Czar Overrules ME Senate, "Jew City" may remain in ME

Decisive Action
08-10-2004, 19:22
For the longest time, about twenty thousand Jews had lived in a "separate but equal" city of their own, about twenty miles east of Marsa Matruh. Dubiously nicknamed "Jew City" by the surrounding white citizens. The Commonwealth Senate had been attempting to pass legislation to evict them all and forcibly deport them, however they could never get enough senators who wanted to vote "yes" to be in the senate on the same day at the same time. The decadent senators were either drunk or womanizing, and the WKM senators were either praying, in church, doing charitable work, or kluxing. Thus the resolutions repeatedly came to nothing, as a quorum could never be reached.

Four days ago, the quorum was reached and by a vote of 42-25, the resolution titled, "Jewish Eviction Resolution 2004" passed. The Czar, upon hearing of the attempt to evict people who were already separated in their own city and minding their own business, set about the process of using his imperial decree to overrule their attempts. Two days ago, the overruling was made official and the "Jew City" was granted Imperial Authority to remain in existence so long as they continued to obey the laws and remained as the Czar put it, "model citizens".

The Czar had no comments other than; "I have more important things to do than worry about international implications from expelling twenty thousand Jews for no real reason. If there was a reason, I'd consider it, but I can't see any reason other than, I hate to admit it, anti-Semitism on the part of numerous senators. I think they should be more concerned about maintaining their armies readiness and keeping stability and peace. If the Jews are in their own city, well whom can they hurt but themselves? And often one can find that groups don't fight themselves, if they were going to do wrong, it'd be against other groups, but for now, they are in their own city and thus that is just not a possibility. Indeed I do have more important matters, the slavery issues, the senate debates, and the crisis in TBD, my brother William being held hostage. I don't have the time or desire to stir up the delicate calm that currently exists by bringing the issue of forced deportation to the forefront of Commonwealth issues."

"The Czar has denied that his decision is in any way representative of his overall view of the jewish race as a whole, and he maintains that his overall opinion of the jewish race is still in his own words, "Characteristically Mississippian". This is The White Peoples Radio and Television Network, reporting from Marsa Matruh. We will bring you more on this later on."

Ooc- And with this last post, I now leave for field maneuvers. I shall return in a while (probably tomorrow at 3-4) and see what needs updating.
