SORRY ITS LONG, MY FIRST PROPER RP BEGINNING!


It was late one sunday evening, three buses of school children were driving back from an exciting week at Serafimas outdoor activity camp. It was very very cold outside around -10 celsius- the buses were approaching the Kimete Tunnel, the longest on the island.

As the first driver approached amidst all the talking he heard a shotgun blast, next thing, he was dead- the bus swerved on the road and rolled over at great speed; the children were inside, being bashed around, the buses electrics had been cut off, they were left in the freezing cold dark.... the same thing happened to the second and third bus- all eventually spinning on the ice of the deadly Eastern Lake.

For about 30 seconds there was total mayhem, children scrabbling, talking to rapid welsh-russian, their teachers trying to calm them down.

THEN..... a massive explosion came from the road- a bomb- several- exploded and the ice broke, the buses slowly sinked down into the water.................

TUESDAY MORNING

'Heidi are you ready to go?' Alain asked the young woman as she got up after reading the news story.
'Yes, I dont know if i can handle this, all those children frozen, and their parents!' Heidi said quietly.
'Yes, well this is an attrocious attack, obviously some spies or rebels from the North East' Alain replied, stretching out his hand, she took it and they walked up the corridor and out to the jeep.

The couple drived to the Kimete Tunnel, there were Serafima police cars all around and blue flashing lights- Heidi could still see one top of a bus sticking out of the ice with what she thought and feared were children up against the window, she felt her stomach turn and felt a rush of blood to her head.

'Lola, what have you found?' Alain asked the pathologist.
'Well it is difficult we cannot really retrieve the bodies due to where their position is' Lola replied.

'So we are waiting for the recovery team' she replied, looking up at the towering Alain.
'Although, forensics have found the guns, Winchester 70's three of them' Lola said, flicking through her note pad.
'Yes...' Alain said, looking away from the pretty pathologist, he looked back to see Heidi going to get into the jeep.
'What is wrong with Heidi?' Lola asked.
'I don't know, she seems really sick, perhaps its because they are children, god knows what state they will be in' he sighed.

STATEMENT FROM THE SERAFIMAN GOVERNMENT

We require a few more pathologists and forensic scientists in light of this recent attrocity; we will be so grateful.

Meanwhile, Morgaine was back at the office, rushing around.

'Isla, we need to check airport records' she shouted.
'M.T, we cant really do anything until we actually know what we are looking for' Isla replied sitting down in her office.
'You are right' Morgaine replied. Morgaine wanted to catch these bastards, she didnt know whether they were Southern Rebels or an incoming nation..............
'I know what I can do, is to check all recent terror hot groups' Isla said to the pacing Governess.
'Yes do that' Morgaine replied.
'Take a break, we can handle this, Heidi phoned ages ago to say they havent even got the buses out yet' Isla said.
'alright' Morgaine said, retreating to her office and she let Isla get on............................................

'No not yet, Isla will phone me when they do' Heidi said, writing down notes and taking photographs.

We do not have many scientific experts or such to help. However, we can offer recovery crews to help you to get the vechiles out of the lake. And we also offer millitary aid in locating those responsable for the bombing, should you request it.

Heidi took the call from Neo Cannen
'Hello, sorry I only caught half of that' she said in her rich russian voice. she scrabbled around for a pen and her notepad, which had fallen out of the massive jeep.....

Captian Abram was piloting the chinnock with the relief equipment.
"We are en route to the lake, here we have a crane and scanning equipment to look for any suvivors, I also bring a message from my government telling you that we will offer any services to your intellgence divisions to find out exactly who did this"

Heidi was writing down notes, she then saw the helicopter in the distant, suddenly the lake seemed very busy, she still could no bring herself to look at the bus, seeing the children up against the window, she felt sick again, this time even worse.

The chinnok was carrying the crane over the hills. Eventualy it lowered it onto the road. It then landed itself and rolled out a series of crates all contiaing equipment. Abram came running out
"Miss Heidi, Im captain Abram of Neo-Cannen resque services, we were informed you required our assistance"

From the distance, a small Kubelwagen transport car, dark yellow with Newdorian markings, could be seen speeding towards the lake, the man in the driver's seat grimacing as the vechile came closer, black hair flying wildly in the wind, thinking that he should have held his hat down...

Heidi could see a car driving very fast towards her. she wondered who it was, the car soon slowed down..........

Screeching to a halt, the Kubelwagen kicked up a massive amount of debris, sliding slightly to the right. Loud swears in Newdorian could be heard from the man as he stepped out, pulling his driving goggles up onto his head, his hair flying randomly in various directions. Giving the car a good kick, he turned around, huffing, spotting the woman. His eyes went wide with shock as he brushed off his dark grey overcoat and removed his driving gloves.

"Eh...sorry bout that. Damien Vasiliv, at your service. My men and I are busy with the reconstructive effort here, and I rushed out as soon as I heard what happened, see if there is anything we can assist with.."

5 choppers from Vestern States airforce swooped in over the scene, looking for somewere to land. When on the ground, the soldiers from medical corp started setting up a area with complete field hospitals.
Later, the choppers returned with forensic detectives, medics, doctors and nurses.

One chopper carried equippment to retrive the bus. That operation started at once.

Also, advisers from the intelligense arrived to help smoking out the people behind this

Heidi was covered in dust, her hair was all over the place and she looked awful.
'well we are just recovering the vehicles, do you have any forensic/pathologists we could borrow?' Heidi asked, kissing the man on both cheeks, a traditional welcome gesture.
'But apart from that there is nothing' she said as she pulled away from him.....

'wanna go for a drink sometime?, I dont think I will be able to cope with all these dead children, once we recover the bodies' she asked after a long awkward silence.

"A...a drink? Well... If you honestly have nothing better for me to work with... I could use a malenky something to drink. My rot is more than a little dry after eating alll that accursed dusting speeding here..."

Damien let out a nervous chuckle, scratching the back of his head, something almost always done by members of the Newdorian People's Party when uneasy. Dropping his arm back to his side, he patted his revolver absent mindedly.

I offer you 500 million dollars from my government to help pay the families who suffered in this tragedy.

Heidi gestured for him to get into the car, after he got in, they sped away to the city and to Heidis favourite bar, THE MIRAVELLE.

'Wanna come in?' she asked,

Heidi walked up to the car.
'Sir?' she asked again to the man sitting in the car.
'Its a nice bar, not like some of the inner city brawls, I know the manager' Heidi added....

Damien had slightly spaced out during the ride, mind wandering off to the men back at the camp, worrying over the fact that the first things they had chosen to repair were liqour stores, and how they seemed to almost like the capitalistic decadance of this nation...sighing, he shook his head and turned to the woman, stepping out of the car.

"Sure, sure...lead the way..."

Heidi took him into the bar and they sat in the corner, Heidi clicked her slender fingers and a oldish man came over to their table.
'We'll have two malenkys please' she said, lighting a cigarette.
'sure Heidi, be back in a second' the barman said.

'I am terrified of this case, I have never studied infant mortality before, I just needed to get away from it all you know' Heidi said, groping her fingers restlessly, she looked up and Damien was staring right at her.
'Are you alright?' she asked, he seemed spaced out all the time.
'You wanna talk?' she asked.

"Eh? Oh, eh, I'm fine...and, um, mam, you sure you're barkeep can find a Malenky..? Please forgive me, I'm used to speaking the Newdorian slang, and Malenky typically means small, amongst other things...could you see if I could get a White Russian instead...?"

Damien chuckled lightly, adjusting his wild hair, his large frame crunched in the small seat.

'Carlos!' Heidi snapped, feeling stupid.
'Yes love' he said.
'Can you make that two white russians instead' Heidi asked.
'Sure love, on the house' Carlos winked.

'So what brings you to this current shit-hole of a nation, half our population are dead, we are the butt of all terror jokes' Heidi said, smoking large puffs of smoke from her cigarette.

'Sorry about the drink, I am not with it, ever since my ex well started abusing me, everything has fallen apart' Heidi said, circling the top of the drink glass staring longingly at Damien.

A Boeing 757, decorated in the JRV national colours and emblem approached Serafima airspace. A com channel was opened with the authorities...

"This is JRV Government Transport Flight VIC-SER # 1. We request permission to land."

Onboard the flight was a team of 6 JRV Federal Police officers, and 10 forensic scientists. Heading the team was High Commissioner Sophia Cartwright of the JRV Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by a staff of 4 diplomatic officers. Members of the JRV Diplomatic Protection Service were also flying in with the delegation.

'Carlos!' Heidi snapped, feeling stupid.
'Yes love' he said.
'Can you make that two white russians instead' Heidi asked.
'Sure love, on the house' Carlos winked.
