Greetings, Nations of the World

The Parliament of British Hannover is sublimely interested in forging meaningful, mutually beneficial diplomatic contacts with like-minded nations. Our goal is to create a more peaceful and prosperous world, and to strengthen the institutions of democratic government and social concern.

As UN members, we believe strongly in the importance of international cooperation in a world where national borders are increasingly weakened. We only seek diplomatic relations and trade, but also are willing to defend ourselves and any allies we make should aggressive nations flout the greater principles of peace and partnership.

Following is a few tidbits about our country, and a link to a brief national biography on the official government website. More information available free upon request.

We're not exactly German we're more Arabic influenced Celts and Celtic influenced Arabs. But we'd be happy to be friends with you. Another German nation is The Great Sixth Reich an ally of ours.

Ethnicity means very little to us. Among our British population, there are sure to be many Scots and some Ulster Irish. Among our immigrant population, there isn't a large Arabic contigent, although many of them are of Turkish origin.

But I digress. Our nation is committed to supporting both the political and cultural sovereignity of the world's countries. We admit that we are also somewhat fascinated by the combination of Arabic and Celtic culture. Perhaps you could tell us some more?

Well. Several hundred years ago many tribes of Celtic descent were wandering the world. They stumbled across the local population in what is present day Camel Eaters (Pakistan Afghanistan) the Arabic and Celtic tribes found they had much in common both being pagan warrior cultures. There languages blended easily enough and the Camel Eaters tribes were born. Over many years immigrants from around the world flocked to us because of our open mindness and Camel Eaters was born.

OOC: Ulster Irish you say. They persecuted us Southern Irish when we came to America. Ah well alls well that ends well.

British Hannover started life when George I of Hannover, by way of complicated European royal dynasties simultaneously became King of England. Eventually, Hannover began to take on British systems of government and social organizations. In the mid-19th century, British Hannover became a Dominion of the British Empire, and it was given its full independence in 1906. Since then, we have existed as an independent, prosperous nation with close ties to both our English and German heritages.

OOC Notes- I remember reading a lot about inter-Irish conflict, in the context of Canada, though. Where, unlike the US, the Protestant Ulsterites actually outnumbered (and still outnumber) the Catholic Irish. For a long time, the Orange Order was an extremely powerful political force in Canada. Not so much any longer ... St. Patrick's Day parades have been violence free for several decades.

the King of Asurnahb (Jockston Leorge) would like to welcome you to the thresh-hold of the world. We, too, are only now beginning to make our mark on the history of the world, and realize how intimidating the experiance can be.

Although our two nations are different on a political scope, we agree with the ideal of Democracy...freedom. That freedom must be held high and proud, never to be forsaken. With this fundimental philosophy in mind, I, King Jockston L., as well as my advisors, believe that a mutual relationship between our nations will be beneficial to both of our varied peoples.

Our nation would like to extend to you a non-agression pact, which will insure that our nations shall be at peace for many years to come. Also, we would like to secure an exchange of embassies, as well as open the doors for trade to strengthen our economies.

I Gruldw(Dictator of Noao) do beleive in peace through out the world though we do not share the same form of goverment we wish peace with you. We also wish that we can exchange embassies.

We agree with your statement on the essence of democracy. While our national politics seem to be somewhat different, we do not believe that this should hamper our relations with friendly countries. We agree fully to the construction of embassies and the beginning of economic negotiations.

As for the non-aggression pact, I will have to get it ratified by Parliament. I do not predict, however, that this should be a great difficulty. I look forward to many years of friendship between our nations.

we thank you for your quick responce to our request. A prime tract of land shall be acquired within the Capitol City of Asurnahb, Faruhn. All materials needed for construction can be procured, at cost, from our nation's private construction contractors. Unless there are exotic materials from your nation you wish to be used. The only thing requested, is that a team of your designers be sent to design the embassy building, to ensure that the vibrance of your nation will be cast onto it the way you see fit.

Asurnahb's vast Industries will be very pleased to get a chance to trade outside our borders. The leading Industries are as follows: Oil, Gas, Chemical, Steel and Iron production - our nation has a long tradition of being a self-sufficient, industrialized people. Although Technologies in the way of Medical Research and Computers are rather lacking. So, if there are any companies within your nation which cater to such, they will find a particular niche in Asurnahb.

We shall send a team of skilled designers immediately. I do not believe there are any particularly exotic materials that will be used in the embassy's construction. Most of our government architecture of note is in marble.

British Hannover has an excellent technological and service sector, as we have looked to develop past our traditional economic mainstays in heavy manufacturing and diary agriculture. Fifty-two years of state-funded health care has given us great experience in medical affairs. In addition, we would appreciate imports of many industrial raw materials. Many of our neighbours are less than reliable.

We are sending many of our most skilled designers over to begin building of the embassy. We have sent all the materials needed though we will need some extra workers if you could supply them. Our country does not have many materials to trade for we have put much of our money in uranium mining. We look forward to trading with you in the near future.

You, sir, have just intrigued me. We have to get almost all of our uranium from unreliable, virtually hostile states surrounding us. It would be in our national interest, and our mutual economic interest, to commence a trade in this.

British Hannover is not a resource-based economy, although we have an excellent diary-based agricultural sector, and a reputation for quality automobiles. Our economy is largely based around services and technology, including, in large part, shipping. (We have some of the best ports in our region)

Camel Eaters:
Much appreciated. Your ruler shall recieve a gift package of some exquisitely tasty cheese and other diary products immediately.

Your team, upon arrival, will be welcomed warmly, they shall be given luxury suites at one of our hotels on the tab of our government for the duration of their stay.

The greatest health threat to our nation's people is flu, though we do not have the facilities to create a large enough vaccine supply to counter the spread. Flu Vaccines would be a welcome trade item.

As for the raw materials, specify what you need, we would be glad to trade if we can fit the demand.

Aye tis good we use cheese to ward off evil spirits why I'd say a wee bit of that cheese should be able to guard and entire city. The rest can and will of course be eaten. And milk is like a holy drink.

We will require several dozen tons of fine white marble for facing, along with several hundred pounds of galvanized gold for trimming and gold leaf. More ordinary marble can be used for the frame of the structure. We will be willing to trade in goods or currency.

As for your influenza problems, we will most certainly arrange for trade in influenza vaccines. Our medical industry will be pleased to produce a large amount of high-quality vaccines for a variety of diseases. Our population is not particularly large at this time, and their capabilities are, quite honestly, much greater than our polity allows at the time.

OOC>> I have no idea how much in technical amounts it would be required to build a decent-sized embassy. Furthermore, the closest economic model I can think of for British Hannover would be a country like the Netherlands. Rather poor in resources, but wealthy because of services and technology. Great concern with social welfare.

The materials requested shall be of no trouble to acquire. The Vaccins will be of great relief, in some areas, influenza has reached a nearly epedimic crises. We are indeed, in debt to your nation.

OOC: My nation is basically a corporate and personal rights paradise. The Government is really there to run the Military and to keep check on orginizations within the borders which may cause the disruption of personal freedom. Somehow it all works out. Despite the high crime-rate.

TDRODCS would like to establish diplomatic relations with your wonderful nation. As a gift, we offer a pristine, one-off DHV S16XL Limousine, which is really not a production model until 2005, but the prototype has been made free. It's priceless, with it's 427ci (7-Litre) Holden V8 powering up with about 600bhp to the rear wheels. Very exclusive.

The (Federal) United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland sends of its great pleasure at the on going conditions of Hannover's prosperity and democracy since the nations parted direct company. The British people and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth III's British Industrial Democratic government are most keen that our historic ties not fade into obscurity, and hope to take advantage of British Hannover's reaching-out.

In 'my reality' a mister John Bull created the mentioned BID Party, and lately took it to power. Of course, I heartily agree. The ties of history, and in the case of a significant minority of our residents, ethnicity should dictate close ties between us indeed. I propose that we immediately initiate close diplomatic and economic ties between our nations.

The old commonwealth of Great Britain influenced our history greatly, and I am certain that our peoples will benefit from closer alliance.
