Our orbital power transmission system has proven to be a huge success-- capable of delivering as much power as needed to any location neccesary.
However, our military scientists feel that this may have solved the major problem plauging portable beam weapons of useful size: how to power them and still retain a reasonable amount of mobility.
The answer may have presented itself in the form of our satellite system: keep the power source out of the vehicle.
Current topics being investigated are the proper type of beam weapon for this project, a suitable platform to carry the reciever and cannon, and the adjustments to control software neccesary to allow our power transmitters to track a moving target.
Updates to be posted when our research bears fruit.
