Early Kordo 200 B.C.E. - 350 C.E.
The islands of Kordo was the first area of the region of Shecito to discovered in 200 B.C.E. by Irish fishermen who had apparently never noticed the giant island chain off their coast. The first permanent city was founded two years later, by Irish settlers. In 100 C.E., a war between the then well established Irish and the newly established, though larger in population, German city-states began. It was started after a fight broke out in an Irish bar between a local group of Irish and German drunks. It quickly spread to all levels (one of the drunks was the leader of the largest of the Irish city-states and the bar owner) and open hostilities soon commenced, heavily damaging the islands then beer-dependent economy. The war would rage on for nearly fifty years until the Siege for New Dublin. The bloody battle lasted for two months costing nearly 50,000 men (No precise numbers of women and children could be located), or roughly 1/6 of the male population of Kordo at that time. After that battle, the first that saw massive unified armies of both German and Irish city-states pitted against each other, a peace agreement was brokered and a government was set up under the leadership of John Marryard.
Warring States 350 C.E. - 556 C.E.
The Marryard Dynasty period as it would latter be known would last until the year 350 C.E. when a slave rebellion(both persons of Asian and African heritage were at that time being used as slaves) broke out and a provincial ‘free’ government was created. However, the government was over thrown within a year, though many of their laws including the abolishment of slavery would continue to live on, and for roughly the next two hundred years, a series of governments and coalitions would attempt to seize control of the government.
Holden Period 556 C.E. - 605 C.E.
In the year 556 C.E., an army under the control of the young General Mathew Holden would establish a government which would last to his death nearly fifty years latter. While short lived, the Holden government would lay down laws that would help unite the then fractured nation. Holden saw to the standardization of everything from the coinage and language (German, and as of 1950 English) to the standard distance between rows of wheat.
The Coalition of the Righteous 606 C.E. - 1918 C.E.
With the fall of the Holden government, a coalition of leftist groups, “The Coalition" seized control of the government and would rule until 1918, when it was overthrown by a more moderate government. This period was unremarkable, and was relatively peaceful except for the extreme isolationist policies that the government put into place.
The ‘Kordo Dynasty’ 1919 C.E. – Present Day
The moderate government, who was first headed Harry Kordo, seized power from the leftist regime in 1919, and began righting some of the previous governments wrong, including the flagrant disregard for the right to bare arms, and the isolationist posture. Under Harry’s leadership and his dually elected son Jon, they re-involved the nation in regional affairs, and helped many peoples find land in the Shecito area. Under Jack Kordo I, and his son and current President Jack Kordo II, the government finally realized the mistakes of the pervious governments, and drafted new legislation to help it return to its conservative up bringing.
