Tessen Seeks an Aircraft Manufacturer

Tessen

The Republic of Tessen is prepared to pay $1 million dollars to any military aircraft manufacturing company that agrees to move a military aircraft factory into the nation of Tessen. Military aircraft produced will be of US design (with possible additions of Tessen designs down the road).

Manufacturing facilities will have to be built, although old automobile manufacturing facilities are available for conversion.

Confirmed. Tessen welcomes the Jackdonia Aircraft Factory into Tessen, and wires $500,000 of the said $1 million to the nation of Jackdonia. The remainder will be wired upon the begining of construction or conversion of manufacturing facilities.

Many thanks, and again, welcome to Tessen. How long does your company assume the construction and/or preparation to manufacture will take -- based upon your intended facility specs?

One Million USD is not that good of an offer.

OOC: I don't have any aircraft manufacturing.

What, then, would be a better offer? RL national sports teams pay in the low millions for naming rights to stadiums. How different is this?

Present me with an offer if mine is too low. An enterprising military aircraft manufacturing company has a lot of gain by securing a deal like this -- whatever the agreed upon incentive.

Exactly what are you proposing? We are interested in your proposal; yet wish to know more of the particulars before committing resources to such a project. Below is a list of queries deemed vital before an agreement can be reached.

1) If Hybalt Defense Industries shift production from one of our aircraft manufacturing facilities to Tessen, will control of the complex remain in our hands?

2) Will the plant be under commission by the Republic, to produce designs for the Tessen airforce on a profit by Hybalt?

3) What competitive rates or incentives do your nation offer that would make this venture worthwhile, both to the corporation and shareholders, in the short and long terms?

We look forward to your replies,

Langola(OOC: puppet nation with good arms manufactering) Air Inc. (LAC) would like to take you up on this offer. Our specs, when converted from an automobile plant, should take 1 (NS) year to complete. We will sell the aircraft to Tessen for a low price. But we wonder. Are there Minimum wage laws in Tessen, if they are considered too high for our company, we will be forced to bring most of our workers with us instead of hiring locals.

The Tessen Senate has put this invitation of theirs into question. The idea of retracting it has come up. However, as a decision has not yet been reached in those regards, as follows are answers to the questions asked by those organizations interested in the original invitation.

1) If [aircraft manufacturer] shifts production from one of our aircraft manufacturing facilities to Tessen, will control of the complex remain in our hands?

Tessen: "Yes."

2) Will the plant be under commission by the Republic, to produce designs for the Tessen airforce on a profit by [aircraft manufacturer]?

Tessen: "Yes."

3) What competitive rates or incentives does your nation offer that would make this venture worthwhile, both to the corporation and shareholders, in the short and long terms?

Tessen: "Any winning offer presented to an aircraft manufacturer will see that manufacturer as the ONLY aircraft manufacturing corporation of note within Tessen, and will already be guaranteed sustantial business both from the nation of Tessen as well as her allied nations within the region. This amounts to a very sizable profit margin on all counts. There is no forseeable competition at the moment for any winning contractor. Tax incentives are also available should the contractor relocate to Tessen."

4) Are there Minimum wage laws in Tessen?

Tessen: "Yes. $5/hour minimum required by Tessen law. Child labor is also illegal within Tessen, and will not be a consideration by any winning contractor."

5) QUOTE: "[nation] may use your country's air bases for tactical operations in wartime in the need if the conflict(s) [nation] will be involved with in future times extend to your region.

Tessen: "Foreign militaries are not part of this contract invitation. In regards to this offer, foreign militaries will not be allowed the use of Tessen military installations. This is a commercial contract to create military aircraft. Troops are not required. Tessen is fully capable of defending any manufacturer assets should there be external armed conflict. No armed conflict is anticipated."

A decision from the Senate remains forthcoming. Until that point, however, responses to the original contractual invitation continue to remain invited.

The Republic of Tessen has officially decided to retract their offer. They will not be seeking to award a military aircraft manufacturing contract. Instead, they have secured an agreement with a nearby US manufacturer to supply any needed aircraft.

Tessen wishes to thank those who have accepted the original offer, and to appologize that they have not chosen to award a contract to any of them.

Tessen wishes such corporations strong economic success in their future endeavors.
