The Venom Corporation, under contract from the Emperor, began an advanced genome project aimed at mapping the human species genetic code. The project makes use of several thousand slaves bough from FSI; the slaves are to be freed upon completion of the project. The project aims to develop a better understanding of the human species and its various attributes, which is why a varied selection of women were acquired.
The Empire hopes to develop better drugs and healthcare techniques from this project.
OOC:
The real purpose of the project is military in nature. This is part of a series of storylines that I am trying to pull together. The IG virus breakout will tie in, several victims will exhibit increased strength, agility, speed, intelligence and a resistance to the virus. ITD already has a cure for the disease. The increases in natural abilities will be permanent (this strain of IG acting as a retrovirus, rewriting the human DNA). We will use this to make advanced soldier units (we are a post modern nation).
With the isolation of the gene responsible for the increased attributes, which will be used in gene therapy on soldiers, and application of this new IG strain, along with a dose of anti virus, we will be able to make "super soldiers".
May or may not work out.
