ICS Bounty
On patrol near Urbanopolis IV
The star destroyer Bounty slowly made its way through the Urbanopolis system. It was just another routine patrol. Nothing out of the ordinary. At least not that anyone could tell. A group of several high ranking crew members had gathered in Commander Paul Mannstein, the first officer's quarters.
The Engineering officer, Lieutenant Commander Heinz Ferdinand, looked around the room at the gathered officers seated at a large round table. Aside from Ferdinand and Commander Mannstein there was Lieutenant Commander Richard Weber, the Communications Officer, the Tactical Officer, Lieutenant Commander Alex Rodriguez, and the commander of the ship's ground troops, Colonel Simon Brooks.
Ferdinand then looked to Mannstein and spoke, "Sir, when do we commence the operation? My men are getting restless and I'm sure the others feel the same way."
As if on cue, the rest of the men nodded their agreement.
Mannstein smiled. "Worry not gentlemen. We begin today. Your men have been patient, and today they will be rewarded. Today we make our move."
He reached under his seat and lifted up a LasPistol. He set it on the table.
"And with this we will begin." He stood up and put the pistol into the holster on his belt.
He continued speaking, "Gentlemen, today the Crossmanian Fascist Party shows the Imperium our intent. We begin this move towards our rightful rule of the Imperium. As I speak to you now, my counterparts aboard the Avenger, the Interceptor, and the Alexander are preparing for the same thing. From these four ships, we intend to set and example for others throughout the Imperium who wish to see the government in our hands. Now, go to your stations and wait for my signal."
The other offciers stood and saluted Mannstein, then exited the room. Mannstein followed behind them and began to make his way to the bridge.
Mannstein went to the nearest lift. He entered it and ordered the computer, "Bridge." The lift hummed as it made its way up through the decks of the ship. It stopped and the doors opened. Mannstein walked out into the corridor. Around the corner was the bridge.
Standing in the center of the bridge was Captain Julius Norrington. He heard the thumping od footsteps on the deck and turned, "Ah Paul, I wanted to speak with you."
Mannstein stopped. ''Permission denied Captain."
Norrington's eyes wided with shock. "What did you say to me, Commander?"
Mannstein grinned. "You said you wished to speak with me, I said permission denied, Captain." He pulled the LasPistol from his hip and aimed it at Norrington.
"Mannstein! You treacherous bastard! You'll never get a...", the blast from the pistol silenced the ship's captain.
"You are relieved of command, sir", Mannstein laughed. He put the pistol back in his holster and turned Weber at the Comm station. Weber nodded and activated the ship's intercom.
"All hear this! This is Commander Mannstein. Captain Norrington has had a bit of an accident. I am assuming command of the Bounty. I ask that everyone stay calm, and be cooperative. Mannstein out."
Mannstein walked over to the helmsman. "Ensign, I want you to change our course. Make your heading..."
Outside the bridge, a young crewman had witnessed the whole scene. He turned and ran back down the hall toward the lift. I have to conact High Command, he thought to himself.
OOC: Ah, I've been wanting to do some sort of fancy attempted coup RP for quite some time. Hope I do well and I hope every likes it. More to come later.
