We ask for support from our fellow nations offended by the remarks of certain members of OTHAFA.

The Fanfic Writers Paradise Rallies Behind Their Elected Warmaster

After much discussion, the other nations rally behind the one they elected Warmaster. The Immortal Emperor of Fanfiction has commanded that all obey the Warmaster's call, and loyalist forces are gathering to prepare for a great offensive.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Fanfic Writers Paradise was once a great and prosperous nation, attracting many people across the world to settle within its peaceful borders. I, Principle Weishaupt of The Pioneer Government, was one of its original founding members.

(OOC: I have been a part of NationStates for a long time. Every so often I would try to run a little ‘campaign’, ‘diplomatic incident’ or story in the regional discussion. The most famous one was the SonicWorshipper / NeoFederationAlliance diplomatic stand-off over the fate of Amy Rose).

However, not so long ago this glorious Golden Age of Fanfiction came to an end. This Golden Age is now referred to as the Dark Age of Fanfiction. Much technology was lost as entire civilisations were destroyed.

(OOC: Several people without Internet access could not access their accounts and their nations were deleted. At the same time, many people gave up NationStates and were removed from the region)

The once glorious Fanfic Writers Paradise, once at the forefront of scientific discovery and exploration, rotted into dust and obscurity. Almost completely abandoned, the region carried on through the rugged determination of four senior members (Adam Weishaupt, Lorentz Keel, Mistress Nornir and HIM). Old nations crumbled* and newer ones failed to take hold, eventually dying. Old alliance systems, such as the once sprawling Second Illuminati, lost their status and degraded into little more than small independent nations as more and more of their members from many regions vanished and fell. This sad period, where nations fell, has become known as the Fall.

(*OOC - Including some of the oldest founding nations, including the very, very old ‘Holy America’ and not-quite-as-old ‘Sonic Worshippers’)

The Fanfic Writers Paradise sank into madness. The people were unguided, virtually ungoverned and in despair. Once benevolent nations came to be presided over by uncaring masters. This period has become known as the Age of Strife. It is a sad period for TFFWP.

But, a new hope would appear. A new guiding light emerged and set The Fanfic Writers Paradise, one who has watched the region since it’s birth but has always remained hidden – even from the penetrating eyes of the senior members. In time, the being that would become known as the Immortal Emperor of Fanfiction revealed Himself to the surviving members of the region. A wave of support swept through the surviving nations, and at that moment all swore to protect and serve the mysterious messiah. This being, not merely just a man, is an immensely powerful psychic capable of projecting his mind and will across vast distances. He has the power of long life, and is thought to be immortal. The being assumed His place as leader of TFFWP and was crowned Emperor by the senior members, including myself, Herald of The Emperor. This age of rebirth is known as the Age of the Fic-perium. It is the age we live in today.

Few relics from the time before the Fall have survived, except for those kept within the shadowy vaults of Warehouse 17, a nation set up by the alliance headquarters turned nation Second Illuminati to preserve and store knowledge and artefacts.

Fortunately the Emperor has restarted scientific discovery. Under His guidance TFFWP shall reclaim its noted position and one day He shall unite all of Humanity under His banner. When Humanity is united we shall have the strength the defend ourselves from our greater enemies – for why should Humanity fight itself? The psychic fate of Humanity is at stake and if we do not rally we shall fall.

Now that the Emperor has assumed His rightful place as our leader, we are currently in the process of electing the High Lords and Ladies of Fanfiction.

One senior nation has so far declined to become a High Lord of Fanfiction, and that is HIM, leader of –His Infernal Majesty-.

We also have another position, a very special one called Warmaster or Lord Solar. The High Lords elect the official and the Emperor Himself must agree. The Warmaster has supreme power and is second only to the Emperor. He reports directly to the Emperor and is responsible only to Him and to a council of the High Lords. Only the most trusted and skilful individuals can become a Warmaster, and there is never more than one. An alternate title to Warmaster is Lord Solar, which is becoming increasingly popular. The Founder, SEELE-NERV, was elected by unanimous vote last week.

END BACKGROUND INFORMATION

As second-spokesmen for the region I can confirm that each of the twenty-two nations is in favour of this decision, and as Chief Vizier to the Emperor I can continue with 100% truthfulness that the Emperor has agreed to this course of action.

The deadline for The Fanfic Writers Paradise assault is now 72 hours. SEELE-NERV has begun to mobilise our troops and we are confident that our fellow nations are beginning the same thing.

Only unconditional surrender to us will be accepted, it is too late for any diplomacy to appese our region.

So sayeth Bob Page, former deputy of the ex-alliance formally known as The Second Illuminati and current head of the sprawling nation of Majestic States.

I shall rise the draft rate to 5% of the population, that should be enough to take out this nation. Just in case, secondary forces will train actual volunteer recruits in the use of firearms and Majestic States military hardware, provided Majestic Commanders with National Service and Voluntarily Recruited soldiers. This 'two-tier' approach should, combined with a massive amount of funding for the military, produce about 700 000 battle ready, well-trained and well-equipped soldiers (not including volunteers, but we never get much of them anyway. Let's assume they are taking roles in the massive logistical and 'civilian' side of the army/navy/air-force). It's a good thing we just passed a motion allowing us to train soldiers from birth, let me tell you. It's perhaps the only way we can reach the Emperor's 'tithe' for Imperial Arbitor forces (inter-nation police force) and Imperial Guard forces (inter-nation army).

With a Frightening economy (the highest) and a population more than ten times the size of America, I shall deliver the Emperor's Light; whether they like it or not!

Nations that have supplied armed forces to the Emperor's Imperial Guard, to be placed under the immediate authority of the Lord Commander Militant of the Departmento Munitorum (which is SEELE-NERV, also the elected Lord Solar). The troops supplied to the Departmento Munitorum are gathered by any means necessary (volunteering or conscription), they are expected to be supplied and trained to a standard deemed appropriate (varies depending on the nations economy rating).

The Emperor's tithe is currently 5%, that is the base tithe but it may be lessened to make life a little easier on the common citizenry.

The Economy rating for each nation will determine the amount of training and equipment each troop from that nation will have (so a Frightening Economy will provide crack troops with the best hardware whilst a Developing Economy will have poor troops with out-dated equipment.)

(These tithe ratings are very, very rough. Also, for some nations the tithe is 10% and for others it is 0.5% - this is because of the way the tithes are organised. Again, the Emperor is considering dropping this down to 5% or lower to ease the burden on the citizens. For example, I imagine that SEELE-NERV, with a population of 1 224 000 000 could actually have 12 2400 000 with a standard 10% conscription rate or a professional tithe army of 61 200 000 at 5%. OOC: The sticky-marked thread "what is godmoding" that gives all sorts of advice on how to wage war suggests an army 10% of a nations total size, although the Emperor, in His wisdom, has decided to lower this to 5%.)

Fights with elite genetically modified super-human warriors, the Adeptus Astartes, 'The Emperor’s Finest'. Next to impossible to kill, but there aren’t much of them about. *IT'S TITHE IS ACTUALLY 1%*, but each troop is supplied with the finest equipment known to man, and maybe some more equipment not known to man. These genetically engineered super-men can withstand the fiercest fighting and take on suicidal odds and live.
Do the math, one Space Marine is worth five human soldiers.

THIS TITHE IS ACTUALLY 2.5%. Inquisitorial Masters heads up the Inquisition, a group dedicated to finding corruption and treason in the Emperor's Domain. Occaisonally they are at the forefront of a Crusade. The troops of the IM are half as numerous but get twice the training and equipment. Imagine the marines from Half-Life and you have the perfect Inquisitorial Stormtrooper. They are better shots, better armed and better armoured than their army counterparts, though they are no Space Marines. Because of their superior skill and fanatical loyalty, Inquisitorial Stormtroopers are used as commandos and behind the lines operatives. Doing the maths, one stormtrooper is worth two normal troops.

(Fights mainly with quack Doomsday Weapons and Inept Minions, so has no tithe as all the money goes onto the construction of "Lasers" and space-bases that they like to call a "Death Star". Currently they have resurrected an old project(s) that they were once doing with ARK II, Project Eclipse and Project ARK. The project was finished but most of the data was lost during the Fall. Piece by piece they have found the test data of Project Eclipse and Project ARK and might. I can't say what Project Eclipse is, but Project ARK is the building of a new R&D space colony. I believe that that WAS finished but abandoned during the Fall. I believe ARK II has reclaimed it.)

Lord I hope I did the correct maths there. But it does give you a reasonably accurate picture of the Emperor's Warmaster's forces. Of course, the further away from 11:23 FRIDAY, 8th OCTOBER it gets, the less accurate that list becomes.


<EDIT: Oops, I used a 0.5% tithe rating for most of the nations! Times some of those by ten and you have the correct tithes that the Emperor has recieved. It's a nightmare at the Administratum, we haven't actually got an Administrator or a representative High Lord of Fanfiction yet.>

Our invasion plans are thus: the first nation in OTHAFA to fall will the NeoFederation Alliance, followed by New Celeste, then Plinjiville. Our most charitable estimates give OTHAFA 27 days before surrendering to us.

Any particular reason you declared this war or is it just existing tensions, or more likely, boredom? Find another region to declare war on OK? I really don't care.

Our commonwealth would like to pledge our aid in this coming war to the fanfics. Our nation does not maintain anything like an armed force, but our docters and tech priests are unmatched in healing expertice. Also, our nation sports some of the lushest forests around, a place for the soldiers R&R after the war is ended?

After rude and offensive comments were said by two nations in OTHAFA, they have merely pushed forward our schedule! Landing parties are already being sent forward to OTHAFA under the orders that martial honour no longer applies to the enemy and the Geneva Convention can now be ignored, as it is Chairman Keel's belief that such humanitarian laws can only apply if the enemy acts honourably, something that, despite every chance given, OTHAFA has failed to do. We tried to be kind but you force us to be cruel!

I will stick to the Geneva Convention, however if you do not Warmaster, then feel free. You were elected Warmaster. If this guys don't use Clan Hon... I mean Geneva Convention rules then I shall not use them, but otherwise I shall act as befits a nation such as mine.

As I have mentioned, there have been NO previous 'battles' with us and the NeoFederationAlliance. In fact, NFA was once a Senior Founding Member of the region, but left a few months ago. Although he was one of the offenders (of the dodgy telegrames send out) we have never, ever, had bad relationions with him. In fact, he was one of Keel's advisors during the Dark Age of Fanfiction! (As befits a Senior Founding Member)

Indeed Mr Jimmy Cheeney, it is true that the nfa was infact a founding memebr of you region but then for my experience became bored with the consevative nature of the region he helped cofound. which by the way as i was there when the FFWP was created i can clearly recolect him not being there and would have joined very shortly later and so to be a cofounder i always took that to meen actually present at the time with direct input into the creation process. But thats neither here nor there. by the conservative nature i of course referre to the english conservative political partyy who regualry enjoy stabbing themselves in the back.

Actually, I meant that there have been no battles between me and the NFA, although yes, there have been previous Incursions of Anime. Of course, that was before the Emperor showed us the error of our ways and led us on the True Path. And I should know, I am Chief Vizier to the Emperor and a High Lord of Fanfiction!

As for peace terms, I'll let Chairman Keel decide that. (He is the elected Warmaster). Whilst a regional invasion is perhaps too much, I will not stand by and let individual nations insult the honour of the region or the Emperor! I like OTHAFA as a whole, but let not it's individuals stain me with dishonour!

NeoFederationAlliance should say sorry to Gavin Demon and his crew for doing what ever it was that angered them so much. (I'm hearing rumours of insults and anyway they clearly did SOMETHING). Even if NeoFederationAlliance did nothing I think he should be a big boy and say sorry anyway.
