Thanks Justin, this is truly a sad day for the Commonwealth, as two of the most popular cabinet members have been murdered today. Information are still sketchy at present, but it is believed that the two ministers were on vacation after a summit meeting that was held outside of the Commonwealth. The families of both ministers have been notified of the murder, and the families are, understandably, currently refusing to answer all reporter's questions. As...

Commonwealth President Josh Callaghan speaks
Good evening, Boa Vistans. Today, we have suffered a tragic loss that we cannot replace for a long time. Two of our most important government ministers were murdered while on vacation today. It is sad for me to announce that the Minister for United Nations affairs, Joao Godinho, and the Minister for Equality, Ryan Kennedy, have been killed today, after attending a summit meeting outside of the country.
I am shocked and saddened to learn that they are murdered. Their contributions to the Commonwealth shall be remembered in history. Their passion, and their convictions, for their work were also admirable. Their deaths are unfortunate, as well as untimely.
Therefore, I am announcing that until further notice, this nation will be in mourning. All flags in the country shall be lowered to half-staff, and our murdered ministers will be accorded a state funeral upon their return to the Commonwealth.
I am also announcing that as of this minute, all government ministers will be under strict military protection in an undisclosed location until further notice. Our government will continue to function while they are in protection.
Meanwhile, the military, along with the Ministry of Intelligence and the Office of the Commonwealth President, shall join in cooperation to investigate this murder incident. This case shall be investigated, and its results be made public.
Finally, under the powers vested in me as the Executive Admiral of the Commonwealth Armed Forces, I am ordering that all branches of the Armed Forces be on Defense Condition 3, and be ready for military actions at any time. Under Commonwealth Law, those who kills a Commonwealth Minister is also considered to be waging war with the Commonwealth. The murderers will be brought to justice, and their organizations defeated.
In closing, I ask the nation to pray for our murdered ministers, and their families. May God be with them. Good Night.
