After decades of using the venerable 1950s and 60s H&K G3A3 7.62x51mm assault rifle, the Aztec Lands have re-equipped with a new rifle: the AA-2.

Standard version: Does not have vertical foregrip or tri-rail, but does have the rail system.
Special Operations: As shown
Grenadier: Replaces foregrip with (experimental) LO-4 Grenade Launcher
Carbine: Shortened barrel that does not protrude from the gun
The top rail can be used with all optics, from reflex sights, to red-dot sights, to low-mag opticals, and even (with a spacer) hi-mag opticals.
The caliber of the new weapon is the new 6.8mm SPC developed by the USA's Remington. It offers more power than the 5.56- especially at long range, where the 5.56 is dreadfully inadequate- and is not as heavy as the 7.62mm. Addtionally, against emaciated targets, there are reports of the 5.56mm not fragmenting.
The rifle is not for sale, as we have no large-scale Arms Manufacturers, but we CAN sell the blueprints and production rights for $25 million plus a 5% royalty on each gun produced (negotiable.)
Caliber: 6.8 Remington SPC
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Modes of fire: Full auto, two-round burst, single-shot, safety
Overall length: 805 mm
Barrel length: 508 mm
Weight: 3.82 kg without magazine and accessories, 4.44 kg loaded with magazine and 25 rounds of ammunition
Magazine capacity: 25 rounds
Rate of fire: 600-700 rounds per minute
Effective range: about 650 meters
