Emperor Baiziel August Leopold Alexander II (http://img155.exs.cx/img155/6930/emperor49uj.png) : Born March 21, 1943 in Amhurst, Avadria to Emperor August Reinhard Almand Alexander I and Empress Katrina Alexander. Baiziel was one of the six brothers and two sisters of the Imperial Family.

Minister of Military Affairs August Kurgen: Born November 16, 1953 in Regensberg, Avadria. August Kurgen was born into a wealthy family, his father the Governor of Osthafen and co-founder of the East Avadrian Shipping Company. Enlisted in the Imperial Youth Korps at age 16 and served in the military for the next thirty years. He retired from the service in 1999 at the rank of Field Marshal and was immediately appointed as the Minister of Military Affairs by Emperor Baiziel August Leopold Alexander II.

Historical Events of the Past 30 Years:

1974: The Seeds of Revolution In a remote region of northern Aufsatz, a man by the name of Francis Beliam began to speak out against the Emperor. He spoke of opression, poverty, corruption, all eminating from the Imperial Family and their order. Beliam made the suggested that a new form of government be in place. One where the people choose who makes the laws. One where a commoner can rule the priveledged. His ideas spread throughout the country side, it's messangers wary to avoid Imperialist ears. There message was sent all the way down to the Hinterlands, where a man by the name of Jonas Merk preached the words of Beliam.

Over time the numbers grew. An army of anti-royalists in the South and an army in the North. Finally on November 14th, Beliam and Merk met in the town of Ebenesberg. There they set their plan in motion. Once spring arrived they would launch a two pronged advance on the Palace. Their word would be spread to the interior and change would seize the Empire.

1975 - 1976: The War of Thorns Once the snows had melted Beliam's soldiers advanced on the town of Sudostberg. They quickly seized the town, recruiting more soldiers for their cause. The government however was quick to react, dispatching troops to quell the uprising. Vicious fighting ensued in the outskirts of the town.

Seizing on this opportunity, Merk advanced to strike at the soft underbelly of the beast. They seized Albren and advanced into southern Volkherz. Albren served as a valuable command post for the Southern Revolutionary Army.

Within days the SRA had advanced northward, splitting their forces to seize the town of Fallsburg and flank the arriving government soldiers. The maneauver worked, luring the Army to Fallsburg, where they faced heavy, detirmined resistance from Revolutionary forces and then a attack from behind by the other half of the SRA forces. The resulting battle cost many lives on either side, but the SRA emerged victorious, capturing hundreds of loyal Avadrian soldiers.

Beliam's forces however were not nearly as fortunate. They were forced to retreat to the north, the army right on their backs. Due to resourceful planning by Beliam, his forces managed to evade and disappear from the loyalist forces, giving them plenty of time to recover and gather more resources while the army continued to hunt for his forces.

The Southern Revolutionary Army continued to advance rapidly towards Amhurst in hopes of catching the army off guard. However just miles away from Amhurst, Merk's forces engaged in heavy combat with a large defensive force, detirmened to protect the capital. The battle dragged on for days, heavy casualties were reported on either side, but the army was detirmined to protect the captial and bolstered it's numbers with soldiers from the north.

Seizing on this opportunity, Beliam's revolutionaries resurfaced and moved with lightning speed towards Amhurst, prepared to enter the city from the north.

1982: Communist Movement in New Beijing Inspired by the efforts of Merk and Beliem the Sino-Avadrian National Workers Party began an immense recruiting effort throughout New Beijing. Within three months the SANWP had grown to over 300,000 members. Satisfied with those numbers the SANWP's leadership decided to stage their revolution.

Protests began all throughout the city calling for political reforms and the end of class divides. Local police forces were unable to subdue the demonstrators and some were even absorbed into the group. As more members joined the protest they began to increase in their intensity. Soon buildings and automobiles were being smashed and burnt as well as effigies of the Emperor, the Prime Minister, and the Mayor of New Beijing.

Avadrian forces were called up, but remained on the outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, the Imperial Oriental Korps' Angriffgruppe O-4593 under the command of Hauptmann Kun Bai Sei was deployed into the city. Their they engaged in armed conflict with the revolutionaries.

The initial hours of urban combat weighed heavily in favor of the IOK forces. Over 3,000 demonstraters were arressted while 700 were killed in combat. The IOK lost only thirty men in the fighting. However the combat dragged on throughout the day, the death toll rising on each side. Countless members of the SANWP were arressted or killed, the battered streets eventually clearing. However the Avadrian government wanted to make sure that the SANWP was finished. House to house sweeps of New Beijing commenced resulting in the arrest of 500 members of the party and the death of 103 IOK soldiers as a result of ambushes or boobytrapped rooms.

After a three days of intense fighting the SANWP was offically disbanded. The top survivng members and those deemed as members of the more militant wing of the party were promptly tracked down and arrested. A majority of the said individuals were either detained for life or executed.

In all 10,782 members of the SANWP were arressted and roughly 15,300 killed. The Imperial Oriental Korps suffered 529 deaths during the combat
