different numbers, with 20 men on each. 20 landing on one vessel, 35 on another, 7 landed on a third vessel, 42 on the fourth and 18 on the fifth. The warriors prepared to board, readying the portable plasma cannon and moving out....

OOC: Seph has left the system, no resistance from him. Yay. And none from the other nations in the EGC. Except you and Chaos Imperium...

IC: As the weapons platforms dbombarded ISDs, the ISSD had begun teleporting millions of warriors on to the planets surface. Shortly followed by vehicles....

The ISDs sufered horribly, the blasts from the weapons platforms had destroyed most sheilds, and some ships. About 2 ISDs had been destroyed, leaving 6 left and 1 ISSD. The cruisers had been destroyed or disengaged.... The ISDs soon retaliated with more salvos of lasers and torps...

Thousands of TIEs and TIE bombers departed from their respective ISD and ISSD, engaging the boarding ships and fighters. The TIE bombers headed towards the smaller OS ships, strafing them as they went....

OOC: I am still watching in case it is taken to Prospero. I was hoping Seph would do something stupid...

As the Cam troops began arriving on the planet surface, the remaing Orange state armed forces dug in. They were outnumbered by 3 to 1, but they were also sitting tight.

The Ornage fleet scrambled the remaing few thousand heavy fighters and light fighters to defend against the tie, but the most effective anti fighter weaponry was the 100 remaining corvettes, almost matching them for speed and agility, but out gunning the fighters and carrying much more sheilding also, they sliced through the small sheilds and armour easily, but they were also out numbered.

The ships began firing anti fighter missiles into the tie force, over 1000 missiles launched in at them, hoping to weaken the force, while the corvettes and fighters closed. 100 corvettes, 1200 light fighters and 4000 heavy fighters closed for the final deadly dogfight.

Several more of the smaller Ornage ships took the heavy impacts, a grand cruiser also sucuumbing to the cam firepower. four frigates, and a further eight destroyers perishing, while aboard the two light cruisers, power was lost and the ships disabled. One of the last Ornage cruisers, a C class, was crippled, losing many weapons and much manoeverability to the firepower.

Though many torpedos were intercepted by defensive missiles and turrets, the firepower was immense.

The fleet once again regrouped and fired a smaller, but still might torpedo volley into the ISSD, while OAGs class lasers strafed it.

The OAG lasers and other projectiles impacted on the ISSD's shields, reducing them to 10%. Within 10 minutes the entire force had been placed ont he ground, while more vehices and command posts were dropped. The Marines on the ground had created a safe landing zone, all life exterminated in a one mile radius. But they will need to expand....

The 6 ISDs had created a small, but useful, 'defence semi-circle' around the ISSD, to protect it from anymore incoming fire. The ISDs were battered and many had no shields, but they were not going to give up without a fight.... 2 more ISDs had been destroyed by OS fire, but it was not over yet. Thousand more lasers and torps speeded there way to the OS vessals...

The dog fight going on was immense, hundreds of fighters from both side had been destroyed in the first few minutes. But there were more OS fighters than TIEs. And corvettes. The TIE bombers strafed more ships while the TIEs engaged the fighters. From the planet, it was as if all hell had broke lose in the sky. They had no idea what was to come....

The mighty battleship, Overlord class "Imperious" was taking a heavy pounding, sheilds on the verge of collapse and many damaged systems. The crew evacuated leaving a handfull on board and the captain steeled himself for a bold move.

Grimacing as he took the controls of doomed ship, he began accelerating towards the ISSD, the huge 6 million tonne ships acclerated towrds the target, but an ISD sat in the way. He began communicating with the fleet. Every missile torpedo and laser weapon in the larger ships of the fleet, turned apon the path Imperious was taking and a streak of fire and explosions aimed at clearing the path for a kamikaze attack streaked fowards. The torpedos were armed and loaded but not fired in the imperious as its 12 tubes would be the first thing to touch the target, causing a large explosion driven in by 6 million tonnes of metal. Though if the path wasnt cleared the captain would have to abort and turn round. But for now he was steering the largest ever torpedo for its target.

The smaller vessels clearly gaining the upper hand banked and dived, suffering casualities in the hundreds every minute as the dogfight continued, while the smaller number of corvettes proved the crucial element in the dogfight, proving their place in what ever remained of Orange state military doctrine for hundreds of years to come.

The fleet lost a further 10 frigates, 8 destroyers and 6 light cruisers as well as 2 cruisers, 2 hive carriers and a collosus super carrier to the massive firepower. The damage mounting up on the tired and depeleted fleet.

On land the Orange army manovered itself in order to seal of the area where the Cam army had landed and sat in defensive positions, bunkers and turrets sticking between their thin line. Armour behin it in regiments like fists ready to strike out and flak and artillery dotted along the front adding to the strength.

The ISD which took the entire OS fleets power was breaking apart at the seems. Large chunks were spinning to the planet, a shell was all that was left. Another couple of torps/lasers would decimate it forever...

The ISSD had finaly depleated it's cargo, and it's shields were up to 47%. It fired another volly at the incoming starship, some projectiles hitting the ISD, blowing it to kingdom come. But hundreds of lasers and other projectiles streaked their way towards the Overlord. This battle was nearly over...

There were a few hundred TIEs left. They were still fighting well, not giving any quarter. But the numberless OS fighters would soon win. This fight was only a distraction from the bigger picture, the ISSD....

On the ground, the Marines had started to push forward, but were met by deadly resistance. Thousands died in the first bombardment, but there was more to come.....

Four destroyers fired their torpedos into the striken ISD, 16 in all slamming into it and exploding...

The Overlord accelerated, towards its target, all the fire falling apon the it causing ot to crumble and break up, large segments detatching, but through sheer momentum and speed, it continued towards the target. Arriving in bits and slamming into the target. The effectivess would be reduced significantly but the chunks rained apon the shields of the ISSD and the torpedos detonated as they hit it.

The Orange fleet took advantage of the gap and significant impact and began pouring all their firepower into the weakened ISSD.

The Ornage state fighter fleet had nearly mopped up the opposition, the corvettes and heavy fighters outnumbering theenemy fighters by a small amount, the light fighters were able to break and head down for Ornage state. Three hundred anf fifty light fighters descending to the surface, while the heavy fighters powerful guns and sheildsand corvettes huge fighter swatting G class began tearing into the last fighters. The remaining 70 corvettes and seven hundred heavy fighters (OOC: i had less but they tend to die a lot more slowly than light fighters thanks to rear mounted turrets and bigger sheilds and some armour, which light ones dont have) firing missiles into the tie fleet.

As the chunks of the ship impacted on the ISSD, the occupents were slewed everywhere, hundreds dead. As the torps exploded the shields failed and a massive chain reaction took place, thousnads of defense turrets and other lasers on the aft side exploded. This caused massive superstructure damage to most decks on that side. As more fire poured into it and the ISDs, they ran away, *ahem* I mean disengaged, from the fight. To live another day... (Cue the screams "OH MY GOD! RUN AWAY!")

As the ground battle roared on the TIEs had been wiped out to a fighter. Thousands died in this battle, which will be recorded in both nations history books....

The light fighters and handfull of remaining Ornage state bombers took advantage of the lack of opposition and entered the plaenet's atmosphere, their engines propelling them like heavily armed fighter and bomber jets.

The light fighter's cannon were still powerful laser and a threat to any tank, while the few remaining plasma bombs were dropped on the largest blocks of cam forces that were not in direct conflict.

Orange state tanks waited riding out were the lines were threatened countering the enemy attacks by plowing in and running over infantry while firing their lasers apon the enemy tanks.

Dozens of support platforms floated overhead dropping plasma missiles and firing twin 20mm rotary pulse cannon apon the enemy (think anti grav helicopter gunship) apon the attacking Cam forces.

The Orange state infantry sat well entrenched and decimated the enemy with their potent cannon.

Half a million of them sat in position, losing tens of thousands to each wave, but they stood firm.

As bombs and what-not dropped on the marines many were killed. At least 10,000 ahd no been killed. Not much of a dent. As they surged forward, the OS small arms fire came to bear, killing some more marines. As the first wave of Space Marines came to the OS trenchs, the sky turned red as blood shed from both sides....

Bump.

The Orange state troopers fired apon the marines as they approached aiming for the heads, knowing that even with their might pulse cannon they would need luck to kill the enemy in one hit. The unit's heavy weapons began firing, as hundreds of twin linked 30mm pulse cannon were brought to bear, the heavier shells capable of punching through even the mark 2 power armour of both sides more easily and the humming of hundreds of guns could be heard.

As the marines approached the lines a behind them the Tower warriors sat in their APCs waiting.

The bolts of plasma and shells came crashing into the Space Marines, many fell to the fire power. As soon as the felling ended the Marines brought their own heavy weapons to bear. Hundreds of missiles and plasma bolts went the way of the enemy...

Behind the wave of Space Marines were the AT-TBC (All terrian terror bombardment cannon, orignal eh?), which started to fire their leathal payloads. Thousands of missiles landed on enemy and friends alike....

The powerful plasma bolts hit many men scorching and frying them on the occasions they hit the eyes, but as the army sat behind temporary fortifications and permanent defensive structures many shots also did little more than burn the cover.

The fighters, spotting the ATBC flew in firing their remaing few intellegent missiles (think high powered tracking missiles with a crude AI) at them and then descended in firing their powerful lasers apon them.

In space the light cruisers, heavy fighters and destroyers attempted to pursue the Cam vessels to the edge of the system, harassing them and trying to make last kills before they jumped. WIth their high speed they hoped to be able to pour fire into the retreating Cam vessels.

Meanwhile the mighty OAG laser turned towards the surface. And analysed targets. And the large missiles of the captial ships were aimed at simular targets.

(OOC: if you have any really large targets or large groups of troops, this big laser is being used in its third role, orbital bombardment. ANy Cam titans are first on the list for my 3million tonne cannon. Then any spare troops which will reinforce your lines.

Basically any troops of yours not already in combat are getting hammered by these large weapons. The idea is that I kill your lines of reserves and remove your number advantage before I play my final... well maybe final card...

As the carnage continued at the front, a giant laser scorched the ground and vaporised 28 men and 2 Titans. As the laser finished, the Titans moved forward. They crushed many men under foot, friendly and enemy. They reached the front line and fired their hurricane bolters (Much more poweful than normal bolters, the bolts are the size of your arm) and plasma cannons (More powerful than smaller plasma weapons, can desroy a tank). Eventully the Space Marines entered combat, this would be a fight to watch. The best warriors in the system, fighting each other.....

Meanwhile, at the edge of OS space. The last Imperial Star Destroyer to leave OS space was shot down by OS ships, a critical hit to the engines. At least 8 ISDs escaped. Enough to protect Prospero....

OOC: Im not worried about prospero. You have balrogga to protect you. However Im now In an alliance, so I feel fairly safe now anyway.

Secondly the best in the system? two things.. onethey equal any other warrior in the galaxy. Secondly, my tower warriors havent moved in. yet...

IC: The Titans moved in and the huge weapons of the fleet targeted them from above. The last few missiles targeted them as did their laser weaponry.
Tanks were flipped by their mighty firepower and Othe Ornage state armour began to take heavy losses. The Orange state artiller y began to fire huge missiles and plasma sheels apon the titans (OOC: we are talking a few thousand one shot biiiig missiles at the titans)

As the space marines charged the Ornage state infantry knew their equals had arrived, at which point the reserves of 50000 tower armoured warriors drove up and dismounted their APCs a few hundred metre from the battle line. They rushed foward and began to counter attack. Meanwhile their brethren were entangled against almost twice their number of space marines, desparately fighting for their lives.

Among the melee the mighty veterans in their enhanced armour revved their energised saw blades and lay into the cam space marines like giants even among the huge and mighty foe they faced.

(OOC:tower warriors are gene boosted twice, which makes them bigger and faster than even Orange state troops).

Many Titans were crushed beneth the power of the orbital weapons. The rest carried on laying seige to the trenchs and bunkers. The Space Marines used their numircal advantage, outnumbering the Tower Warriors and Vetrens. MAny Sapce Marines were killed, but more kept coming....

OOC: I have been dropping lots of orbital weapons on your "Lots that keep coming" if your navy wishes to run away that is fine, but your marines have no support or supplies and nothing to stop me.

IC: As more space marines gathered ready to take the the place of each fallen warrior, Orange state needed something to pull things round. The navy fired their remaining weapons on the titans and the marines that werent within half a mile of the front, while the fighters continued to attack the titans with their numbers in the hundreds. Their rapid lasers raining apon the titans sheilds and armour in an almost constant stream.

The Orange state warriors were still outnumbered and tired, but the might of the tower warriors had been a boost. Origianlly six hundred thousand warriors has manned the line, firepower and enemy supprt had taken it below 400000 and now even with the tower warriors there was around half of that left.

Still outnumbered drastically the troops had to withdraw. The troops fought back to their APCs and as 4000 Orange state battle tanks rode into the enemy infantry accross the lines, firing, hoping to hold the enemy beack before retreating, they placed charges in the line of defense and fled.

The bunkers would and barricades and sandbags would be destroyed before the enemy could use them.

As the forces made their retreat, they threw the entire of the army's anti infantry tanks inot the enemy. Powerful 40mm AFDSabot shells were thrown into the enemy infantry, larger versions of the Ornage state infantry weapon, which had been designed to make a mockery of even power armour.

The huge tanks approached the enemy firing constantly in to the huge number assembled before them.

The orbital weapons slammed down on to the makeshift base, killing many and destroying the tents and what-not. The heavy weapon salvos killed 57 Marines and toppled 1 titan. The fighters swarmed around the other titans, destroying another. As the OS warriors retreated, the Marines stopped and regrouped, just before shells landed in their midst, killing hundreds more. Soon, the Marines had dispersed and were heading for the retreating OS warriors then, suddenly, tanks appered and began to pound the Marines. Many more were crushed beneth the tanks and by shells. The Marines, now 1,106,000, were chasing APCs to the OS lines. They stopped just as the lines blew up, killing more men. The Marines soon consolodated their won ground and started to 'tank-hunt'....

OOC: as far as I can tell, while you men outnumber me, you cant have many supplies, as you have no ships to deliver and I struck your base with what was left of my naval ordnance.

IC:

Still outnumbered 2 to one the Ornage state warriors stood and regrouped, as they gathered again, their APCs just ahead and the few remaining battletanks grouped between them, the anti infatntry tanks began to retreat, over 1000 of them were destroyed by the space marines quick reaction and more as they retreated. They rejoined the lines and prepared for another defence. This time they had to think of something more effective than their previous tactics to stop the marines. The Orange state navy was pretty much powerless to act now but the troops had one advantage. The space marines could win a war of attrition, but not one with a lot of equipment.

They rearmed and reloaded, having fallen back onto supplies, before the supplies fell back. The mrines were unsupported on the planet now no fleet to bring more, and many supplies left. But for now they had to make the marines waste their ammuntion.

Light fighters continued buzzing round and hitting the remaining titans, before strafing marines. They had large numbers of weaker lasers, but with their fusion reactors could fight until their pilots fell asleep. They continued working to make sure that there was less marines for the ground forces to deal with.

Meanwhile in space, one transport flew down to the surface of the planet.

If all else failed they had one way to stop all the space marines. However the cost would be horrific. In case it was used, the few remaining vessels prepared the few thousand spare warriors they had for landing in the aftermath.

It was going to be a terrible day for Orange state whatever happened.

OOC: Yeah, no supplys. Meh, I'l win anyways. Joking, :)....

IC: After the Marines destroyed the remaing tanks, they regrouped and held their position. This was just outside of the blown up trenches and defenses. The 5 Titans rampaged on, 1 being destroyed by fighters. They ran into the OS men....

Around the smoking remains of the makeshift base were some marines, which were searching for surviving equipment. They found none, the OS lasers were very presice from their altittude....

The Marines waited for the OS men to make the first move....

With battle stopped for a short moment, the Orange state troops began setting heavy weapons up ready for the marines to come in range. The troops loaded their weapons and pointed them at the possible targets and waited. Tanks scanned for targets, while the engineers and workers fell to making sure that all armour and equipement was working, making quick repairs to anything that wasnt performing within an acceptable tolerance.

The artillery began bombarding the mairnes with plasma shells, while the reloaded missiles began targeting tanks and titans.The remaining 4000 of each artillery began firing apon the enemy with remarkable accuracy, but then it was their home and they had mapped it out....

OOC: I remembered something which might break the deadlock, the places of darkness havent made a move yet. I think I have just the thing.

OOC: the force im about to unleash is based on an idea my stepbrother, foudner and rightful owner of this nation had. For now Im babysitting it, he would help me at war as we are allied, Ive already posted that they are close to the planet.

These troops are criminals of any sort and dangerous lunatics. They are tortured and experimented on, kept in the harshest of conditions and raised to be strong and insane. They are wired up with a smallish but powerful bomb which can be detonated by their handlers in groups of 25.

In battle they have shocks built in if they turn the wrong way and are told by speakers in their transports and shown images of who brings them pain. They run like sub human cattle, weilding brutal sharpened blades to their enemy unerringly. The rest of the details will become apparent later.

IC: THe places of darkness transport ships suddenly launched a small fleet of small personnel transports. over 4000 of them each carrying 50 men landed between the forces. Opened the doors and took off to a safe height.

In this short moment anyone watching would have noticed a lot more....

Inside the transports fifty lunatics were shacked to their walls, unable to move, horrible wailing and white noises blasted at them, shattering the reamins of their senses, while images of the enemy flashed before them and a soothing voice explained, "they bring you pain, they hate you, be free" they writhed around.

"The pain, the pain" as a crown, not as one, each not caring of the others around them.

The doors opened and the shackes opened, as a tide 200000 animals swarmed fowards, some so eager they hacked at eachother.

The creatures mouths ran with drool and their bloodshiit eyes stared foward unflinchingly, they all were covered in small steel like muscles and bounded foward at an alarming speed, waving their weapons and occasionally hacking a comrade down, in their enthusiasm to kill. Soo they saw the marines and began to sprint towards them. As one now...

"The pain, the pain, the pain, the pain, the pain"

A continuous barrage on the senses, giving the marines a glimpse of what the creatures had been through and the turmoil in their minds....

As the shells landed on the Marines, the lunatics (Can I call them that?) bounded on them. Hundreds died in the explosions which followed. The plasma shells annihlating(sp?) most of the casualties. More lunatics pounced on the Marines, clawing away strips of armour with such power. The order to fall back was given, the Marines running back shooting at the lunatics whcih followed. Eventully they were, guessing, out of the range of enemy guns. But there were still those monsters to deal with. They kept coming, more and more blowing up but the power armour deflected most of the blasts. Only a handful died to the lunatics. Eventully, after an hour or so, there were no more lunatics. All there was a mile long plain full of bodies, body bits and shards of power armour.

The Titans rampaged the OS lines, another 2 being dragged down by heavy muntions. They crashed down onto the OS men....

Several hundred Ornage state troops were crushed under the wreckage of the titans while four thousand more had been killed by their firepower and rampage, numbering under 180000 the remaining Orange state troops waited with their weapons ready, while the artillery, was with the enemy out of range (OOC: so several miles away) reloaded by a few convoys of munitions. The ROnage state aircraft withdrew for a short while, protecting the convoys while they travelled to the frontline and back, before flying up itno space to their carriers. Within 5 minutes the skies were empty.

Aboard the ships the pilots dashed out of their vessels and took a quick rest having snacks and relaxing for a few minutes while machanics re-armed their ships laoding small missiles onto them and checking all the vessels were operating withing tolerable levels. With most ships destroyed, the amchanics for heavy fighters and bombers and many destroyed fighters, were able to contribute, making the change quicker than normally possible.

After 30 minutes they dashed back to their fighters and descended. Feeling slightly refreshed and much more comfortable.

OOC:If you want to take some actions in that 30 minutes, feel free. BUt unless you are quick a load fo rearmed fighters will return.

OOC: There are still two Titans running amok in your lines.

IC: As the fighters withdrew, the Titans caused more carnage. They focused their full firepower upon the men on the ground, ignoring the larger weapons.
The Marines watched as the fighters flew away and some made a break for, specilised assult troops - Assult Marines. The gunned their jetpacks and dived admist the enemy, while terminaters followed. With the assult marines in the middle and terminaters assulting the front of the lines the rest of the marines followed with a flank attack, arriving at the OS lines as the fighters returned. The fighters strafed the marines, killing 23. This would be the last assult, the last battle, the outcome of this battle would determine the fate of the EGC.....

The Ornage state troops lost hundreds of men to the titans before the hundreds of tanks balsted the titans with heavy wepaons.

The fighters descended for more attack runs, this time with more missiles making sohts at the mass of space marines,over 1000 missiles (about 200Kg payload) shot to the ground exploding among the men and thinning out the oncoming hoard (OOC: how considerably is down to cam but these arent small weapons)

As the marines charged, the remainign anti personnel tanks began firing, as did thousanfds of cannon, all carefully aimed by the static troops. The supply covoy retreated and the craft which had landed earlier's crew left it slighty behind the lines while joining them.

The tower warriors sat pouring shots into the enemy, waiting for the marines to approach. Even witht he heavy armour they would die in droves before they arrived. But their sheer weight of numbers would ensure some did. The tower warriors readied themselves and as the enemy got to melee range every troop emptied the clip he was fring into the front of the enmy and drew a blade or charged and energised one before joinignt he huge melee..

OOC: There are troops in the middle of your men, about 3000....

IC: As the Marines charged, missiles expoloded in there midst. Hundreds died to the missiles and heavy weapons fire from the OS troops. More and more fire power was directed at them since the Titans had been destroyed. There were screaming shells landing everywhere, killing many men. The small arms fire suddenly ended and the Tower Warriors charged out and cut down swathe after swathe of Marines, the Marines fought back. They drew power swords and bolt pistols. Some had power fists/chain fists which caused havoc in the melee.....

OOC: my entire army leapt foward as yours got close, the tower warriors just led the charge/are the nastiest warriors in the galaxy so I put emphasis on them. there a couple of tens of thousands of them left so they couldnt win single handedly.

IC: The two lines merged as the now much more equal numbers of troops met. An entire army of troops bred for war met another simular army equipped and trained as well. Superior in numbers but much more battered and short on supplies than the defenders.

The Orange state troops knew this was the fend of the war either way, and as they didnt fear death, threw themselves into the marines, they knew the land they knew nothing but love for was under threat.

As one a cry of "for Orange state" roared from tens of thousands of mouthes and the Orange state army was fighting for the future of the nation.
The assualt marines had give them a little shock, but many had had SAMs aimed at them as they flew in, and more had been shot like clay pidgeons by the elite of a 1 billion person nation. Those that arrived had caused heavy casualities and slightly thinned the foire as the main body arrived, but the Orange state army had been ready for pretty much anything.

The melee contiuned, no side giving up an inch of ground. Bodies littered the area around the warriors. The sky turned red as blood was shed in bucket loads. The numbers were about equal, there were at least 5000 more Camian troops than OS, but that didn't make a difference. The assault troops had withdrawn because of heavy casualties, they returned in force landing at the rear of the OS men. No fire was pointed there way, except some atillery shells which landed in the melee, killing both OS and Cam troops alike. The Assault Marines launched into the fight, hacking and slashing away....

IC: As the assault troops came down behind the Orange state force, the handful of remaining tanks (OOC: several hundred) equipped with anti personnel ammo began firing apon them at them with with their rapid firing cannon. The Melee would be fough down to the last few men, and either way they wouldnt be more thna a handful of men left. The last few Tanks sat ready to attack anything that moved when it died down as for several miles along a front the troops fought for Orange state.

The fighters swept the sky firing their lasers apon any enemy that broke from the battle and waiting for the dust to settle.

OOC: If you do win the melee I dont intend to let you have my planet. I have a few tanks remaining as well as a few fighters still. And they are ready.

The Assault Marines were cut down by anti-personnel fire, before they could attack. But luckly the bullets ignited their jetpacks, blowing them up. The explosins took down some OS men aswell as the Assualt troops. The fighters swept over head, killing the coweredly which had run, not many though. Hundreds more from each side had been killed, the numbers were starting to thin. It was now looking to be the end of this war....

As the fight began to thin the Orange state troops had become scattered mixed up evenly with the Cam troops the battelfield looked like a huge mixture of armour. Except now there were gaps between men.

The fighters continued circling like giant metallic vultures waiting for the melee to end, ready to pounce the moment they knew if the enemy were the winners or now, while the tansk sat ready.

With less men alive the death toll was falling from thousands every ten seconds, to hundreds, and soon tens. There were few men left on either side compared to how they started.

A single APC headed to the lines and a few feet away the hatch opened. A huge power armour creature which towered over even the tower warriors strode out and pulled out a huge hammer which crackled with energy.

"Prosperans, know this, your emperor has failed you. There are few heroes in my nation but they stand here, with me, now I help them."

THe huge beast magius leapt into the lines, a burst of energy disentegrating some of its target as he flug his hammer into a space marine. The unfortunate went flying through the air like doll. Magius roared and swung again and with their emporer present the army fought harder than before.

OOC: He wasnt a warrior, but eight hundred years of ruling like a tyrant give you plenty of combat experience.

Peratube, the leader of this force, pulled a body from his duel-lighting claws.
"I disagree, Lord Cam III Has not failed us, we die in glory. I request one thing before I kill you, that you will promise to leave the Empire alone if you do not you will regret it..." With that he charged at the beast, blue lighting crackled around his body. With one thought the lighting was flung at Magius, and Peratube tumbled into him, flailing his hands. This was a battle of leaders. As that was going on, the 1,040 remaing Space Marines charged into battle, The Last Stand of The Space Marines.

"If the empire ever touches one of my people in an act of war again I will raze every last field, burn every last house and torture every last citizen. But for now it survives."

Magius sensed the challenge of another powerful being and several blades sprung from his body where large chunks had been replaced by bionics.

He leapt for his foe swinging his hammer in his stride. His warriors followed behind him, a thousand warriors and three dozen tower warriors.

OOC: With that he charged at the beast, blue lighting crackled around his body. With one thought the lighting was flung at Magius, and Peratube tumbled into him, flailing his hands.
Yoy haven't posted damage, or defelection...

IC: As the larger monster swung at Peratube, his bionics and enhanced sensors let him have an edge. He ducked as the hammer cliped his helm, knocking him to the ground. He sprung up at slashed the exposed belly of the beast with his claws....

The OS men were stopped in their tracks by the 1027 Marines who fought them were they stood. Many fell on each side, the numbers were thinning....

IC: Magius snarled as his stomach was cut by the claws of the enemy leader, he kicked down at him, and swing his hammer. Magius was leaking a small amount of some fluid, but whether it was blood or something else wasnt clear. Either way, he didnt care too much as his pain threshold was artificially high...

The Ornage state troops fought agaisnt their equals, their numbers and the slightly superior skills fo the tower warriors, as well as the inspiration of their leader fighting however seem ed to give them an edge. Abeit a very slight one. A few fell while space marines fell amongnst them in almost equal numbers.

Magius kicked Peratube in cheast, knocking him to the ground, while the hammer crushed a lighting claw. Peratube stood up, "I see you are powerful, more so than me. I will take great pleasure in killing you." With that he spun, a lighting claw whirling at Magius. He stopped and raised the crippled hand, blood seeping down the armour. Lighting formed around the hand and he ushered the lighting towards Magius.....

Magius was wounded but still not badly, however on noticing that this inputent upstart had resisted despite being crippled and was about to use some sort of ranged or psychic attack Magius became furious, several so far unused dvices injected chemicals into his blood and his metabolism accelerated several times.

With his genome altered and enahnced more than his fellow warriors, he was now strong enough to flip a small ground vehicle (ie tow truck). He ran at the prosperan and swung his hammer at it aiming to tear the hand off and then follow through into his body.

Around him his warriors continued laying into their enemy, the tower warriors still giving them a very slight edge.

IC: The hammer smashed the hand to tiny peices, and followed through into Peratube's ribs. He went flying, slamming into the ground a couple of meters away. He stood up and removed his helmet, his face was scared and bloody. "I will not die by your hands! Men, execute plan Alpha!" A lone Marine ran from his fight to Peratube, he drew a long circular device and pressed a button. He then handed it to Peratube, who held under his arm. "I shall take great pleasure in doing this." He sprinted at Magius, all while the red light on the tube flashed faster and faster.

OOC: Yes, it is a bomb. You have about 2-4 seconds left. I would say that Magius could: Kill Peratube and perish, or run away. Which would make him a cowered? Think about it....

Magius enraged, but he wasnt stupid. Jumped back, knowing that if his enemy showed a deficiency in honour, he would too.

He barked an order at his men and leapt away. "Destroy the bomb, you there."
WHile pointing at a second, "dispatch the leader"

A single warrior turned and fired a clip of 20mm shells into the running warrior, while second emptied the rounds into Peratube.

The men were cut down instantly by their nearest adversaries, but hopefully the blast would destroy the assailants anyway.

"A cunning adversary, but I will nto sacrifice the stability of my empire over something as petty a s honour with a nation who killed a planet that had surrendered. My people will know this."

OOC: Nice move, but Magius cares only about the economy of his nation and its progression. He also doesnt care about Cam as he has lost a planet to them. He also has grunts.

OOC: Yes, a last resort....

IC: The blast killed warriors in a 2 metre radius. All the remaing Space Marines where killed along with a handful of OS men. Most of the Tower Warriors escaped. Just. A bloody end to a battle, Cam III was defeted here. But Sephrioth was still to come.....

OOC2: Good RP, I enjoyed it. *Shakes hands with OS then walks away into the horizen*

OOC: You realise that my nation now hates yours passionately.

IC: Orange state was in no shape to make demands of Cam for the time being. Several military projects were delayed for a while now and the priority woyuld be rebuilding. Hundreds of miles of prime manufactuiring land had been destroyed.

Fortunately Orange state had evacuated most capital and some building materials along with some people. ANd now it all returned. In 2 weeks building was underway and while the economy was stretched and slowed, most of the old sites were revuilt quickly. Food imports were much higher for three or four years before, Orange stat having to use its national saving to susbidise low food and construction prices.

Other nations that Orange traded with benifitted in the next year as contractors and food were pulled in for a whole year and financed by government savings.

The army rebuilding however did not commence immediately. Instead many research projects were accelerated and the entire Orange state navy was replaced by new vessels using more advanced technology and weapons gained shortly before the war, while the ageing fighter designs were replaced entirely by a new one.

Orange state's armed forces were all but destroyed but with the populace thinly scattered many were totally unaffected. the recovery was quick but intense.
